I took my Honda CRV in for maintenance check and very satisfied with the service I received. Of course, there are always extra things that need to be done which I cannot always afford. However, I never satisfied with the service I received. Of course, there are always extra things that need to be done which I cannot always afford. However, I never feel pressured to do so. More
They are not costumer oriented and don’t give and accurate solutions for their costumers. Last year I bought a car with technical issues they knew it and they still sold me that car; now I’m wastin accurate solutions for their costumers. If I could put 0 starts I would do that. I bought a 2014 Nissan Sentra from them on July 2021, I bought the extended warranty because the car had a lot of miles on it. They sold me the most I bought a 2014 Nissan Sentra from them on July 2021, I bought the extended warranty because the car had a lot of miles on it. They sold me the most expensive insurance they could get their hands on. (The insurance was for a convertible car and I bought a 2014 Nissan Sentra) BUT THIS IS JUST THE BEGINNING. About three or four months after I bought the car, the transmission started to fail. So I took the car to them and oh surprise; the car needed about $1,000 worth of work which I paid for. Some time after that happened the car failed again AND OH SURPRISE THE CAR NEEDED A WHOLE NEW TRANSMISSION. HONDA OF SANTA MARIA DID THE WORK, and now the car is failing again on the same issue that they supposedly fixed. After 18 months I decided that I had it with this car (I suppose they sold it to me knowing it needed a lot of work But i guess they needed to sell a car that day) So I decided that I would sell the car back to HONDA OF SANTA MARIA after all, they sold it to me; they serviced the car 2 times including a whole new transmission and OH SURPRISE, THEY WERE NOT INTERESTED IN PURCHASING THE CAR. The biggest disappointment is that I suppose they sold me the car knowing it needed work. Probably just to meet their sales quota. And now that’s costing me a lot of money. Like I said at the beginning if I could put 0 starts I would do it. I will also create a video and put it everywhere I can hopefully we can save some other customer from this company. More

The sales person I spoke with was not at the dealership (the sales people are at another location - this is a problem because they don't really know anything about the cars.) They assured me it was in excellent condition. I told them I wanted to drive in and pick up the car. I told them I was going to pay cash and to have the car ready. When I arrived, the car was NOT ready. It was an electric vehicle and it wasn't even charged. This way I could not see what the fully charged range of the car was which is important to know - and I would need to wait for the car to charge so I could even drive it home. The car was also dirty inside. Worst of all, the car had a number of fairly significant scratches on the side that were not visible in the photos and not disclosed in the ad. Then came time for the final price invoice. Before I had come to the dealership I had confirmed with the salesperson that there would be no additional charges. However, there were additional charges, including $499 for an "etch" service that I did not want or need. This is a scam. Also, the DMV charges seemed high, so I went on the DMV site on my phone and entered all the required information and the DMV told me I owed approximately $200 less than what the dealership was charging. It also turned out that the registration was a couple of months past due and they were making me pay for those extra months. While I was trying to decide if I still wanted to go through with the purchase, an existing customer came in and had a heated exchange with the same salesperson because he had just purchased a brand new car for his son from the dealership that had been delivered to his son with numerous scratches - but at night so he couldn't see them. At that point I decided that they were not honest and not a company I wanted to do business with, so I left without completing my purchase. Overall a very negative experience. More
I took our 2018 Honda CRV in for a regular service at Santa Maria Honda. Upon completion of the service, I drove the car home and decided to look under the hood to ascertain if everything that was told m Santa Maria Honda. Upon completion of the service, I drove the car home and decided to look under the hood to ascertain if everything that was told me per their inspection sheet had been accomplished. I opened the hood and immediately saw the windshield reservoir cap was left open. I checked the reservoir and it had not been filled. It was half empty. I then checked the air filter and cabin filter and both were extremely dirty. I had asked for the tires to be rotated and per the service agreement the brakes would also be checked. The brakes had not been checked which left doubt as to whether or not the tires had been rotated. I took the Honda back to the dealership and spoke with the service manager. The service manager listened, but could have cared less as to my findings. I advised him I was going to leave the two filters as evidence so that he could show them to the technician. He advised me to take the two filters as he did not need them. I told him I was not going to take the two filters but leave them there as I said as evidence. He said he did not want them on his desk, and that I was to take them with me. I told him that if I took the two boxes, I would not ever bring back my Honda for a service or any type of work. He looked at me, said nothing and I left with the understanding that he thought it more important not to dispose of two filters on his desk but to lose a customer. This is our third Honda, and with that being said, I will never go back to the Honda dealership for service or buy a Honda again. More
