Disappointing After utilizing a Preferred Buyers Program I took the time to perform due diligence. I had everything taken care of, from financing to coverage's, and After utilizing a Preferred Buyers Program I took the time to perform due diligence. I had everything taken care of, from financing to coverage's, and extras, less the signature needed to finalize any auto loan. This was prior to driving an hour to purchase the car I was told was on hand and readily available by a member of the sales staff. I did not get the car I wanted, it was not on the lot and was not when I called for verification. I was passed off from one sales person to another. The car I did purchase was misrepresented due to the sales staffs lack of knowledge. The purchase process was intentionally and unnecessarily dragged out to a few hours; I believe I was there for 4 hours. All I needed was a price, something I reiterated nearly a dozen times. At signing, it seemed as though they were offended or put off because of the fact I had everything taken care of prior. Now, nearly 2 week later, the loan for my trade is still outstanding and I am responsible for two loans. When I inquire, I am told they are looking into it... at what point of the process was my payoff removed, being the dealership has been paid and the loan for the new vehicle initiated, with all transactions pertaining to said process going through the same financial institution? As a vehicle inspector, I handle everything from fraud prevention and asset verification to check exchange for title, if I conducted my self in such a manner, both the banks and the consumers would have profound issues and I would be unemployed. As a consumer, I did my part to ensure my time at the dealership was both efficient and minimal; it was for nothing. If you ordered a pizza and were told it would be ready in 15 min, then drove 20 min to pick it up but it wasn't ready, and after another 10 min of waiting you find they had your ticket but never made the pizza. You wait another 30 min to get a pizza and its not what you ordered nor does it have all the items they stated. What would your feelings on the matter be concerning $22.00 I drove an hour to purchase a vehicle I was told was on the lot. The dealership was informed that I was utilizing a Preferred Buyers Program and my financing as well as additional coverage was already obtained. They were also aware that I had a trade, what that vehicle was and that I expected no more than $1000 for the trade. I was aware of all applicable rebates and incentives and informed them of such over the phone and via email. I was there to get the final price, sign the loan, and drive off the lot; a 45 min process at the most, I was there for slightly over 4 hours, the vehicle I came for per verification was not there, the vehicle I did get was similar, yet after looking at two models and having various aspects highlighted, settled on one that in-fact lacked some of what was stated; a $22,000.00 matter More
