The Certified Pre-Owned inspection were optional items and were clearly explained during your visit. At no point were you required to purchase those items in order to buy the vehicle, if fact I told you I would remove them. As we discussed in person, our goal is to provide customers with options and complete transparency so they can make the decision that best fits their needs. We regret that there was a misunderstanding regarding those offerings and that your experience did not meet your expectations. Thank you for the response, but I disagree with that characterization. The main issue is the $499 Certified Pre-Owned Inspection Fee. The vehicle was already advertised online as Certified Pre-Owned. A CPO inspection is not an optional accessory or add-on. It is a required part of making a vehicle Certified Pre-Owned in the first place. So if the vehicle was truly available at the advertised price as a Certified Pre-Owned vehicle, then the cost of the CPO inspection should have already been included in that advertised price. Adding a separate $499 CPO inspection fee on top of the advertised price makes no sense. I would also like to know what that additional $499 Certified Pre-Owned Inspection Fee would have included. Was there a second CPO inspection being performed after the vehicle had already been advertised as Certified Pre-Owned? If not, then I do not understand how that fee could be presented as a separate optional item. And when I questioned that specific charge, I was told “that shouldn’t be there.” That is exactly the problem. It was on the paperwork, increasing the price, and only became something that “shouldn’t be there” after I caught it and questioned it. That makes it feel like the fee was slipped into the pricing paperwork and would have stayed there if I had not noticed it. The same concern applies to the separate $499 Accessories Package. It was included in the pricing paperwork even though it was not part of the advertised price. If it was truly optional, it should not have been added to the price unless I specifically chose to purchase it. My complaint is not that optional products were explained to me. My complaint is that the paperwork increased the advertised price with added dealer charges, including a Certified Pre-Owned Inspection Fee on a vehicle already advertised as Certified Pre-Owned. That is why I found the pricing misleading, and my review accurately reflects my experience.

The vehicle was available for purchase at the advertised price, and after you raised questions regarding the figures presented, any optional products and charges were immediately reviewed and removed. We specifically offered to sell you the vehicle for the advertised online price plus only applicable tax, title, license, and state-required fees. At no point were you required to purchase any accessories, certification-related products, or dealer add-ons in order to buy the vehicle. In fact, once your concerns were brought to our attention, we addressed them and presented the exact pricing you requested. We understand that vehicle pricing can sometimes be confusing, and we strive to be transparent with every customer. Unfortunately, despite our efforts to clarify the numbers and accommodate your request, we were unable to reach an agreement. We wish you the best in your vehicle search and appreciate the opportunity to earn your business.

My review does accurately reflect what happened during my visit. The issue is not that the charges were removed after I questioned them. The issue is that I had to question them in the first place. The pricing paperwork I was shown included a $499 Certified Pre-Owned Inspection Fee on a vehicle that was already advertised online as Certified Pre-Owned, along with a separate $499 Accessories Package. Those charges increased the advertised price before I objected to them. That is the problem. A Certified Pre-Owned inspection is part of making a vehicle Certified Pre-Owned. It is not some separate optional accessory. If the vehicle was already advertised as Certified Pre-Owned, then the certification inspection should have already been completed and included in the advertised price. I also specifically asked what that additional $499 CPO inspection fee would have included, and that question still has not been answered. Was a second CPO inspection going to be performed? If not, what exactly was that extra fee for? I also want to be clear that I was not confused about the pricing. I understood the numbers very well. That is why I noticed the extra charges and questioned them. Saying that vehicle pricing can be confusing makes it sound like this was a misunderstanding on my part. It was not. The paperwork was not transparent. If these were truly optional products, they should not have been added into the pricing paperwork as part of the price unless I chose them. Instead, they appeared in the numbers, increased the price, and were only reviewed and removed after I caught them. So yes, the final price may have changed after I objected. But that does not erase the fact that the initial paperwork included extra dealer charges that were not part of the advertised online price, including a CPO inspection fee on a vehicle already advertised as Certified Pre-Owned. That is exactly what my review describes.
