This is in response to (bb658su) Brittany Berky’s Dealer rater reviews. Brittany Berky purchased a vehicle from us. Upon receiving her vehicle registration on 4/20 she immediately went to Branford to get a BRANFORD BEACH PASS. She discovered that she could not immediately get a BRANFORD BEACH PASS with the specific way that her registration read on the vehicle that she just purchased from us. She then came back to Hammonasset Ford and was very loudly yelling at 2 members of the dealerships staff about how she could not get her BRANFORD BEACH PASS with her registration. She was escorted into an office off of the showroom floor where the motor vehicle laws and the banking regulations were explained to her in a very calm manner. Still not satisfied with this answer, Brittany had her father call Dana Fordyce the General Manager of Hammonasset Ford, Inc. Dana and Dr. Berky had a very calm adult conversation. Dr. Berky was a complete gentleman throughout the conversation. Dana explained to him why the registration had to read the way that it was. He understood. Still not satisfied, Brittany picked up the phone and started screaming at Dana about motor vehicle laws, and the such. Dana tried repeatedly to calmly explain to Brittany the same thing that Dana had just explained to Brittany’s father. Brittany would not stop yelling, interrupting and trying to quote MVD rules and regulations. Dana told Brittany that at that point she would not continue with the conversation and if Brittany would like she could stop by the dealership to discuss the issue AGAIN. Dana did then hang up the phone. Hammonasset Ford registered the vehicle the only way that it legally and in cooperation with banking regulations could have been registered. Witnessing how upset Brittany is from the lack of a BRANFORD BEACH PASS we at Hammonasset Ford hope that there is some other way for this young lady to get her beach pass. Maybe a utility bill or something else that shows she is a resident of Branford will help.

The dealerships response to my review exemplifies the reason that I am still astonished by their lack of professionalism. The Department of Motor Vehicles reviewed ALL of the paperwork from Hammonasset Ford and agreed that there was no reason the car could not have been registered properly in the first place; aka in the town that I live and park the vehicle in every single day. As a matter of fact, as of two weeks ago, I changed the registration to the proper tax town on my own! It's quite humorous that you previously stated it would have been illegal to register it otherwise. As far as full names being posted in the response, I would suggest that they be taken down IMMEDIATELY as it only demonstrates your lack of respect to paying customers.
