I spent the better part of a day talking through things to buy a car with Miguel and took a break to get some lunch which Miguel said was ok. All I really wanted when I got back was for them to take off th to buy a car with Miguel and took a break to get some lunch which Miguel said was ok. All I really wanted when I got back was for them to take off the charge for the satellite GPS service, which I did not want. Miguel even admitted that dealerships began installing these in 2020 when theft from car lots increased. Dealerships elect to do this as a tool to manage and secure their inventory, which is understandable. However, when a consumer purchases the car it should be optional not required. They were trying to force this charge on me and that was the last bit of negotiation that I wanted was just for that charge and service to be removed. Removing it would have brought the cost to exactly what I was willing to pay. Things were going very well, or so I thought. Unfortunately, when I was gone, the ‘manager’ (Mike, I believe) sold the car to an ‘online buyer’ who ‘paid cash’. Miguel then proceeded to give me unsolicited advice about how to buy cars and close a deal. In my opinion, this dealership (Miguel and Mike) should be taking advice from me. It is wrong to treat people this way. So, instead of closing the deal with fairness, common courtesy and respect Miguel and Mike sold this car to somebody they don’t even know or have never even met. I will absolutely NEVER return to the dealership and I do not recommend anyone work with them. They clearly do not care about people and only care about making the most money possible. More
