I went looking for a luxury vehicle with my wife. I walked into De La Fuente Cadillac and was approached by Randy Hanslik. Randy was very polite, helpful and was not "pushy." We eventually purchased walked into De La Fuente Cadillac and was approached by Randy Hanslik. Randy was very polite, helpful and was not "pushy." We eventually purchased a Cadillac CTS from Randy and the whole experience was amazing from the beginning. Randy was able to have all the documents ready for me to sign when I arrived at the dealership. When I entered the FINANCE DEPARTMENT the place where wars are sometimes started the experience was just as gratifying "no problems." In ALL my experiences of purchasing a vehicle this one by far has been the BEST. I say THANK YOU to Randy and De La Fuente Cadillac, my wife and I LOVE the vehicle!!!!!! More

Randy is by far the best auto salesman my wife and I have had the pleasure of working with. We called ahead to tell Randy what we were looking for and made sure the 2012 Cadillac SRX we saw on the internet w had the pleasure of working with. We called ahead to tell Randy what we were looking for and made sure the 2012 Cadillac SRX we saw on the internet was still available. When we got to the dealer, Randy was standing outside waiting for us. Before we even went for our test drive, Randy went over all of the key features of the vehicle (instead of what normally is the case of immediately going for a test drive). Randy also offered to let us drive the car off the lot by ourselves for a test drive, but being unfamiliar with the area, we asked Randy to come with us. The test drive was very pleasant and Randy continued to go over the highlights and advantages of the car. When we got back to the dealership, it only took us a few minutes to agree on the price of the car. What we most appreciated was the "no pressure at all" attitude that Randy had. He allowed my wife and I to discuss by ourselves the decision to go through with the sale or not. After agreeing to the price, Randy took care of getting our new Cadillac cleaned and serviced for delivery to us. Randy also assisted us with transferring our personal belongings from our old vehicle. After we bought the car, Randy spent another half hour or so providing us with more details and instruction on the operation of the SRX. Of note, in our excitement with the new SRX, we forgot to give Randy the spare set of keys to our old vehicle. We went back the next afternoon to give Randy the keys and although my wife waited in the car for me to return the keys, Randy walked back out to the car with me to make sure he greeted my wife and ask if she or I had any questions. Absolute pleasure to work with and I would estimate that Randy spent more than 3 hours with us (all in a very relaxed and personal atmosphere; he made us feel very welcome and although this is the first luxury car we have ever owned, Randy answered all of our questions and concerns. On a scale of 1-10, I would rate Randy's customer service at 100; he is that great of an employee. Thanks to Randy for making us feel like we were the only customers that mattered and taking care of us for the whole afternoon. It was truly an enjoyable buying experience (and I expressed my sincere appreciation to Randy when when we came back the next day). Although we did not spend as much time with Rick (he works the finance issues), our time with Rick was just as enjoyable. He thoroughly explained all of the financing issues and answered all of our questions. What my wife and I both admired about Randy and Rick is they both always called us by our first names when they were speaking with us, yet another superb example of the personal touch they both provided during our visit to their dealership. My wife and I want to sincerely thank both Randy and Rick for their outstanding professionalism and dedication to meeting their customer's needs. Other automobile sales personnel would do well to take some lessons from Randy and Rick in the art of proper "care and feeding" of a customer. Thanks again to Randy and Rick for an absolutely fantastic buying experience. More
My vehicle was due for an oil change, I didn't know where to take it and I had only heard that De La Fuente Cadillac just take advantage of you. As I read through the carfax reprot, I noticed the dealer offered this car for sale more than a year ago (4/2011) & it had not been reported sold since that carfax report was entered. That tells me the dealer has had the car for more than a year. We asked who has been driving the car for the last year because there was 4000 more miles on the odometer since it was first offered for sale in 2011. The dealer said the carfax was worng. He has only had the car for less than a month. When we asked how we figure out if this info was wrong , the Dealer said it was up to me to figure it out , NOT HIM..... They were very rude . He kept trying to confuse us with other service reports on the carfax report. WE WALKED OUT... I suggest you avoid De La Fuente Cadillac..... We delted with was Rick Rodrigues the sales manager & Randy Hanslik the internet salesmen. Both treated us like we were stupid for even questing what they said. More
I hate having to write a complaint, but I hate even more feeling like my buying experience was a disappointing one and I don't think what happened to me should be acceptable. To preface, my husband and feeling like my buying experience was a disappointing one and I don't think what happened to me should be acceptable. To preface, my husband and I had decided to purchase a 2011 Cadillac SRX. We had researched the car thoroughly and knew it was "the one" for us. We were returning to the US from living overseas for several years, so we began our correspondence with De La Fuente Cadillac in El Cajon. We let Enrique Rodriguez know that we would not need a test drive, we knew EXACTLY what we wanted to purchase and which features we wanted included, were military and were looking for pricing information. Enrique "Rick" Rodriguez from De La Fuente in El Cajon told us they could order the SRX exactly as we wanted for $39,500 plus taxes and fees and asked for a $500 deposit to process the order. They seemed honest and friendly, so we were happy to choose them as our dealer. My daughter and I arrived in the US at the same time as the SRX, around the Christmas holiday. I arranged with the dealer to come in today to purchase and pick up the SRX. I dropped my rental car off and the dealer sent someone to pick us up and give us a ride to the dealership, which I found very helpful. But upon arriving and beginning the paperwork, I felt very taken advantage of. I was presented with a Theft Protect form that Enrique Rodriguez told me I was obligated to purchase for $299 since it had "already been installed" in the vehicle and could not be removed. I told him that I was not interested in the plan and that on the form itself, in bold print, it said that I did not have to purchase this plan to take the vehicle. From line 8 of the form "PURCHASE OF THE SYSTEM IS ENTIRELY VOLUNTARY AND IS NOT REQUIRED IN ORDER TO PURCHASE, LEASE OR OBTAIN FINANCING FOR THE COVERED VEHICLE." He told me that that was not the case. At that point, I told him I needed to speak to my husband, who was still overseas, finishing his military tour. Upon talking to my husband, he agreed that the form was clear -- we shouldn't have to purchase the Theft Protect plan. I again told Rick that we did not want the plan and he again told me that was not optional. At that point, I asked him to fax a copy of the form to my husband so that he could take it the legal office at his squadron to have them look at it. They looked at the form and agreed that according to the form itself, we did not have to purchase the plan. Again, I told Rick, and so did my husband, that we did not want to purchase the Theft Protect plan. At that point, Rick told my husband that because they were cutting us "such a good deal" that if they didn't sell us the Theft Protect Plan, they would lose money on the transaction and not be able to sell us the vehicle. To be noted -- in our emails prior to the SRX being ordered, we never tried to negotiate a lower deal from De La Fuente Cadillac. We simply emailed and asked what our pricing would be as a military customer and accepted the offer they gave. The "Theft Protect Plan" was never mentioned and we never would have been interested in it. At that point, I felt completely trapped. I was stranded at the dealer, new to the area, with a toddler daughter and was 8.5 months pregnant. To say I felt taken advantage of doesn't being to cover it. What should have been a pleasant experience and a fun day was completely soured. To add a little bit of salt to the wound, Rick at one point commented that my children were going to be too close in age. (2.5 years apart.) I said that in the beginning I'd worried they'd be too close too, to which Rick told me "Well, there's birth control to prevent that." Rick's comment about my reproductive choices was not what bothered me the most although I felt it was inappropriate. What bothered me the most is that I was taken advantage of and forced to buy a Theft Protect plan that I clearly did not want and should have been within my legal rights to decline without losing the option to purchase the vehicle I had ordered and put a deposit on 6 weeks prior. As I left, Rick made sure to tell me to give him good marks on his "report card." I will not be returning to De La Fuente Cadillac in the future for any sort of business. I found my experience there to be extremely disappointing. I really do love the SRX... I just wish Rick had been as classy as the car. And that I wasn't forced to purchase something that I clearly and repeatedly stated I did not want and that according to the form itself, I shouldn't have had to purchase. I am not looking for an apology from Rick, as I really don't want to hear from him again, but I would like to have my $299 returned. I have contacted customer service at Cadillac and will be making what happened to me known. Looking at other local review sites, my story is definitely not a one-of. Other people have had the same "Protect Plan" scam run on them as well. As a side note, Randy Hanslik at the dealership, who gave me a brief tutorial on how to operate my new vehicle was very friendly and fantastic. Efrim, who picked me up from my rental car company was also outstanding. However, Rick was not and I'm extremely disappointed with how he conducted business and treated me. His behavior was abhorrent. More
During the last six months I visited several automobile dealerships while looking for a new car. There are two issues I want to address. 1. In most cases the sales person(s) was/were friendly, but, not dealerships while looking for a new car. There are two issues I want to address. 1. In most cases the sales person(s) was/were friendly, but, not necessarily listening to what I was asking. And while I understand they want to make a sale, if they do not listen, how could I possibly make a deal with them. 2. In a few instances, a salesperson explained what they had, including financing terms and available rebates, etc. However, they did not demonstrate any initiative in offering to search outside of San Diego for a vehicle I may be interesyed in buying. In a few cases they were incorrect regarding financing options. Neither of these issues were a factor after I was contacted by Mr. Rodriguez at De La Fuente Cadillac. I found Mr. Rodriguez and his staff to be attentive to what I asked, polite, and very interested in helping me find a car that I wanted. They carefully explained financing options as well as rebates, and if they did not have an answer, they told me they would get it, and they did. Although I did buy a car they had in their inventory, they offered to locate other cars within 150 miles, and showed my what was available. As I mentioned, other salespeople did not make that effort. My overall experience and satisfaction with the people at De La Fuente Cadillac is Five Star. More
I have been buying cars and trucks for 40 years and always dread going to a dealership. The folks at De La Fuente have changed that in one visit. I felt absolutely no pressure from anyone, it was hones always dread going to a dealership. The folks at De La Fuente have changed that in one visit. I felt absolutely no pressure from anyone, it was honestly the best car buying experience of my life. I saw an internet ad for a car I was interested in and since it was close to home I drove by the following morning to take a look. I actually found a similar car that my wife liked better so we negotiated a reasonable deal. Randy truly did make my wife feel like she was part of the process and she had a huge smile on her face when she drove the car on a test drive then finally home. Randy did not go back and forth to the "boss" as is typical of my previous experience at other dealerships. While Rick was finalizing our transaction, Angelo was very patient and helpful showing my wife how to use all the options on her DTS. Annie was a gem to work with and made us feel at home and like family finalizing the financing. Any other experience of mine at other dealership's is once the papers are signed they are off to the next deal. Annie continued to work for us after the deal and negotiated a better rate 2 days later. What an impact that made on me. I am a customer for life and will recommend these folks to anyone who will listen. I hope the De La Fuente ownership knows what quality of people they have, hopefully this review will reinforce that.
