I recently purchased a new Honda Accord EXL from Honda North in Danvers. Upon arriving at the dealership, I was pleasantly greeted by Chad. It was busy but he came right over to me and made me feel welcom North in Danvers. Upon arriving at the dealership, I was pleasantly greeted by Chad. It was busy but he came right over to me and made me feel welcome. He asked some questions to understand what my needs were in a car and what I was intereted in. Chad was well prepared and well informed about the vehicles and was able to answer the many questions I had. He was also very polite and patient. I narrowed it down to the Accord and the CRV of which Chad recommended I test drive both. He went over both vehicles from top to bottom. It was a pleasant experience talking to someone who knew both cars and didnt rush through explaining the features of each. After going through both vehicles and test driving both, I really liked the comfort and drive of the Accord and knew that was the car I wanted. The one price value price took the hassle out of haggling, something I do not like doing. I like that idea. The purchase experience at Honda North was the easiest car buy I have ever had. I highly recommend this dealership for a great buying experience with very knowledgeable and friendly people as well as getting a great vehicle! More
Giving a free cup of coffee is not sevice!! Fixing your car properly is!!there is no comuinication there they never called customer to update with good or bad info. often had to wait hours longer than quot car properly is!!there is no comuinication there they never called customer to update with good or bad info. often had to wait hours longer than quoted for car, they really wasted about 36 hours of my time. when i recieved my fixed car I had to bring it back three times untill it was right, workmanship was very poor, they are clearly to busy to deal there buisness properly anymore. To bad they've outgrown there costumers!!! They just want to move car's and are willing to except a large percentage of poor workmanship and unhappy costumers to do volume. As the word gets out and the cash stops comming in they will get back to there roots and do what there add proclaims! take care of the costumer. I will be driving back to Boston Honda even thought this dealer is right down the street from my new home. the extra drive is well worth it not to deal with The Danvers Honda again!!!! i will never go back, not even for an oil change, they have lost a costumer for life! I've bought 5 hondas in totall from the Boston dealership and have never had any real problems. I guess i know were I will be buy my next Honda!! More
This was a waste of time. My wife and I go in on a Saturday after we were at Todd Farm. We were in the buy mode and had a check for a down payment on us. We wanted an Accord EXL. We pull up in our old Saturday after we were at Todd Farm. We were in the buy mode and had a check for a down payment on us. We wanted an Accord EXL. We pull up in our old beater minivan, go in and Waheed greets us. After finding out we want a new car he starts asking why we want to waste money on new when we can get a used one. Then he proceeds to tell us that he only sells used and is the used car manager. The place was pretty busy and after a few tries Waheed gave us to Gus. What a joke. He looked us up and down(we were both a little ragged from hauling antiques), we told him what we wanted and we knew they had it. He asked us if that was our minivan. He started telling us how he was the number guy in the region, he sells mor ethan anyone.. and then brings us over to show us his awards and xx. What a joke. Then he tells us that he cannot help us as he has a delivery coming and he will get someone to help us. We asked to use the bathroom, and then left. I threw his card on the ground. What a joke this place is. We had a check for 10k and we were ready to buy. My wife and I laughed and went home, had lunch, made a few calls and we were in the new car we wanted on Monday. The funny thing is that we live up the street from the Butchery and would have liked to buy there. My advice? Stay away from here. More
I called the internet manager Maryanne, interested in a 2006 Honda Accord. She told me it was still available and asked when would I be in. I told her I would be there within the hour. Once I showed up I s 2006 Honda Accord. She told me it was still available and asked when would I be in. I told her I would be there within the hour. Once I showed up I spoke with another salesman, Bo, who told me it was in fact sold. This is the second time she has messed up. A year and a half ago, my wife and I went there looking for a minivan. I again spoke with Maryanne, and she didn't have her facts straight again. She is the reason I will not shop there again, what a waste of time. More
I don't feel I got what was promised. Meeting with the Financial person was rushed. He did not take the time to review the data. Could not explain how prices were arrived at. I was looking for a new car for my family, and after visiting IRA Toyota of Danvers I never wanted to do business with them again. I didn't agree on a price with the sales person, and so decided to leav visiting IRA Toyota of Danvers I never wanted to do business with them again. I didn't agree on a price with the sales person, and so decided to leave. Afterwards, I went to the North Honda dealership in Danvers after having read great things about Honda vehicles. Upon arriving at the Honda parking lot, the salesperson Andy Addivinola came up to us and offered his help in choosing a car. We let him know about the failed visit at Toyota, and he informed us that the Honda Accord was extremely similar to the Toyota Camry, which we were initially interested in. Andy was extremely well prepared and well informed. He was also very polite and patient, waiting for us without rushing until we made our final decision. He showed us the vehicle inside and out, and explained its features in detail. After looking at the Accord, we were also interested in the CR-V. Andy was also very knowledged on the CR-V and he gave us a lot of information on the vehicle. He also encouraged us to take it for a test drive. We liked the CR-V somewhat but noted that it was not as comfortable as we would have desired. In addition, Andy thought that test driving the Accord would be a good idea. We decided to do just that, and upon arriving back to the dealership we were in love with the Accord. We are very happy that he persuaded us into test driving both vehicles so that we were able to see exactly what was the best fit for us. We were extremely interested in the Accord and Andy promised us that he would give the best deal possible. He tried extremely hard with the manager negotiating with him back and forth until he was able to obtain a very favorable price for us. He was actually able to match Toyota's price. It was in fact a bit funny because while we were deciding on a price with Andy and his manager, the Toyota salesperson called to inform us that they would give us our desired price. We were confident that the Honda Accord would be the most appropriate vehicle for us and we were interested in purchasing it. We were unable to make the decision that night because it was past 9 p.m. and we also wanted to make sure that we were making the right purchase. We came the next day, and phoned Andy right away, but unfortunately he wasn't working at the time. It was a shame because he had done so much to help us, I felt bad that he wasn't able to finish the sale. Another Sales person was there: Gus, the Senior Sales Representative, who helped us out with completing our purchase. He was extremely professional as well as highly corteous. I noticed that he had 3 or 4 different customers at the same time, and would move from table to table ensuring that no customer felt left out. He was very helpful, and stressed the team effort that characterizes the North Honda dealership. He was also extremely patient, tirelessly waiting for us to make a decision regarding the vehicle's color, features etc. Unlike other dealerships, I observed that the sales people at North Honda are all working towards the same goal: genuinely working towards providing their customers with great quality cars. Thanks to the salespeople! They made my car shopping experience at Honda extremely enjoyable. I am currently driving a 2010 Honda Accord, and I am very happy that I made the right decision when I purchased it instead of the Toyota Camry. More

This review is about the sales department at Honda North. The past month or so, I had been looking to purchase a mid-sized SUV. Honda North was my last stop, and actually the only Honda dealer I worked with. I had visited four other dealers for other companies as well. I went in on a busy Saturday and happened to catch a salesman, Gus, right after he finished with a call. And I am very glad our timing worked out that way, because Gus turned out to be the best car salesman I've ever worked with. He was extremely relaxed, low-pressure, and easy to talk to. He was also incredibly straight forward. We went out for a test drive of the Honda Pilot, and after we were done he even let us drive the Honda CRV for comparison. I actually was the one who asked him if we could put a deposit down on the car - the opposite experience of the other dealers we worked with. I went in another time later that week with some concerns over the price, which he allayed by reducing the cost further. The day of the purchase went just as smoothly. He didn't try any of the multitude of tricks I was prepared for. Even in the finance office, we were offered a warranty and that was it! The only part of the deal I was disappointed in was the trade-in value for our Civic. I trusted Gus's explanation of the reasons for it, and I know I was always free to walk away and sell it on my own, so if anything I blame myself for taking the easy way out. In any case, I would highly recommend Gus at Honda North if you're looking to purchase a car and don't want the runaround you're likely to find at other dealers. More
AVOID THIS DEALERSHIP AT ALL COST! I purchased a used 2007 Honda Accord from Honda North in February 2010. I purchased the extended warranty as well as a paint protectant which was applied to the paint f 2007 Honda Accord from Honda North in February 2010. I purchased the extended warranty as well as a paint protectant which was applied to the paint finish. I picked the car up on a Tuesday and went to wash it the following Saturday at HMA Car Detailing in Salem, MA. When I was drying the car I noticed spots all down the passenger side of the car so I had the owner of HMA take a look at my car and he said that it seems that the finish was applied over tar spots. Honda North had applied the paint protector without properly cleaning the car first. I returned to the dealership to show them the mess of the car and this was the beginning of a nightmare. From this point on I was treated like dirt by the managers and employees of this TERRIBLE dealership. I had requested to bring my car to HMA for them to wet sand and detail my car and they told me that I could only have it done at a company they deal with. They assured me that it was being sent to Auto Body Clinic in Peabody which they said was a large reputable company. The car was to be ready the next day but when I called to see if I could pick it up they said it would be one more day. I decided to call Auto Body Clinic to see what work that they had done on my car just to find out the car was never sent there. It was sent to another shop in Peabody. When I received my car back I was not at all satisfied. They had wet sanded the car and made a mess on the hood and there was still a lot of tar remaining on the bumper. When I let them know I was not satisfied the manager laughed and said "What do you want? It's a used car." I paid $16,000 for this used car which Honda North made a mess of because of their negligence. I made several trips to this dealership only to be lied to over and over again. At one point a manager closed the door of the office and had his finger in my face and yelled at me and told me never to return to the dealership again. Then he told me that the warranty I had purchased required me to return to their dealer ship for service. On March 31st I wrote a letter to cancel my warranty so I would never have to return to this dealership again. They told me that the $1380 would be sent to the lien holder and taken off the balance of my loan within 5 weeks. Two weeks later I got a call from one of the employees in the finance department saying that I should consider keeping the warranty. I was furious because I had canceled the warranty two weeks prior and purchased a new warranty from a much more reputable dealership HONDA CARS OF BOSTON. (If you want real service and GREAT customer service go to this dealership. I wish I had gone there first.) I told him he better cancel my warranty immediately. I called back two days later to make sure he had canceled it and he assured me that everything was all set and it should be credited to my loan within 5 weeks. Four weeks passed and I was in the process of refinancing my car and I called to get the payoff amount on the loan only to find out it had not yet been credited. I located the number of the company that Honda North purchases their extended warranties and called them to see when I should expect the $1380 to be credited to my loan only to find out that HONDA NORTH HAD NEVER CONTACTED THEM. I returned to the dealership and confronted them about this and had the same TERRIBLE service I have come to expect from them. They wouldn't give me the money until I made them aware that I had acquired a lawyer and also was in the process of reporting them to Help Me Hank of Channel 7 news. Save yourself MANY HEADACHES and STAY AWAY FROM HONDA NORTH!!!! IF YOU WANT GREAT SERVICE GO TO HONDA CARS OF BOSTON, YOU'LL BE GLAD YOU DID! More
Their service department destroyed my brand new cars interior. The kid that works there had a keychain dangling from his waist. There were about 50 keys on in, no eggageration. He is climbing in and interior. The kid that works there had a keychain dangling from his waist. There were about 50 keys on in, no eggageration. He is climbing in and out of the car with his feet on my leather seats and dragging his keys across my console and everything else. He dripped ink on my red leather from a black pen. He scuffed the leather with the soles of his sneakers. He scratched the heck out of my console and passenger door panel with his keys. I watched all this happen in front of my eyes and pointed it out to a service manager immediately. He tells me to calm down it's a Honda not a Ferrari. Nice thing to say about your own brand. They lost my key so I had to make an extra trip to bring them my spare. They never found it so now I only have one remote for the factory alarm/door locks. When I went back for the third time to finally pick the vahicle up there was a rust ring from where they had set down some type of spray can or other metal can and it was there so long it left a rust ring on my silver paint of my trunk. After dozens of phone calls to different managers and getting nowhere I talked to the owner and he wouldn't do anything for me either. Beware of this dealership. They are bad news from the top to the bottom. More
