Terrible and Unprofessional I had an emergency flat tire that needed to be take care of. I have Honda Care roadside assistance in which my car was towed to this dealer seeing as I had an emergency flat tire that needed to be take care of. I have Honda Care roadside assistance in which my car was towed to this dealer seeing as it was the nearest dealer. My car was towed at 9am and I still hadn't received any calls by 11am about my car. I called the dealer and they had no clue where my car was and it had not "been looked at yet" once they did find it. I got a call around 12:30pm to give me the estimates on the flat. At that point I requested to have my oil changed in addition to the flat tire since I was planning to take my car in on Monday to my own Honda Dealer. They said they would complete all maintenance without any problems and would give me a call when the service was complete. Several hours later I received no phone calls to let me know that my car was ready for pick-up. I called the dealer after work at 5:45pm and was placed on hold because they could not find any paperwork for me and had to look for my car. In the course of being on hold, they asked me 3 times what kind of car I had which tells me they weren't really listening the first time I told them. They asked me if I was told that my car would be ready for pick-up the same day. I told them that there was no reason that it shouldn't be done as my car arrived to their shop at 9am with a flat tire and needed only an oil change. I demanded that the car be fixed as I live more than an hour away from work and had no other way to get home. The gentlemen told me he would call me back and let me know what was going on and that he would have to call his manager Andres. 30 minutes later, still no return phone call. I called the service department back and this time they said they were going to complete my paperwork and that the car should be ready. I arrived to the service department around 7:00pm and paid for the service to find the cashier either texting or on facebook on her cell phone. As I approached the counter, she didn't even bother to look up but finished whatever she was doing on her cell phone before she asked what I needed. Upon paying the cashier, I asked if the oil change had been done, she replied with "yes." After a few minutes, she looked at the invoice "puzzled" and then asked me to sign. When I looked later on at the paperwork, there was no indication that the oil change had been done at all. When my car was brought around for pick-up by the service dept., the volume of the car radio was at 100% blasting music. I could hear the car radio from inside the shop. I never have my car radio on when I leave my car so I know it was the service men. I also noticed the radio channels had been changed. I don't know if these service men think they are driving their own cars but I was irate that they were screwing with a customers car as if it was their personal car. I still will now need to go and get my oil change on Monday from my own Honda Dealer which has 100% better service than this place and could of saved me a trip if they did what I asked them to do. I will never have my car taken to Honda City again for any kind of service even in an emergency. More
Buyer...Be Aware Last night I went to this dealer (Honda City Chicago) with two of my friends that were interested on buying a new CR-V Touring ($35,000.00 +/-) and he Last night I went to this dealer (Honda City Chicago) with two of my friends that were interested on buying a new CR-V Touring ($35,000.00 +/-) and here is what happened... I went with them 'cos I got some experience buying cars from dealerships in the past 20 years so they ask me to help them negotiate the price and the loan since this was the first time for them buying a new car. Just to start, sales reps does not have enough desks to accommodate customers so you have to wait for a desk to sit down and start negotiating. After we spend a couple of hours negotiating the price and getting approved for a loan of $22,000.00 approx. they demanded to see the $13,000.00 cash that we have as down payment after that a finance guy named Richard (In case that was his real name) came to our desk with some crazy numbers and trying to force us to buy a loan for 60 months with a payment of $699.00 per month OMG!!! (please do the math). When I try to show him what kind of predatory loan this was, things got ugly with him, he got really mad and left the table throwing all the papers to me and my friends and throwing insults to me specifically. The worst thing here is not the unprofessional attitude of this guy, I think the worst think here is how this dealer try to trick customers into PREDATORY LOANS like the one he was trying to sell us, taking advantage of people that is trying this experience for the first time. NO DOUBT IN ORDER TO DO BUSINESS WITH THIS GUYS YOU NEED A CALCULATOR AND A LOT OF COMMON SENCE. Please Buyer be really aware. Thank You More
Certified Preowned and Wrecked Beware. From talking to reputable dealerships, most will not certify a vehicle that has been in a major accident. Although, to the extreme side, Zimme Beware. From talking to reputable dealerships, most will not certify a vehicle that has been in a major accident. Although, to the extreme side, Zimmerman Honda in Moline IL would not certify a vehicle that had a 2 inch scuff/scratch on the rear bumper. I was trying to figure out why an air box fastener was missing on my 2014 Odyssey. When I replaced the bolt, I had to use several thick washers to fix the misalignment. This prompted me to dig further. It appeared as if the entire frame was canted. Then looking at the welds, they were very sloppy and nothing like the opposite side of the car. This car was in a significant front end collision but did not show up on the carfax report. Perhaps, Honda City covered up the repair work? We'll never really know. But, the fact that Ryan Graham (general manager) ignored all of my emails and calls, kind of tells me someone is admitting guilt. The salesman Jesse was helpful. I bought the car late at night after the dealership was closed. It was missing the floor mats and the owner's manual. After much persistence I was sent a 2012 manual, then a 2014 manual, and had to pick up the floor mats because shipping was "too expensive". Also, only two of the three mats were found. Not a good experience overall. Would not do again. Stay away from Honda City. More
ripped off- Will never buy from here again. I went there early this year. I did my research on what I was looking for and had 3 cars in mind. I arrived, and the sales person made everything seem I went there early this year. I did my research on what I was looking for and had 3 cars in mind. I arrived, and the sales person made everything seem ssoooo easy and smooth, we came to the conclusion that I would pay 305.00 monthly. I even added the AIP warranty. (interior warranty for 2,000.00 more) ... To make story short, it was 9:00pm when I finally made the decision, some guy Jesse took over the first person I was dealing with had to leave at 9:00pm, once it was time to sign paperwork ,the contract said I would be paying 330.00 monthly. it doesn't seem a lot of money, but in the long run, where are my $1,500 going to?? I questioned it and they said "is 330.00 too much that you wont be able to afford? " Let me remind you that I felt pressured because I did a trade in, so by the time it was time to sign all agreements, they had already "helped" me move my stuff from one car to the other and they had even put the plates on the new vehicle. Fine, I signed and went home... I love my car, but I am paying for the AIP Warranty, which they told me "if your seats get dirty, torn or stained, bring it in and we either clean it or replace the seats" I have taken my car in TWICE this year since March and both the times I missed work, and unfortunately, I get my vehicle back The same way I took it in!!! This second time happened just last week.. So why exactly am I paying for this AIP warranty??? Of course I call a manager and leave voicemail, but until this day, I have not received a call back! I call the dealer to ask questions and everyone seems lost, plus they all give me different answers.. I love my car, I love Hondas, but I will never get a car from here again!! I am still wondering where my $3,000-$3,500 are going to!!! More

After a year we called for an appointment to fix the dent but when we arrived they said we didn't have an appointment. I even called twice b4 coming in to confirm coz we leave in round lake which is an hour drive to pulaski. Me and my husband had to debate so hard just to accommodate us coz it's not our fault. We even took day off coz they only do dent repair on a weekday. Today we have an appointment to fix the door lock which I scheduled a week ago and now they're saying again we don't have an appointment in their system. That's not only what's pissing me off, gurnee dealer refused to fix the door lock coz they said the wiring was tampered when entertainment system was installed so we have to bring it back to pulaski dealer. It's already a nightmare to drive to pulaski and then they keep mesing up our appointment in their system. We'll never buy again a car from honda city. More
