This dealership is close to my home AND THIS IS THE ONLY REASON I USE IT for the last 4-5 years for my 3 currently owned Honda vehicles. I never used Honda North before because I had Herb Chambers Honda de REASON I USE IT for the last 4-5 years for my 3 currently owned Honda vehicles. I never used Honda North before because I had Herb Chambers Honda dealership near my workplace that I used ever since I bought me first Accord. I never had bad experience with them and when time came to by a new vehicle Herb Chambers gave me a deal $3K less than at Honda North. They said that they value my business and want to keep me as a customer. Many times when I tried to schedule service appointment at Honda North which was near my home, it was like pulling teeth. So I stayed with Herb Chambers. Things have since changed. I do not work near at my old place any more and North is the closest dealership to get to. Also North became somewhat better. I had a friend working there so I was willing to put up with some shortcomings. As my friend, a manager at North, admitted, the service department at Honda North...could be better. Much better. I agree with him how. Here is why: During the regular service that includes among other things suspension inspection they missed worn out ball joint (and a strut also). As dangerous as failing ball joint is, I was willing to ignore it. I sent e-mail and left a voice message about this for the person who worked with me, BUT RECEIVED NO RESPONSE WHATSOEVER. A week later I sent e-mail to service manger explaining the matter. He called me back (thanks Steve) and promised to look into this and three weeks later I assume still looking since I have not heard from him. I am willing to overlook the missed worn out ball joint (for inspection of which they nevertheless charged me as part of the service), nobody is perfect. But the attitude of the Honda North service department is totally unacceptable despite the fact that I I bought 2 new Accords from them in the past and left many $$ thousands over the years servicing 3 of my current vehicles. Not sure if I go back. There are two other dealerships nearby and I am willing now to try them. More
I was contacted by Honda North in regards to my Auto-Trader.com request to sell/trade-in my car. I was originally contacted by Kathleen Corcoran but was unable to answer so she left a message. By Auto-Trader.com request to sell/trade-in my car. I was originally contacted by Kathleen Corcoran but was unable to answer so she left a message. By the time I called back (the next day), she had forgotten she called, so she forwarded me to another customer service rep. I finally set an appointment to have my car appraised, and was supposed to be met by Wahid Hamdy at 3:30 PM on a Monday. I arrived maybe 5 minutes late for my appointment, and asked for him as I was instructed to do so in the email traffic. The concierge handed me over to a sales representative who did not know much about the appraisal process at all, understandable considering it is not his job. I should have been working directly with the appraisal representative. Instead, this sales rep had to run back and forth between Mr. Hamdy and I for over 45 minutes asking me questions about my car and its condition. I requested to be outside with the team when they were looking over my car just before the sales rep went back to Mr. Hamdy the last time. After waiting for almost 45 minutes more, the sales rep came back to me with a quote for the purchase of my car. They had done the appraisal and driven my car without my knowledge. I kindly rejected their offer and walked out. I never had the chance to even meet whomever this "Wahid Hamdy" was and he drove my car and appraised it without ever getting to know his customer. I never gave him permission to drive or touch my car. Handing over the keys does not give the dealership full rights to do whatever they want with the car. I sat in my chair for over 2 hours total without ever really knowing what was going on, and that is not acceptable. I would not recommend any person to either sell or trade-in their car at Honda North because it is obvious that their purchasing office does not understand the meaning of customer relations. More
My wife and I have purchased two brand new Hondas from Honda North. We both put 30 thousand miles a year on our cars. My wife has a 2008 Pilot (loaded) it's awesome! The Pilot purchase was the first car w Honda North. We both put 30 thousand miles a year on our cars. My wife has a 2008 Pilot (loaded) it's awesome! The Pilot purchase was the first car we bought from " No fuss Gus Noci" what a great guy! If your going to spend over 30k for a car why buy a peice of junk. HONDA makes some of the most reliable cars in the world and HONDA NORTH will take care of you!!!! I brought my 2009 CR-V EX ( which I purchased from Cool Gus Noci) in for service due to a very strange circumstance. A dead bird was jammed in my engines cooling fan and did some costly damage due to over heating some engine parts. WHAT THE xxxx.. only my luck! A one in a million shot! Mike Seigin in service took care of me. I dropped my car off at 7am when they opened, was given a rental and was on my way to work into Boston in all under 10 min. My CR-V was fixed and my out of pocket expense was minimal. THEY TOOK CARE OF ME.... END OF STORY. My wife is planning on trading in her Pilot next year for a new one and my father will be looking to trade in his car as well. They both will purchase for Gus Noci I would not have it any other way. I work to hard to throw money away. VALUE, QUALITY and SERVICE is all I'm looking for and have found just that at HONDA NORTH. I should mention that EVERYONE I have dealed with at HONDA NORTH has been top notch. More
When I left work yesterday in Wakefield, my low oil light came on. As I was driving from Wakefield to Maine, I knew I needed to have this addressed asap. I was fairly sure I just needed an oil change. came on. As I was driving from Wakefield to Maine, I knew I needed to have this addressed asap. I was fairly sure I just needed an oil change. We were used to waiting for the little wrench to come on, but now that our 2008 Accord has 110K miles on it, we need to address oil changes much sooner than waiting for the wrench. I pulled into Honda North 10 minutes before Service was closing, expecting to be turned away. The Service Tech finished with the customer on the phone, greeted me with a smile and said “no problem – we can take care of you”! Most places (anywhere, not just car repair) would have rolled their eyes at that last minute customer running in before closing. Not only was I helped, everyone was friendly and I even got to relax with a free Diet Coke. ? Honda North saved me from a potential issue since I was going to be driving 2 hours home on low oil. A huge THANK YOU to the Honda North Service Dept!! Much appreciated, -Mary Murphy More
Giving a free cup of coffee is not sevice!! Fixing your car properly is!!there is no comuinication there they never called customer to update with good or bad info. often had to wait hours longer than quot car properly is!!there is no comuinication there they never called customer to update with good or bad info. often had to wait hours longer than quoted for car, they really wasted about 36 hours of my time. when i recieved my fixed car I had to bring it back three times untill it was right, workmanship was very poor, they are clearly to busy to deal there buisness properly anymore. To bad they've outgrown there costumers!!! They just want to move car's and are willing to except a large percentage of poor workmanship and unhappy costumers to do volume. As the word gets out and the cash stops comming in they will get back to there roots and do what there add proclaims! take care of the costumer. I will be driving back to Boston Honda even thought this dealer is right down the street from my new home. the extra drive is well worth it not to deal with The Danvers Honda again!!!! i will never go back, not even for an oil change, they have lost a costumer for life! I've bought 5 hondas in totall from the Boston dealership and have never had any real problems. I guess i know were I will be buy my next Honda!! More
Their service department destroyed my brand new cars interior. The kid that works there had a keychain dangling from his waist. There were about 50 keys on in, no eggageration. He is climbing in and interior. The kid that works there had a keychain dangling from his waist. There were about 50 keys on in, no eggageration. He is climbing in and out of the car with his feet on my leather seats and dragging his keys across my console and everything else. He dripped ink on my red leather from a black pen. He scuffed the leather with the soles of his sneakers. He scratched the heck out of my console and passenger door panel with his keys. I watched all this happen in front of my eyes and pointed it out to a service manager immediately. He tells me to calm down it's a Honda not a Ferrari. Nice thing to say about your own brand. They lost my key so I had to make an extra trip to bring them my spare. They never found it so now I only have one remote for the factory alarm/door locks. When I went back for the third time to finally pick the vahicle up there was a rust ring from where they had set down some type of spray can or other metal can and it was there so long it left a rust ring on my silver paint of my trunk. After dozens of phone calls to different managers and getting nowhere I talked to the owner and he wouldn't do anything for me either. Beware of this dealership. They are bad news from the top to the bottom. More

However, the service department, along with their Service Manager claimed otherwise and gave me a quote of $5065.00 plus tax to replace short block. I told them I had a case # through Honda Cars of America and that they said it was under warranty. They would not accept that. I then called back Honda Cars of America and told them what Honda North claimed and they offered to call up Honda North and have them make repairs for free. I declined their offer and took my vehicle to Honda Cars of Boston instead. I received AWESOME service from Eugene of Honda Cars of Boston!! I would never step foot in Honda North again. Since telling people about my experience, I have heard a number of terrible things that have happened there. Although, it is nice to know I am not alone in my feelings, I feel that something should be done to correct this terrible service department. I would not recommend Honda North to anyone!! Maybe Honda North should take some Customer Service training classes from Eugene Anderson of Honda Cars of Boston!! More
Me & my wife DREAD buying cars. The pricing games, bait & switch advertisements & the wasted weekends spent shopping around have all been huge negative factors over the years. We bought our other car @ Lexus switch advertisements & the wasted weekends spent shopping around have all been huge negative factors over the years. We bought our other car @ Lexus of Watertown to break this trend & it worked. Looking back to yesterdays Honda North experience, I'm realizing that it was pretty much the same. Honda North gives you their best price right from the start & the negotiation turns into a conversation. Shopping around proves this price to be slightly lower than the price after lengthy negotiations @ other dealers. They throw in free inspection stickers & oil changes which is all nice but I appreciated them trying to build a relationship rather than them pushing a one time deal very DESIRABLE. Respect & understanding are qualities easily found here which cannot be said about a place like Boch. I ended up talking to 4 or 5 sales guys who were all good guys & then the finance guy Paul was great. He laid out several payment options & then found me a lower rate than I was hoping for from a credit union. I will tell friend & family to use Honda North in the future without question. More
Let the buyer beware!!!!!! I have to say my last service at Honda North was not the worst dealer experience but a very close second. I will tell you that I have been a Honda North customer for many years a at Honda North was not the worst dealer experience but a very close second. I will tell you that I have been a Honda North customer for many years and purchased 7 different cars since 1985. Something has changed at Honda North and not for the better. My car was damaged by a service tech trying to load tires in my trunk. They completely blow me off saying" we don't damage cars." Now, I tried to talk with them and basically was called a lier. I have had a number of very good experiences at Honda North in the past, the last one three years ago when I made my last purchase. I can tell you that the service department has taken a dramatic down turn. The staff is unfriendly, unprofessional and full of attitude. I have been in business for many years and things like this always come from the top down. By that I will bet a months salary it is systemic. I am going to buy a car in the next six months. I will need to find another dealership. I never write these things so believe me when I say (STAY AWAY FROM HONDA NORTH.) You will save yourself a lot of trouble. PS. I brought my complaint to American Honda yet another first for me and was treated like a criminal. They said it was between me and the dealer. I am currently looking at Toyota. I hear they are still treating people with respect. What happened to Honda customer service? More
