I bought my 2002 Chevy 2500 new from Hardy Chevrolet in Gainesville and was so impressed with them that I knew where I wanted go when I was ready to upgrade. Very friendly and knowledgeable. Not pushy at all and no hovering just to make a sale. Thanks so much! More
My 70 year old and perfectly capable mother went alone to this dealership to get a simple oil change based on an advertised sale price she found online. The very next day, I was driving the car and the check this dealership to get a simple oil change based on an advertised sale price she found online. The very next day, I was driving the car and the check engine light came on. I went to AutoZone to find out what code was showing for this alert, and found out that it was an alert for the air filter sensor. When she returned her vehicle to the same dealership, the air filter sensor had magically been broken and needed to be replaced. They charged her a diagnostic fee even after she agreed to have the work done there, which I've never heard of in my life. Anytime I have gone to a dealership, I've never had to pay the diagnostic fee because it has been waived when I agree to have the work done at that dealership. Not only did they charge her the diagnostic fee, she was told that she would not have to pay for the part, and then ended up being charged for the part after all. After her experience, she called me to tell me what happened and when I called the dealership to confirm exactly what had happened, I spoke with the person who handled her car, and he called me "hun" then proceeded to incorrectly describe what happens when you remove the air filter. Since he had called me "hun", I guess he thought I would not have a clue what he was talking about. I didn't bother correcting him or telling him that, as an auto damage adjuster for 12 years, I could tell if he was lying to me. I'm all for paying a bill when you owe it, but when you are told you will get certain discounts and then those discounts are not provided, that speaks poorly to the customer service provided, and if you don't intend on charging what you say you are going to charge, you should just keep your mouth shut. I will never send my vehicle to this dealership for service again. While I'm sure they are wonderful at selling cars, they clearly only have loyalty to those who have purchased a vehicle at their lot, so I guess you're in good hands if you have bought your car from them and need it serviced. If not, definitely go somewhere else... unless you like being called "hun" by total strangers. And when an employee sees my mother paying and says, "Oh wow, a customer!" I guess that should have tipped her off to grab her keys and run for the hills. More
My experience with Hardy Chevrolet was absolutely amazing. First I bought a used nissan van from Mitch Jones in the used car department and felt right at home. Even my wife Loved him. Unfortunately r amazing. First I bought a used nissan van from Mitch Jones in the used car department and felt right at home. Even my wife Loved him. Unfortunately recently on the night before Thanksgiving, my van stopped running about 4 miles from my house. After conversations with Mitch, that answered my call..THE NIGHT BEFORE THANKSGIVING..while he was at home with his family, my van, after the holiday got towed at Hardy's expense to their dealership and was immediately fixed which turned out to be a bad crank shaft sensor. And because I was really low on gas, they put gas back in my van. Today the 6th of December, I picked up my van. I could have picked it up before today but was unable to get a ride to the dealership. If you are looking for a great experience, and want an honest salesperson, ask for Mitch Jones. Thanks for reading and have a BLESSED DAY! More

I had the worst service and it seemed they only have a bunch of old men sitting around drinking coffee. The prices are way high and they have used vehicles sitting on the lot for a year. I found several issues with a few I test drove as well as one broke down. It seems they need some management and accountability there. I’ve been to the Dallas location as well and I can’t believe they both carry the Hardy name. Someone needs to get control of Gainesville location before it gets run deeper in the ground. More
Great work, overpriced Took my car in for a one hour flat rate job, Tech spent 1 hour 43 minutes on the lift and 13 minutes on the test drive, charged me four hours labor. A Took my car in for a one hour flat rate job, Tech spent 1 hour 43 minutes on the lift and 13 minutes on the test drive, charged me four hours labor. At $205/hr my Lamborghini dealer would be insanely happy. The quality of work was superb but they saw me coming. This was the makeup job for all of those poor GM warranty payouts they dealt with last week I guess. I’ll surely go back if no other viable options exist. Spectacular work quality!! More

The Best Car Guys Out There Gents (and ladies), this is the place to go if you're looking to get into a new or certified pre-owned car. I got a 2012 Camaro a few weeks ago and am loving it. Before going to Hardy I'd been to a couple other dealerships--and they were awful. At one, the guy goes, "I know you like the car, buddy. You don't need to testdrive. Let's finish the paperwork while we've still got time." I'm thinking, "Dude, this is $24,000 were talkimg about." At Hardy it's the opposite. Long testdrive on backroads, down home atmosphere, super friendly guys. Basically just talked about fishing and signed some papers. But being serious, they were really helpful in explaining the various warranty options they offer. I took the extended one, so even though my car is technically used, it's covered on pretty much everything until kingdom come. Really great place, really great guys. I drove an hour to see them, and it was worth it. They even gave me a grand for my old beater, which I added on to my downpayment. They'll help you too if you have bad credit. Mine was okay, but they can help you pretty much no matter what. All told: If you're on the fence about a car, go for it! The's guys'll help you out. More

He was very helpful and and found the truck I was looking for as well as give me up front pricing (without the games that so many dealers I contacted had tried to play). I'd recommend them to anyone looking for a Chevy and will definitely buy from them again! More

He was extremely friendly and not too pushy. He gave my husband and I ample enough time to decide on the car we wanted. He didn't give false promises like other salesmen have before. Also, when we were in the finance office, Mark, the finance officer was polite and friendly as well. Overall, it was a Great experience and will definitely go back when I'm ready to do more business and buy cars for my children. :) More
