If allowed, I will give minus 10 as this is the most horrible purchase experience I have ever had! When the salespeople purposefully cheat you and even put your life on risk, your heart is broken, because they can be sneaky with the purpose of making more money, but if they know well in advance you may die on the highway, they still do it, then they are worse than xxxxxxxx. I'm speechless... I bought a car from them end of last week, and only after driving twice, my car completely collapsed. After going through full inspection, I need to pay at least over 3000 to get it repaired, so that it can still go on the way, not saying it's perfect in condition. So far the salesperson, Dana Ventura tried to avoid my call whenever possible. I feel so sorry for him, as I dont know how many customers he has cheated like me, where is his conscience. Can he sleep well at nights? Even worse, they promised to change the windsheild for my car before purchase, hence this is part of the deal. However, the windshield has only installed glass, but missing the left mold. The rain and water can penetrate into the car. If all cars have molding around windshield, this car, of course, should have! The Sales manager Marguerite Traegler told me "You need a windshield, we give you a windshield, I'm done with you." In analogy, she sold me a piece of clothes, but didnt put on any button and I cannot wear it, and she thinks this job is complete?! This is the performance of the whole sales managers, you can image how other sales will behave. So you believe you can buy a reliable car from them, you are being cheated to the fullest, and risk your life as what I did. More
My car overheated on my way to work. This was the only dealer close enough to get to. This place took far too long to come to a conclusion on what was wrong. Then the repair estimate was high for an older dealer close enough to get to. This place took far too long to come to a conclusion on what was wrong. Then the repair estimate was high for an older car, so I asked if they could give me an estimate if they would buy it. It took the sales department about 8hours to come up with a number. The repairs would cost $1000. They would give me $1000. This number is a fraction of the Blue Book value of my car, even at the poor condition numbers. It was insulting and degrading to know that I couldn't even drive the car away. More
It was a nightmare from day one. I spent 2.5 weeks trying to get myself or my wife and I into a new lease or a 2-3 yo used truck. Her credit score was 677 and mine was slightly lower at 624. After hearing to get myself or my wife and I into a new lease or a 2-3 yo used truck. Her credit score was 677 and mine was slightly lower at 624. After hearing all the xxxxxxxx about special financing and how the banks are the problem, it was clearly evident that the dealership was either not motivated enough to make a sale or their banks did not value their business. I looked at 2 trucks and on a mix of different credit sources in a combo of scenarios (her and I), (just her), (just me), all offers came from Capital One at 16.9% and a jacked up inflated price of the car. But what got me to squeal was the fact that the dealership requested not only 2 work verifications but a home verification. After providing both reluctantly, I was not getting the proper deal I wanted. All I heard was what they couldn't do for me instead of what they COULD do for me. Finally after it was all I could take, I made an appointment with Brunswick Toyota and in a matter of 2.5 hours I drove out with the truck I wanted, at a price I could afford and at a rate that was manageable (9.4). xx Haldeman. Its the second and last time I give them a chance to do business. The final kicker was my financing bank was CAPITAL ONE. And without all the verifications Haldeman asked me for. So much for a hometown dealership. More
I purchased a used Nissan Murano from this dealership, which was listed as being sold with a 30-day dealer warranty. I had found the exact same car listed at another dealer that was much further away with which was listed as being sold with a 30-day dealer warranty. I had found the exact same car listed at another dealer that was much further away with 2,000 fewer miles on it, listed for $1,000 cheaper. Since the other dealer was a far drive, I decided to give Haldeman first shot at the sale. I showed the internet salesman the comparable sale at the other dealer, and told him that if he sold it to me for $1,500 less, I would buy it there. He agreed, but told me he could'nt give me the warranty, and would have to sell it "as is". After much back and forth, I agreed, since he insisted that the car was in perfect condition, as it had been thoroughly inspected by them in order to offer the warranty on it. After a week or two of driving the car, the service engine light went on. I took the car to a Nissan dealership to find out what was wrong, and they told me that a valve has failed and both emissions sensors have failed, and that it would not pass PA inspection without both issues being fixed. The repairs cost around $650. I find it very hard to believe that in the few weeks I have owned the car, these things just happened to go wrong simultaneously. I come to find out that NJ doesn't require an actual inspection any longer, but does require an emisions inspection. I am pretty sure that the car didn't really pass the emissions test, since the emissions sensors are bad, but I think that Haldeman passed it so that it would be able to sell it. I am also pretty sure that the car was either never really inspected for defects by them, or was, and these issues were not disclosed. Needless to say, I will never be back to this dealer, and would absolutely never recommend them. More
I would not recommend Haldeman to anyone and if you plan on waiting for your vehicle be prepared for the “dungeon”. The room does not have WiFi and if would like a coffee be prepared for instant mix with powered creamer. If you prefer water, the water fountain is just great; there are a lot of strange things floating around the drain!!!! As for service, they were going to charge me $250 to replace the rear shocks on my F150. The entire scenario reminds me of all the TV ads you see regarding service scams. About all I can say is ask to see the part prior to letting them perform the work. Be aware they charge $90 per hour plus parts. More
I would not recommend this dealership to my worst enemy. My wife bought her first car here and our current Expedition was also purchased here, with no problems. They have no idea what they are doing. I do not know who needs to be fired, but it seems to me they are on their way down in quality. I purchased a 2008 Ford Edge with little difficulty. Nick the salesman was great! But, as soon as the deal was done it was all down hill. First, it was a Valentine's Day present for my wife. When we came to pick it up, there was a dent in the door, mud all over the wheel wells, and dirt running down the outside. The Sales manager said they were too busy to get it done. But, while I was waiting, they said let's resign the contract. It was prepared incorrectly by the finance person, Jim. Once we closed that chapter, we asked that the panoramic roof be repaired and give us some gurantee beacuse it was a certified pre-owned. At that time the sales manager Mike said, ok no problem. The vehicle was cleaned again, and there was still cat hair inside the vehicle and glove compartment???? The panoramic roof was still sticking. We left it and the sales manager was going to have the dent removed. When we came back 3 days later to take delivery we thought everythng was great. But, 10 days later the finance person, Jim and salesman, Nick, were calling with a request to resign the contract for a third time because they miss-dated it. Then the finance person, Jim, came knocking at my door harassing my wife. Threatening here with the Police pulling her over for miss-dated temp tags that they mitakenly did. At that time, I was still unhappy about it being certified pre-owned and Haldeman not giving my the Ford warranty. They informed me the deal was done and Haldeman pre-owned was not Ford pre-owned. I feel they are falsely advertising Ford's program and I gave the car back. More
I bought a 2011 Fusion SE from them in January and had a great experience. It started when I requested an online quote - Sandy responded to me within a couple of hours with by far the best price of any deal great experience. It started when I requested an online quote - Sandy responded to me within a couple of hours with by far the best price of any dealer who responded. When the car they quoted me on had over 525 miles on the odometer (way too many for a new car), they were kind enough to search for the identical car at another dealership without even asking for a deposit first. They found that car within two days and still honored their original quote. When their other drivers were busy, Sandy even drove up to the swap dealer herself so I could take delivery on time. They also gave me the price I was looking for on my trade-in without any hassle. I can't speak about the other salespeople, but Steve, Sandy and Marge (the sales manager) were all tremendous to me. Two thumbs up! More
I would not recommend this dealer to anyone. By looking at the website, I thought they seemed very credible, and upon arrival, I felt as if they knew what they were doing. Little did I know, they really kn at the website, I thought they seemed very credible, and upon arrival, I felt as if they knew what they were doing. Little did I know, they really knew how to rip a person off. I was trading in a 2008 Mazda6i for a 2004 Mazda Rx-8. I went on Kelly Blue Book before I went and knew the value of each car. It should have been an even trade. Well they pried that the Rx-8 was worth more than the Mazda6, even though the Mazda6 had less mileage and was held a much higher value. They said there were multiple problems with my car I was trading in. I ending up spending an extra $1,100 on the Rx-8. Within a week, my tire had gone flat. Within another two weeks, my engine flooded. Although this happens to many of the Rx-8s, my problem was due to a battery they (Haldeman Ford) put in which was not right for my car. When I called to talk to somebody in charge, they would not put my through to anyone. I looked at their website, I found the Mazda6 priced $3,000 more than what they told me it was worth. My boyfriend then called and finally got through to someone. They refused that they were responsible for anything. They told me I could have my car back for $4,500 on top of the trade that they convinced me was a deal on my end. In the end, they settled to get me a new battery for my Rx-8 after a lot of hassle. But would not negotiate anything further with me. If you want an honest dealership, you probably shouldn't go to Haldeman Ford. THEY ARE CROOKS! More
Don't buy cars from this dealer. I purchased a 2005 explorer for $6400 and found out 42 days after purchase that the front diffetencial was defective... and had been doctored so the vehicle could be so explorer for $6400 and found out 42 days after purchase that the front diffetencial was defective... and had been doctored so the vehicle could be sold. The stabilizer bar was also hanging and not connected. They refused to fix it though its a defect that existed prior to purchase. Come join me this weekend as i picket and protest in front of the dealership. Coffee is on me. The public deserves to know. DON'T BUY FROM THEM. THEY DON'T CARE More
