I am very disappointed with the service and how I was treated at Herb Chamber's Infiniti in Westborough, MA. I purchased a brand new 2009 G37x coupe in February 2010. When I went to pick the car up fro treated at Herb Chamber's Infiniti in Westborough, MA. I purchased a brand new 2009 G37x coupe in February 2010. When I went to pick the car up from the dealership it took them several hours to bring the car out of their garage. Delivery shouldn't take that long. It was getting dark outside when the car finally came out. Initially the car looked great. After about a week or so I noticed an odd scratch/imperfection on the driver's side door. It is the same size and shape as the square sponges that are supposed to protect the car. It appeared someone at Herb Chambers took the sponge off using a razor blade or straight edge and damaged the paint. I took the car to an Infiniti dealership closer to me, Devan Infiniti in Fairfield, CT. Several people, including Kevin J. Hyland, the general manager looked at the car and said that they were certain that the area had been previously touched up. The touch up job was done quite poorly. This means Herb Chambers sold me a car in which they knew had been damaged and did not fix it correctly. I tried to discuss the situation with my salesperson, Henry Rodriquez but he refused to answer my calls or respond to emails. More
I chose to go through Herb Chambers / Anthony because my father had recently purchased an Infiniti at the same location with Anthony and was very satisfied with the process. Previous to going to Anthony, the other sales people I dealt with did not seem to be 100% honest and straight-shooting. Anthony is a positive, energetic, and proactive professional. I told him what I wanted and he presented it to me without any B.S. and I left feeling great about my purchase. My experience at Infiniti of Westborough was great. They have a brand new showroom and something they like to call the bubble to display your new vehicle on delivery day. When I received my vehicle he spent the time to go over the entire vehicle and explain all of the major features. You can tell he does his homework. Anthony becomes your friend as soon as you step foot into the dealership. Calm, cool, patient, and ready to answer any degree of question whether it being a 'rookie' kind of or tough question. I have purchased many vehicles over the years and have seen all the tricks or tactics. I was pleasantly surprised by the professional demeanor and no pressure sales approach. I usually dress down when buying a car because it tells you a lot about how people size the customer up. It also allows me to peruse the showroom without a ton of distractions - again, because of all the previous experiences. In this case I enjoyed the fact that I was not judged by my appearance, was given room to look and when needed, had my questions answered promptly. There wasn't a great deal of "time-wasting" pressure tactics. I ended up purchasing an FX-35 - loaded and felt I received a very good price and the experience was enjoyable. Unfortunately, my experience with a competitor (Wagner Audi) was not so nice, but I'll post another review for that. Great job Herb Chambers. BTW: I purchased a G35x from Herb Chambers several years ago (Boston) and had a similar experience, which is why I came back. It does matter! More
I recommend Anthony, he was a good sales consultant. He was not pushy, and seemed to know instintively what I wanted. He has amazing patience and was a wonderful instructor to me. I left Herb Chambers Infiniti dealership of Westborough, MA extremely confident about everything I needed to know about my new car --- Anthony Carlino did that! Let me tell you a little about myself. I am a recent widow (and grandmother). I had never bought a car. My husband always bought cars for me, the last being a 2008 G35x Infiniti. You hear all these horror stories about car dealers -- Anthony is the total opposite of that concept; he is friendly, trustworthy and professional. He made me feel completely comfortable with my new car. Herb Chambers Infiniti and Anthony went out of their way. They delivered the car to me in CT. My insurance co. caused a problem (it was really the DMV of CT that were unreasonable) and Anthony had to return to CT to switch cars with me to make sure I was safe. A few days later, he delivered my car to me again. Is that service above and beyond or what !!?? I was so pleased with Anthony that I told him I would see him the next time I bought a car. My wife and I were in the early stages of looking for a car and I just happened to send an email requesting a quote for a new Infiniti FX35. Matthew Lewis responded they had a car with everything we were car and I just happened to send an email requesting a quote for a new Infiniti FX35. He gave me a quote over the phone which was an incredible price based on the research I had done. My wife and I went down that afternoon. We were met by Anthony Carlino who would be our sales consultant throughout the process. I as a lot of people do have preconceived notions of what a car salesman will be but Anthony Carlino could not have further from that stereotype. There was no high pressure sales tactics, he couldn't have more friendly. He walked us throughout the entire dealership giving us the grand tour which was a nice touch. I felt all of our questions were answered by someone who really took pride in what he did and it showed. We never really intended on walking out with a new car but the way we were treated by Anthony went a long way to sealing the deal and the two of us drove home in our new car.
