I took my 2009 Camry to Freedom Toyota to have recall work done (Power window assembly) that couldn’t be performed at my normal auto-body shop (Palmyra Auto Service). Nice waiting area and work was don work done (Power window assembly) that couldn’t be performed at my normal auto-body shop (Palmyra Auto Service). Nice waiting area and work was done expediently. However, I was told by the sales clerk that there were ‘extensive’ issues found with the car that required ‘immediate’ attention. I did not request to have these things looked over. This included the tires (noted as worn and damaged), the cabin air filter, the belt (frayed and worn), and a leaking water pump. This was curious to me since I had just had the car inspected earlier THAT WEEK by Palmyra Auto Service, who had not noted any of these concerns (NOTE: Palmyra Auto has serviced at least half a dozen cars for our family for 20 years and we have NEVER had a car break down on us). Additionally, the sales clerk at Freedom had told two other people waiting of similar unknown, but ‘immediate’ issues while I was waiting for the work to be completed on my car. I declined any repairs or additional information from Freedom, and instead took the inspection sheet with the noted concerns immediately to Palmyra Auto to follow-up, just to be sure. Long story short, there were no issues with any of the noted items (Palmyra Auto was good enough to take me back and SHOW me each specific ‘issue’, then explain what a worn belt would look like, etc.). This was done at no charge to me. I believe this was nothing short of a scam on Freedom Toyota’s part in an attempt to get me to pay through the nose for repairs I did not (a.) request or (b.) need. Dishonesty is not appreciated, and should not be acceptable to the consumer. I am not someone who typically writes reviews, and who also tends to give people the benefit of the doubt most of the time, but I could not in good conscience let this one go. I would NEVER go to, or recommend, Freedom Toyota to anyone looking for honest and dependable service for their car. Maybe nice waiting areas are your thing; if so, you’ve found your place at Freedom Toyota. For me, I’ll take honesty and a proven record of service any day of the week. For these issues, I give customer service and overall experience a 1. More
The entire process was simple and we ended up with an excellent car at a reasonable rate. The service was kind and helpful leaving the entire family content with out decision. excellent car at a reasonable rate. Called and spoke to Brian an hour and a half before showing up to look at a used Toyota Venza. I asked for a specific vehicle my wife saw online and asked if it was still in stock. He checked him compu showing up to look at a used Toyota Venza. I asked for a specific vehicle my wife saw online and asked if it was still in stock. He checked him computer and said yes it was still available. My fault for not asking him to get out of his chair and walk the lot. As i'm sure you are already aware of what happens when i get there, "I'm sorry the computer said it was still in stock, but we've already sold the vehicle. So I'm not going to waste anymore of your time unless you are interested in a new Venza." Irritating enough if i only lived a few miles away, but being 45 minutes away kind of pissed me off. Is their customer service good? Don't know, wasn't a customer because the car i went to look at wasn't there. Quality of work? Depends if you call sitting on your butt relying on others/or worse yet, computers to tell you information that you could have very well researched the old fashioned way good quality, then yes. Friendliness? I suppose it was ok, although I'm certain he had his dinner to get back to, as he did seem in a hurry. Overall experience? Wasn't great. Do they have good pricing? Assumed they did, but couldn't look at the vehicle to justify the price. Would I recommend this dealership? I selected "No" only because there wasn't a "Depends" option. If you happen to call in to Freedom Toyota Scion in Harrisburg, asking about a vehicle you've seen online, ask them to hang up and call you back in five minutes after walking their lot. It's the (I won't say "least", now I know better) smartest thing they could do, especially in the age we live in with online reviews and whatnot. More
I drove an hour to get to this dealer. I was not even greeted upon entering the showroom. When I ask a salesman for the keys to check out the vehicle I drove there for, he got them but told me to wait fo greeted upon entering the showroom. When I ask a salesman for the keys to check out the vehicle I drove there for, he got them but told me to wait for my question, while he talked to another salesman. Then I had a specific bank I already had my loan which was Santander (not a pre-approval, actual loan), they tried to lie to me about the bank, with false information, then they tried to lie and get me to do another credit application ( I assume so they could submit my information to other banks ) after I specifically said I don't want my information submitted again, they told me they had to do it to submit to my bank ( the one I already had the loan for ). Then there was a acquisition fee from my bank, of which they tried to say I was suppose to pay ( its a dealer fee from the bank ) in addition to the cost of the car. So thanks again Mr. Domingo I will never recommend your dealer to anyone. I took my $15000 and I am looking elsewhere. I would avoid this dealership quicker than the bubonic plaque. Let me also add, with this horrific customer service... I was the ONLY customer inside the huge building with employees all standing around and still experienced that!! More

I was able to negotiate a great deal. They beat the competitor b with very little effort on my part. Salesman was extremely pleasant. The sales manager made an effort to meet us. There was no pressu competitor b with very little effort on my part. Salesman was extremely pleasant. The sales manager made an effort to meet us. There was no pressure to buy and I was afforded time to make a decision. I recommend these two gentlemen to anyone wanting to purchase a Toyota. It was nice to finally enjoy working with a dealership during the sale process. More

We are having problems with a 2011 Toyota not even 8000 miles. Car is jerking check engine light major issue for new car they would not give us paper work mechanic called us a liar after he was confronted miles. Car is jerking check engine light major issue for new car they would not give us paper work mechanic called us a liar after he was confronted by his boss. They would not give loaner car. They say free cleaning when after service they lie. Even the sales manager don't help you. I would never recommend this place even to my enemy. Problem still not fixed on car they reset the computer. Has to be tripping codes for a reason. I failed to mention that they sold me a used jeep 2 yrs prior. There service did me wrong that time with a transmission and warranty issue. Why I went back to them they said they would make it right got me in a 2011. Well now more stress and headaches with a bigger payment. It is worst dealership I ever dealt with. They do not cover the warranty issues. They reset computer in car well it comes on for a reason. The sales manager is a liar. They do not live up to a dealership. I would go to any dealership then that one. Even Bobby Rahal was willing to help us out. I would not take a car from this dealership if they gave me one free and clear. The stress is to much to handle. More
