I bought a 2013 Kia Optima in July of 2024. By September, the brakes stopped working almost completely. Although I bought the vehicle at the Herb Chambers Infiniti dealership, the Toyota of aub By September, the brakes stopped working almost completely. Although I bought the vehicle at the Herb Chambers Infiniti dealership, the Toyota of auburn was much closer to my home. I set an appointment there concerned to drive further without full use of my brakes. I was told verbally and in writing via my service report that a technician installed a portion of the brakes incorrectly. This incorrect instalation is what caused my brakes to fail and was done by technicians at Infiniti before I bought the car. I was then told that I must pay for the repair regardless of fault and would not be given my keys back until I did. Brakes would also not be covered under the extended service contract I purchased for $2000 when I bought the car. So, I was forced to pay several hundred dollars to make my brakes functional again after less than 3 months of ownership. In March, the exhaust became loud when driving. I made an appointment and brought it back to the same Toyota dealership. This time, however, I was told technicians there did not know how to do any diagnosis or repair on a Kia. So, I made an appointment at the Kia dealership in Burlington. After a few days, I received a call stating my catalytic converter would need to be replaced for a total of around $2700, and none of this would be covered by my extended service contract. I took the car home and fixed it myself. The catalytic converter had a corroded gasket that needed to be replaced, nothing else. Following the 13 dollar gasket replacement, the car has run perfectly. I spoke to the service manager and he explained that regardless of if the catalytic converter was damaged or not they wouldn't replace just one gasket because the technicians may break the converter accidentally or be unsure if the repair is sound. This would mean they would be responsible for paying for a new one to be installed, which wouldn't make bussiness sense. Overall, I've had a terrible experience at every turn. I would HIGHLY recommend avoiding any Herb Chambers dealership as my experience with all three has been undeniably negative. More

Went in for an oil change plus the recommended 30k maintenance, and on the way back home while driving on the highway noticed some loose plastic pieces on the dashboard. They turned out to be the glov maintenance, and on the way back home while driving on the highway noticed some loose plastic pieces on the dashboard. They turned out to be the glove box stopper screws that were probably left there by the mechanic after installing the air filter. Not happy to have learned that, apparently, they don’t check their work. More

Frustrating service experience; responded to a recall only to find out the part was not available and I will need to go back. George offered to explain all the new features of the KIA 4 and was very polite. He patiently went through paperwork and credit requirements for the purchase of the vehicle.
