If you had plans to visit this weekend…CHANGE YOUR PLANS! !! AND DEFINITELY DO NOT LET YOUR OLDER PARENTS OR GRANDPARENTS COME HERE ON THEIR OWN!! I had a very disappointing experience at Honda of Fort M !! AND DEFINITELY DO NOT LET YOUR OLDER PARENTS OR GRANDPARENTS COME HERE ON THEIR OWN!! I had a very disappointing experience at Honda of Fort Myers filled with dishonest, misleading, deceiving, bait & switch sales tactics! Very shady business practices going on here!! I had multiple issues when I came here, but I will list the most important issues below in order. #1: SCAM PLAN!! If you come here, plan to pay an EXTRA $2,400 for what they call the Honda Advantage plan. More like a disadvantage plan… Basically, an extra fee for lots of worthless and useless stuff! It is just a way for them to offer a lower price online, and then add this on to the financing to get more money. And why call this a plan??? If it cannot be removed, then why not add it into the base price? Misleading a customer with a low price and then adding a worthless upcharge plan is very deceptive and unbelievably deceiving to say the least… I personally spoke to the AGM (Ryan), and he told me they have to offer deceptive pricing online to appear to be a competitive price when compared to other dealerships… WOW!! #2: FINANCING SCAM!! If you still plan on going here, my advice is GET APPROVED THROUGH YOUR BANK OR ANOTHER LENDER and bring documentation with you!!! I have an extremely high credit rating. I had already gone online to check out the % range, so I was expecting to get a rate on the low end. I also got approved through Bank of America before going just in case. During financing, the manager told me the lowest I was approved for was an 8.4%. That was 3% higher than BOA was offering me!! I then told him I was approved through BOA at a much lower rate. He lied to me and told me they do not use BOA! I found out later this was A HUGE LIE!!! Obviously, the finance manager was trying to stick me with a company that he would get a higher signing bonus for!! #3: NEVER NEGOTIATE?? We made multiple phone calls to the dealership before driving for 1 1/2 hours to Ft Myers. We were EMPHATICALLY told by salespeople on the phone that there was “definitely room for negotiation!!”. When we got back from the test drive, and sat down to talk about purchasing the vehicle, they totally switched their story and told us that they NEVER NEGOTIATE. They started pressing us and asking exactly who we talked to on the phone!! Almost like an interrogation, an extremely uncomfortable and unpleasant experience! Essentially, making us feel like we were lying because they didn’t believe someone had told us this!! A random finance manager even walked up to the table and rudely told us that he was going to go back and to listen to the phone calls?! He never came back after that… HMMM… #4: UNPROFESSIONAL & DISRESPECTFUL ENVIRONMENT!! As we were going through financing, there was an office full of 4 or 5 men, yelling and cursing in the office directly across from the finance manager. Very disrespectful! I tried my best to tune them out, but words like “xxxxx GIRLS” were hard to ignore!! At one point my finance manager actually engaged in the conversation! My daughter and I were sitting right there... but they didn’t even care about that at all!! Crazy!! Very unprofessional environment!! I could not help to think about my parents, grandparents, or in-laws being subjected to this type of environment! WOW! The complete lack of respect was astronomical!! As mentioned before, do not send your older parents or any other of your elders here!! My goal in writing the review was to help someone make the decision of whether to come here or not… DON’T COME HERE!! STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!! More
