I have been dealing with Harper Acura for three years now and so far have received nothing but A plus service. These guys are the BEST!!! NO one else is allowed to touch my car. As usual, the service dept at Grayson was A-1. I had 3 different issues w/ my 2008 MDX, and they diagnosed & fixed all 3. Some were easy (battery cable clamp was worn out after 12 yrs), and another was ob different issues w/ my 2008 MDX, and they diagnosed & fixed all 3. Some were easy (battery cable clamp was worn out after 12 yrs), and another was obscure (rattle when transmission lugged at low engine speed, which they correctly diagnosed as worn-out tie-rod ends and worn-out anti-sway bar). This is the 2nd time they’ve found simple solutions to problems with obscure symptoms. I love these guys! More
While living most of my adult life in Chicago, I had grown accustomed to just expect my car to have the same problem, a new problem, or a new ding or scratch every time I pick it up from having service grown accustomed to just expect my car to have the same problem, a new problem, or a new ding or scratch every time I pick it up from having service done at an Acura dealer. I really had to weigh how badly my car needed service against whatever damage would be done in the process. I was also used to having many separate Acura dealers to choose from if/when one disappointed me. I was nervous after moving to Knoxville and discovering that there is only one Acura dealer within a hundred miles or so! That fear was quickly extinguished after my first visit to Harper Acura’s Service Center. When I picked up my TLX, it was shinier than I had ever seen it and drove amazingly smooth and straight. It basically looked and felt like it did when it was brand new. My historical experience with having tricky “vibrations” and potential suspension issues diagnosed and repaired at Acura dealers in Democrat-controlled Chicago was equally frustrating. They never once found the cause of an issue I wanted addressed. One dealer finally “discovered” something I had complained about for years... about fourteen months *after* I gave up on having it fixed. I even had to sell my 2016 ILX about twelve months into a sixty month note after spending thousands of dollars trying to resolve a rather serious issue that Chicago Acura techs always claimed they could never reproduce. Again, my related experiences at Harper Acura were completely different—a total 180° from what I had grown to expect. Jeff Oliver, the Shop Foreman at Harper Acura, has driven my car several times. Some were test drives with me at drop-off so I could demonstrate the issue I was having, and then again at pickup to ensure I was satisfied with the result. Jeff has always found my key issues and has quickly resolved them. My usual Service Consultant, Steve Matz, always takes the time to give me his complete attention while I’m there, ask relevant questions, and ensure that I don’t have any questions of my own that go unanswered. They employ every available technology to stay in touch while they have my car: phone, SMS, email—which really helps me find the time to communicate with them during my hectically busy and unpredictable work days. Harper’s loaner vehicles are also quite nice. They always appear clean, have low mileage, and often include a bottle of water during the hot summer months! I’ve mostly received MDX & RDX loaners... occasionally an A-Spec version. I even crashed and totaled a brand new MDX loaner on one cold January evening, just around closing time and about thirty miles from the dealership on Kingston Pike. They really went above and beyond to ensure that I was taken care of and got home safely. The Service Manager, Richard, personally drove to the accident site to help THP get all the information they needed for their reports and drove me back to Harper Acura where my car was ready and waiting for me! I spoke to their collision center manager and my insurance company only once and never had to even think about it again! I am very thankful for that. I’m sure that I could keep going, but I won’t. I’ll just say that if I have to be stuck with only one choice of Acura dealer and service center, I’m very happy that it’s Harper Acura in Knoxville! More
I bought my RDX a year ago. I have only been to the service department two times since the purchase, both times , I have never been more pleased with the attention and service I have received! Just purchased a used 2016 Acura MDX on Dec. 16. The left front trim on driver's side was loose and the 2nd remote control was not working. New parts were ordered and a loaner was provided to minimize the am front trim on driver's side was loose and the 2nd remote control was not working. I'm from Nashville. 2nd time I leased at Harper. This time a little confusing getting the paperwork done. For some reason, I was dealing with 2 salesmen. 1 kept pushing off what needed to be done, on th time a little confusing getting the paperwork done. For some reason, I was dealing with 2 salesmen. 1 kept pushing off what needed to be done, on the other. Around and around we went. Finally got to the financial man who was part-time. He wasn't sure of some answers. All in all, I got the car but it took more than 2 hours and I needed to drive back home before dark.. Didn't happen. More
First time to take our Acura MDX for a diagnostic test. We were immediately attended to as soon as we drove the car up to the service area. They worked on the car, took care of the problem and when we picked it up, the car was meticulously cleaned inside out. It felt like we were driving a brand new car out the dealership.
