I have a 2002 EuroVan with 163000 miles on it. I absolutely love my van and want to keep it going as long as possible. I went into the Harper dealership looking for a new or used Volkswagen Jetta. Mark was extremely helpful from the moment I arrived and all the way through the process of finding a car. He was very informative and personable and made the car buying process as stress free as possible. After I had filled out an application for a loan to purchase my car the process took slightly longer than I had anticipated but the employees did a good job of making the wait seem like a non issue. I did not consider it much of a hassle but for the wait they told me to come back whenever I had low fuel and they would fill up my tank for free. Not a big deal but I considered it a nice gesture. My family currently owns 4 VW's which were all purchased at Harper's. I have always had great treatment by all of the employees. Certain employees stand out in my mind as I have dealt personally with each o at Harper's. I have always had great treatment by all of the employees. Andy Maxey in the service department is wonderful, he always takes the time to explain what repairs/services are needed and more importantly he reassures me when no extensive service is necessary. I feel in this way they help me to contain my cost and certainly encourage my loyalty to their dealership. Another employee who has always been extremely kind and helpful is Mike Clem. He explains things in a way that is easily understood. When I recently bought my 2012 Jetta I dealt with Bill Blair and once again I had a great experience. He was very kind and made certain that I knew the basics of my car when I purchased it. Another kind employee that perhaps not many know is Jerry in the mechanics/service department. His knowledge and easy explanations about my engine have gone a long way to help me fully appreciate Harper's choice of employees. One experience I must share occurred when I purchased my initial car at Harper's many years ago. I had purchased a used Passat (which was an awesome car). The salesman, who I believe is currently a salesman at Harper's Audi, was very polite and helpful in explaining the car to me. I was trading in an Expedition. The other dealerships I visited were very rude about my trade-in (Ford dealerships) to the point I decided I would never buy another Ford, (although I don't dislike Fords). Not too long after the purchase of my Passat my daughter was having trouble with her 10+ year old Jetta which was not purchased at Harper's however did receive service there. I explained to my salesman that I would probably need to find another used car for my daughter. He quickly agreed to assist me in my search. The problem with her car was with the heater core which was going to cost more to have replaced than I had paid for the car. I explained that I wanted to buy a nicer car for her but that finances were a little tight at the time. He later called to tell me that her car had had a recall on the heater core several years before and that it might be covered for a replacement. He let me know when he was certain about the replacement. The car was fixed for free. That salesman did not realize it at the time, but he cultivated a long time customer at that time. I have since purchased 7 VW's from Harper's and will continue to do so in the future. All in all I have had nothing but positive experiences at Harper's thanks to Andy, Mike, Bill, Jerry and many others I hope to have many more VW's down the road. Thanks! More
