We understand your frustration. In the state of New York sale price vs cash price or dual pricing is allowed. A PIN debit is no different than credit or any other “plastic” form of payment. Cash or check payment is less than the "plastic" form of payment. Our credit card terminal which debit card payments are made on gives the option to the customer on form of payment information. Additionally, the repair order signed before the repair is completed goes into detail on pricing and fees. Feel free to contact, Tony Vicente at 516-285-6655 ext. 126 to discuss this further. I’m certain that you’re legally covered by providing the fine print. I clearly did not read it, because I was trying to figure out which services I could afford at the time. But just because it’s legal, it doesn’t make it right. Your reps go into great detail to telling us what services we need, letting us know that there will be an additional charge if paying by credit/debit would be appreciated; it is literally one sentence. Furthermore, at the time of payment, I was given only a choice of card or cash; at no point, was I told I could pay by check. So going forward, take the extra time of informing your customers and do the right thing by them.
