Bought here even though I work for a different dealership. Even though I work for a different dealership I had to come to Herb Chambers to lease my new Silverado and get a deal that worked for me. Terrible They lied from the begging about everything. Be careful ! They talked me into getting the Extended service warranty which included scratches and small dents when I went back for oil change They said I did not have that option. An oil change took over 2 hours they said it was normal, they were short handed and do I want a job. I did not want to hear that. Even in the beginning the salesman was new and didn't know what he was doing .I had to request somebody else. Then they messed up My registration. Very unprofessional place. Be careful there to be ripped off. VERY UNHAPPY!!!!!!! More
Not Recommended! I made an appointment for a week later and was told to leave my keys in the drop box, because I work early, and he would take care of it.. I called at 11:30am after leaving my keys in the drop box at 7:15am and NO ONE even new my truck was there including my service consultant. My keys were found in the drop box and when I called back at 2:30pm to check on my truck it hadn't even been looked at so I asked to speak to the Service Director who then told me he would look into it and call me back in 20 minutes, needless to say he never called me back and over an hour later I was at the dealership trying to figure out what was going on. I then spent another 30 minutes waiting for the Service Director. My truck needed over $1000 worth of work and after Matt told me I could bring it back another day I was then advised by a different Service Consultant that it should not be driven. The Service Director then put me in a rental because I could not wait any longer to get home. The following morning, 9/14/16, I faxed a copy of my warranty at 7:30am. I called at 10:30 to see if they received my fax and the fax came in but because it comes to a different department they had not physically received it. Matt called me back and said everything was covered so I gave them the ok to do the repairs, I was then informed that he called the warranty company and they said that I would have to pay the dealership and then get reimbursed from the warranty company. I called at 2:30to check on the truck and only then was I advised that he had to order the parts and my truck wouldn't be ready till Friday. Well needless to say I never heard back from him so the following week 9/20/16 I called Matt and he let me know that he JUST got the parts and it would be a couple more days. Matt called me on 9/21/16 to let me know my truck was all set to go so I go and pay over $1400 for the repairs, GREAT....WRONG! I drove home from Danvers to Methuen and as soon as I pulled into my complex I could smell something burning and as soon as I parked in my driveway the Transmission lines ( which they repaired) let go and my transmission emptied all over my driveway! I called Matt immediately and was left on hold for 11 minutes! Matt advised me to have it towed at MY expense. I asked him for a local tow company because I was not paying for this. I then had to scramble to get another rental before Enterprise closed. So not only was my driveway a mess but my truck was covered in transmission fluid. The next morning Matt called to let me know that it was their fault and that it had been fixed. I was thankful that they covered the tow charge and the rental fee until I called the warranty to begin the reimbursement process. They wanted to know WHY I paid in advance and that they were just waiting for Herb Chambers to send them the invoice so they could pay it. I then found out that I was charged more than the warranty company authorized!! I feel as though they thought they could do this and get away with it because I am a woman. I was lied to, I was told they didn't have a shuttle or courtesy vehicles, and I believed them till I drove home from work behind a truck that said "Herb Chambers Chevy Courtesy Vehicle". I will say that the General Sales Manager was more than willing to help reimburse the over charge. I was going to buy a new truck from there but I think I will go elsewhere. More

Best ever! I had a 2011 Chevy 1500 LT Crew Cab, needed a truck with more towing ability. Just invested much $$ in nice rims, replacing front chrome bumper to bla I had a 2011 Chevy 1500 LT Crew Cab, needed a truck with more towing ability. Just invested much $$ in nice rims, replacing front chrome bumper to black, painted truck bed removing stickers. Was educated by others needed a 2500. Went on Tue met Jonathan sales rep and Bobbie in Finance. Left that night with my used 2015 2500HD LTZ 4000 mi truck. This was a big truck (I am 5"). After driving it for 2 days I realized it was not what I wanted. Low gas miles for how often I am towing my horse and little to bouncy for me...lol. I called Jonathan very nervously Fri morning asking to return the truck for something else (with used you have a 1 time return if within 5 days). He was so sweet, I told him I definitely needed a truck though. Bobbie (Finance) had worked with me when I bought my 2011 truck and had an idea of what I might like after seeing changes made on that truck. I arrived at 430pm and they both gave me a hug and assured me it was fine, it was a big truck. He showed me a Midnight edition 2016 LTZ Silverado 1500 with a stronger transmission to allow a towing ability of 9100lbs. I fell in love with this truck...he was correct. I have been dealing with this dealership since 2013 for maintenance of original truck. All departments have treated me fantastic! My bf had the worst experience at dealership he was working with...and has since transferred to Chevy of Danvers. Thank you Herb Chambers team of Danvers for always giving me such wonderful service for over 3 yrs! More

Professional Service I bought my Avalanche a few years ago at a large dealership on the south shore. It was the third new vehicle I had purchased from them but never used the service department. After having a problem that I would only have fixed through Chevrolet, I called that dealership. I was not satisfied with my treatment or their solutions. I decided to try the local dealership and met John Tammaro. He explained to me what they could do, gave me an estimate and when they took my truck he put me in a new vehicle until my truck was ready. John called me with updates and I got my Avalanche back to me in the time frame he said he would and the best part was that final cost was the same as the estimate. The next vehicle I purchase will be from Herb Chambers! More
