EXTENDED WARRANTY AND PRE-PAID MAINTENANCE SALESPERSON, DEAN KIM, WAS KNOWLEDGEABLE, FRIENDLY AND COURTEOUS. THE FINANCE DEPARTMENT PUT AN EXTENDED WARRANTY AND PRE-PAID MAINTENANCE INTO THE SALESPERSON, DEAN KIM, WAS KNOWLEDGEABLE, FRIENDLY AND COURTEOUS. THE FINANCE DEPARTMENT PUT AN EXTENDED WARRANTY AND PRE-PAID MAINTENANCE INTO THE CONTRACT WITHOUT MY KNOWLEDGE. I WAS NOT ASKED IF I WANTED AN EXTENDED WARRANTY AND PRE-PAID MAINTENANCE. IT WAS WRITTEN INTO THE DEAL WITHOUT MY KNOWLEDGE. I DID NOT KNOW THOSE (2) ITEMS WERE IN THE DEAL UNTIL THE SALES CONTRACT WAS GONE OVER WITH ME BY JOEL OF THE FINANCE DEPARTMENT. I SAID WITH HYUNDAI'S EXCELLENT WARRANTY, I DO NOT NEED AN EXTENDED WARRANTY. I WAS TOLD BY JOEL THAT THE LENDER INSISTED IT BE PART OF THE DEAL. THE NEXT DAY. I SPOKE WITH THE LENDER AND WAS ADVISED THAT THEY DID NOT REQUIRE AN EXTENDED WARRANTY. WHEN THE DEAL WAS APPROVED, I WAS TOLD THE INTEREST RATE WOULD BE 3.49%. THE DEAL I SIGNED HAD A 4.99% INTEREST RATE AND A 96 MONTH TERM TO ACCOMMODATE THE ADDED ITEMS WHICH CAME TO OVER $5000. I WENT TO THE DEALERSHIP AND DEMANDED THOSE ITEMS BE TAKEN OUT AND A LOWER PERCENTAGE RATE. THE TERM WAS REDUCED TO 84 MONTHS AND THE INTEREST RATE ON THE NEW DEAL WAS 3.79%. I WAS ANGRY BECAUSE I FELT THEY SHOULD HAVE ASKED IF I WANTED AN EXTENDED WARRANTY AND PRE-PAID MAINTENANCE BEFORE PUTTING IT INTO THE SALES CONTRACT. I WAS ALSO QUITE UPSET THAT I WAS LIED TO BY BEING TOLD THAT THE EXTENDED WARRANTY WAS REQUIRED BY THE LENDER. More
