What a great experience from start to finish. I was greeted by John Byrd when I entered the doors with a big smile. I knew this was going to be a different car buying experience and I was right!!!! Joh greeted by John Byrd when I entered the doors with a big smile. I knew this was going to be a different car buying experience and I was right!!!! John listened to everything I had to say and helped me pick out the preowned vehicle that fit my needs best. At that point I met Peter Thistlewood who is the business manager. Normally this is where the pain really starts but good times kept on rolling. He explained all my options regarding financing and protecting my investment. I have never bought any of that stuff but Peter explained everything to me instead of trying to trick me. This was the best car buying experience I have ever had. I have already referred two of my coworkers and a family member to Honda North. If you're in the market for a new Honda or pre-owned vehicle I would definitely stop by Honda North and ask for John Byrd or Peter Thistlewood. More
Extremely helpful with all questions and fulfilled all needs and expectations. I did not bother going to any other dealers. The price was excellent. This dealership is close to my home AND THIS IS THE ONLY REASON I USE IT for the last 4-5 years for my 3 currently owned Honda vehicles. I never used Honda North before because I had Herb Chambers Honda de REASON I USE IT for the last 4-5 years for my 3 currently owned Honda vehicles. I never used Honda North before because I had Herb Chambers Honda dealership near my workplace that I used ever since I bought me first Accord. I never had bad experience with them and when time came to by a new vehicle Herb Chambers gave me a deal $3K less than at Honda North. They said that they value my business and want to keep me as a customer. Many times when I tried to schedule service appointment at Honda North which was near my home, it was like pulling teeth. So I stayed with Herb Chambers. Things have since changed. I do not work near at my old place any more and North is the closest dealership to get to. Also North became somewhat better. I had a friend working there so I was willing to put up with some shortcomings. As my friend, a manager at North, admitted, the service department at Honda North...could be better. Much better. I agree with him how. Here is why: During the regular service that includes among other things suspension inspection they missed worn out ball joint (and a strut also). As dangerous as failing ball joint is, I was willing to ignore it. I sent e-mail and left a voice message about this for the person who worked with me, BUT RECEIVED NO RESPONSE WHATSOEVER. A week later I sent e-mail to service manger explaining the matter. He called me back (thanks Steve) and promised to look into this and three weeks later I assume still looking since I have not heard from him. I am willing to overlook the missed worn out ball joint (for inspection of which they nevertheless charged me as part of the service), nobody is perfect. But the attitude of the Honda North service department is totally unacceptable despite the fact that I I bought 2 new Accords from them in the past and left many $$ thousands over the years servicing 3 of my current vehicles. Not sure if I go back. There are two other dealerships nearby and I am willing now to try them. More
I've leased 4 Hondas before, this was the first at Honda North. I went to 2 other dealers before going to Honda North, and the expierence I had there was exceptional. I was met by John, who was the best sal North. I went to 2 other dealers before going to Honda North, and the expierence I had there was exceptional. I was met by John, who was the best sales person I have ever dealt with. I knew what I wanted, an Accord V6. John was very knowledgable about the car, and showed me all the new changes Honda has made since my 09 Accord. I felt no pressure at all, and in the end I recieved the best price at Honda North. I would recommend Honda North to anyone who wants to get treated right! More
After sending the email below to the general manager, I recieved a call from the used car manager and after talking about my experience he agreed to pay for a second key for the car I purchased. I sent hi recieved a call from the used car manager and after talking about my experience he agreed to pay for a second key for the car I purchased. I sent him the receipt and didnt hear anything back. I sent another two emails and after I called to make sure the email address was correct, one of the admins said she'd make sure it was acted upon. Now a couple of weeks has gone by and now she isnt even responding. Mr Collins, I thought you should know about my time at Honda North. My sales process went smoothly. I had an Acadia that was traded in for a 2007 Mercedes. The car is fine and I got it at a reasonable price. I ended up paying for a protection plan that I didnt need but that's on me to say No and I didnt so I accept that. Good salesmanship on their part. My issues has to do with delivery of the vehicle. I showed up yesterday around 2:00. All I needed was a set of plates and a sticker. It took almost 2 hours to get this done! 2 hours, really? While I'm waiting Jamaal walks over and says my tradein payout went up over the weekend and he needs another $20 from me. I just spent $22,000 and you need $20 more? Really? Also while I'm waiting, Chad the expediter gives me the folder containing the owners manual. Only problem is that there is no owners manual in it. I ask Jamaal, "What can WE do about it" and he says I have to go to Mercedes to get one. It's my problem. Really? I also mention to another finance guy (Pete?) that your website ad mentions Navigation with this car and I was wondering where it was. He checks on it and it turns out there is no navigation and says indirectly you're not responsible since its some other company that does the website. Really? Its probably a stretch to say thats false advertising but its your website so you really do "own" it. Finally as I'm checking out the car before leaving, I ask Jamaal for the second set of keys. He goes to look for them and comes back empty handed. It's again my problem. Really? The final thing I say to Jamaal is that "I'm not happy!". How is it possible that you let a paying customer leave the premises pissed off? In the old days I would, over time, tell 10 of my friends about a negative experience at Honda North and they might tell a couple of their friends, and so on and you are probably never affected. In today's internet age, I can go and write a negative review and thousands of people will see it immediately. Customer support is more than just asking if I want a bottle of water! You may have saved a couple of hundred bucks but you lost a customer and a reference. More
Month of Nov is to honor Veterans. Being a vet, they offered employee pricing for the month of Nov. The price quoted was $400 more than truecar's best price, but they were offering the difference in tr offered employee pricing for the month of Nov. The price quoted was $400 more than truecar's best price, but they were offering the difference in trade in value. No one else beat the overall value of this establishment. They even donate $100 to the Wounded Warrior Project for each car sold in the month of November. We would have bought from here if this wasn't one of the first places we looked at. More
We have purchased three cars in the past from this dealer. We expected that this would "earn" us a fair price. WRONG! We went in to purchase a new CR-V. Stock was limited as it is at all dealer. We expected that this would "earn" us a fair price. WRONG! We went in to purchase a new CR-V. Stock was limited as it is at all Honda dealers because of recent events in Japan. We met with Eliezer. Eliezer was a very pleasant man who seemed like he wanted to earn our business. Eliezer and the sales manager swore up and down that we are long time customers and that they "will take care of us" It turns out that he gave us a price that was inflated by $1000 over what we ended up paying at another dealer and Honda North under-valued our trade by $1000. The monthly price we were given was $55/month over what we paid by going to another dealer. So much for loyalty and "value pricing" Steer clear of this place unless you enjoy paying more. More
I was contacted by Honda North in regards to my Auto-Trader.com request to sell/trade-in my car. I was originally contacted by Kathleen Corcoran but was unable to answer so she left a message. By Auto-Trader.com request to sell/trade-in my car. I was originally contacted by Kathleen Corcoran but was unable to answer so she left a message. By the time I called back (the next day), she had forgotten she called, so she forwarded me to another customer service rep. I finally set an appointment to have my car appraised, and was supposed to be met by Wahid Hamdy at 3:30 PM on a Monday. I arrived maybe 5 minutes late for my appointment, and asked for him as I was instructed to do so in the email traffic. The concierge handed me over to a sales representative who did not know much about the appraisal process at all, understandable considering it is not his job. I should have been working directly with the appraisal representative. Instead, this sales rep had to run back and forth between Mr. Hamdy and I for over 45 minutes asking me questions about my car and its condition. I requested to be outside with the team when they were looking over my car just before the sales rep went back to Mr. Hamdy the last time. After waiting for almost 45 minutes more, the sales rep came back to me with a quote for the purchase of my car. They had done the appraisal and driven my car without my knowledge. I kindly rejected their offer and walked out. I never had the chance to even meet whomever this "Wahid Hamdy" was and he drove my car and appraised it without ever getting to know his customer. I never gave him permission to drive or touch my car. Handing over the keys does not give the dealership full rights to do whatever they want with the car. I sat in my chair for over 2 hours total without ever really knowing what was going on, and that is not acceptable. I would not recommend any person to either sell or trade-in their car at Honda North because it is obvious that their purchasing office does not understand the meaning of customer relations. More
Examined a used Ridgeline which had not been prepped yet and did not mind the fact it was still dirty. The salesman attempted to down play the damage on the truck. Ding in the front hood, very small dent and did not mind the fact it was still dirty. The salesman attempted to down play the damage on the truck. Ding in the front hood, very small dent in left door, etc. I saw a similarly priced Ridgeline at another dealer for just 7 dollars more but it was the next trim level up. I explained all of my concerns and observations to Tony the salesman and asked him bring it to the sales manager for possible negotiation on price or add on's. I took a while to explain the plusses and minuses, including what I valued in the vehicle under review. Tony went to Wahid and brought him out. At this point I expected some intelligent discussion on my stated concerns. Tony had not explained my point to Wahid and wanted me to go through the entire pitch again. A real waste of my time and very poor way to treat potential customers. Showing very little concern or respect to the public. Use this location to negotiate better prices at another dealer, but don't bother going here. More

His name was Jeff Lewis and he actually listen to me and paid attention to details and did not pressure me at all He called a few times but was not overbearing as a lot of sales people are. Even after the deal was done he took time to come out and explain how everything worked. This has never happend in the 6 or 7 new cars I have bought in the past. I also dealt with Peter of the finance department who was clear and imformative and help me set up the finances fast and easy. Even though, I had to travel out of my way to go to this dealership I high recommend to people that it was worth the trip. When buying a new car you don't need hassels so this is the place to go I know I will go back next time I need a new car and so will my boyfriend who was also impressed with Mr. Lewis and the others More
