I went to Salem Honda for an oil change. ...when it was done, I received a call that said that they broke off a lugnut when they rotated the tires. I didn't want my tires rotated as i was getting ready to replace them and was informed that it would cost $ 425 to fix! The service manager, a Mr Peterson called me a week later and said that he would fix their mistake for no charge. I never heard back from them and a called a couple of times, left a couple of messages. I even reached out to their corporate office (Lithia) and again received no call. am harassed by the men that work at Honda every time I go here, I purchase this car about a year ago, this is the second time I’ve had to take my car in for a factory defect. I have no car and have no eta o here, I purchase this car about a year ago, this is the second time I’ve had to take my car in for a factory defect. I have no car and have no eta on when the window will be replaced. I have had nothing but horrible experiences with this car and the dealer ship that I got it from. This is completely unacceptable for a first time buyer and a first time car. I do not recommend this dealer and do not recommend this car. I am without a car and soon to be without a job because of this inconvenience. And I like how everyone gets a reply on the review except for me. If this continues I’ll be seeking legal action August 12/2025 Today I was refused service for an oil change with no explanation. When I called to inquire more information I was given the options to pay, pay more or xxxx off. Tips for new car purchases 1. Don’t pick Honda of Salem 2. Double check your paperwork 3. Get an educated second opinion This will be my third corporate complaint and my third better business bureau complaint. Big corporations don’t care, but what’s worse is the people who willingly steal and rob from the lower class to feed the rich. I made a deal with the devil(Honda). -100/10 don’t do what I did. Called about the recall on my 18 CRV. Service department was rude answering the phone, then hung up on me. I assumed we got disconnected so called back and waited 15 min on hold. no way t Service department was rude answering the phone, then hung up on me. The only way they answer the phone is if they're trying to SELL you something, otherwise you can forget it. Left a message with the manager, and no big surprise, no call back. Found a car in our price range. Eric was texting me back and forth with car link to the car we liked. He text the price of 25 thousand plus fees. We get to dealership and Eric hands us off to George. George hardly said a word. We put in our offer of 24,000 with all fees covered by them. George comes back showing us the price of 32,000. All these fees they don’t tell you about. Dishonest sales people and dealership. Hand off approach and dishonest. More
