What Dear Herb, It is a real pleasure to let you know about our recent experience at your Danvers Chevrolet, Buick, Pontiac, and Hummer dealership. What made the experience different than all other car-buying eposides was that our sales person, Kevin Fitzpatrick, was easily the best sales person we have ever worked with! Not only was he knowledgeable of the inventory, but more importantly he was very personable and was extremely considerate of our needs. When I first came into the dealership on Saturday morning, Kevin showed me what was available for used 4-door trucks and took me for a test drive of a 2007 Cheverolet Avalanche. At the time it was more than I had wanted to spend and when I decided to leave there was no pressure to stay, haggle or even attempt to get me into a truck I didn't want. When on-line later that day I saw the same vehicle I had test drove advertised for a lower price and called Kevin to verify the price. He promptly got back to me saying that the dealership would honor the lower price. Later that day my wife and I came back to see the truck again and talk about our trade. It had been snowing most of the day and by the time we got there it was piling up and the guys had started to clear the parking lot. In fact, soon after we arrived we were the only patrons left in the delearship, but you would have never known it as Kevin, Sal and Corey were so friendly and patient with us. They never once indicated that they wanted us to leave due to the storm (unlike my wife!) and when all was said and done, we did buy the Avalanche and made some new friends along the way. When we came back Monday night to sign the paperwork Kevin, Sal and Corey made us feel welcome again by sitting down with us and answering all the questions we had. Kevin (finance) was pleasant to work with too. The whole experience really was a nice change from the typical pressure-cooker approach you find at other dealerships. Thanks! More

I wanted to take the time to explain what a wonderful customer experience I have had dealing with your staff. Specifically Brian Dumont & Jason Bradley. I have been affiliated in the auto industry since I was 5 years old and my father still to this day services many of your dealerships. My parents now in there elder years were in desperate need of a new vehicle. Being a concerned son I wanted to make sure they got a vehicle that would meet there needs financially and to get them the best deal possible. Jason & Brian have gone above and beyond in making sure that's happened. The customer experience I and my parents have had is beyond any I have received from any dealership. I am happy to say they will be driving later today in there new Pontiac G6. Jason even made the offer to call your Honda dealership to make sure I get the best deal because my Honda lease is coming to a close and I am actually looking into purchasing/leasing a new vehicle now for myself. This is usually unheard of these days as most dealers are more interested in driving the profits up for there specific branch. I truly hope this can happen because I would like to give the additional business to you at this point based off this experience. You should know Brian ended up staying an hour after his shift should have ended to accommodate me and when I was leaving I noticed Jason was still working away after the posted hours of operation on the door had expired. These are the types of great professionals you have working for you and would again recommend any of my client's to visit them if in need of a vehicle. I'm writing this review to let people know just how great the service department is at Herb Chambers.We have been dealing with this dealership since we bought our first car in 2003,and have bought a van (200 the service department is at Herb Chambers.We have been dealing with this dealership since we bought our first car in 2003,and have bought a van (2005), and 2 trucks(2008) from them over the past years. what we love about the service department, is the time they take to explain things to you, and how they treat you like your a V.I.P. they are honest and go out of there way to get things done in a timely matter. My service person is Scott Lyon, he has been our service person since 2003,a great person and does a great job,and if he's not in, there are many other service people that work there, that go out of there way to make you feel important and take the time to explain what they are doing. we only have our vehicles serviced at herb chambers and we wouldnt even think of going some place else. It takes years to find a trusted service department to work on your vehicle, We only wish we would have found this service department a long long time ago, way before 2003, because my other cars probably would have lasted me longer, and not cost me the shirt off my back to service them.I would recommend this service department for the great job they do on the vehicles, the time they take to make sure you understand what's going on with your vehicle, the great people that work there,and the V.I.P. service they give. thanks........The Maillets More

Over the past few years i can only think of a handful of times i have contacted a company for good service. The few times I have done that I have felt that the service was so above and beyond what I expected that it warranted a my time to write. This weekend has been one of those times. My husband and I owned an H2, although it was a great truck that we loved dearly, it's time had come to be sold. Normally we like to sell privately as we always feel we make out better. However time has been very short lately so we decided to try to trade it in. You had exactly the car we wanted, a Buick Enclave, slightly used. Your dealership is not at all convenient to where we live, but having met Sal's wife and spoken to him on the phone we felt that the drive was worth it. As soon as we walked in we were greeted. We asked for Sal who was available to introduce us to Kevin. I almost feel I "owe him one" for the introduction. Kevin is one of the most personable people I have ever met. He was happy to take us out for a test drive and was insistent we take the car for as long as a drive as we needed to feel comfortable in it. He was able to answer every question we posed about the car and give us insight to some of the features that were new to us. After the drive Kevin started the process of valuing my H2. The offer that he and Sal presented felt very fair. Possibly a few thousand less than what I could have sold it for privately, but we knew that going in. He gave us the price for the Enclave. Within minutes we had bought another car. We buy more cars than the average person. Our fleet currently includes 6 vehicles that are used for both pleasure and work. This was the first time that we left the dealership feeling very confidant in our purchase. Yesterday we went back to pick up our purchase and go through the financing process. Today we were introduced to Jason. I hate the whole process of talking about money and numbers and percents. Jason was a pleasure. He explained everything in such a way that made the process almost enjoyable. When not talking about the loan or when waiting for the insurance company he was actually fun. Owning our own business and working in marketing over the years we know that a company can be sunk by the employees that are sent out to represent you and your values to the customer. Sal, Kevin and Jason are three people you should be proud to have on your team. They do what so many others can not. They are able to assess not only the needs of their customers but also their personality and give them a level of professionalism that makes each individual person feel almost happy to part with $40,000. We thank you for the opportunity to have met such a wonderful team. We not only love our car but feel very content with WHO we bought it from. I am 71 years old. I have bought new and used cars from many dealers and salesmen. My experience with Herb Chambers was outstanding. My salesman, Kevin Fitzpatrick was calm, pleasant, helpful, courteous many dealers and salesmen. My experience with Herb Chambers was outstanding. My salesman, Kevin Fitzpatrick was calm, pleasant, helpful, courteous and knowledgeable. He took time with me, found out what I wanted, explained every detail, took me out on several demonstration rides, and helped me equip the car I selected with every option I wanted. After I ordered a beautiful new Camaro, Jason Bradley and Eduart Lela followed up the sale with expert advice on other important aspects of my new purchase. I had never been to a Herb Chambers Dealership before, but the day I ordered my new car, I also had my old 1998 Buick LeSabre seviced by the service department. I had a mechanical problem that a different dealership could not resolve after three different attempts. The problem with my Buick was a serious safety problem. Within hours, a gentlemen named Jack in service resolved my problem completely. The safety issue was corrected and has not occured again. I now have my beautiful Camaro( I love it), and when necessary I will return to Herb Chambers in Danvers for sevice for both of my cars. More
Kevin was great. He dealt with in a friendly and sincere way, nothing I had experienced before. I am providing this review because we just had the most enjoyable and professional new car purchase experience in the 35 plus years that we have been purchasing automobiles. We visited the dealership fo enjoyable and professional new car purchase experience in the 35 plus years that we have been purchasing automobiles. We visited the dealership for the first time on Sunday 11/15/09 and were treated very courteously and professionally. After expressing interest in and test driving a 2009 Enclave we were given a terrific price to purchase the car. We elected to sleep on the decision overnight and get back to Corey the next morning. From past experience that would have signaled a visit from the sales manager with a price reduction and the question of what can we do to get you to buy the car now. Instead we got a visit from the sales manager asking how we were treated, if all of our questions had been answered, the sales managers card and the request that we call him or Corey if we had any questions. We called Corey Monday morning to tell him that we wanted the car and that we wanted to pick it up on Saturday 11/21 and we proceeded to handle everything else over the phone. We arrived at the dealership to pick up the car and finish the paperwork a drive our new car home.
