I just recently leased my very first BMW. Going in, I was quite nervous because this was my first time leasing a car, let alone from one of the best brands in the world. On 5/27/2011 I came into the service department without an appointment with what I considered an emergency. I indicated my wife and daughter heard cat sounds coming from the front of the car. After some laughter and skepticism, Ron had a service tech look into my problem. After 1/2 hour, the verdict on my problem was; 2 kittens found, one in the belly pan and one in the wheel well. My 2007 335i is the second car I bought from Habberstad. I've had all service on my cars done at Habberstadt. I've been treated more than fairly by the service department. Their work is exceptional and no other dealer I've ever used on any other non BMW car comes up the their standards for work and customer treatment. More

Just picked up a 2008 CPO X5 from BMW of Bay Shore. I looked at cars from South Hampton to Bayside in 1 day.I could write a review on most every dealer on Long Island at this point. Most dealers were nice but unfortunately either the car or the salesperson was right. I am a discriminative buyer and knew buying pre-owned was going to be a challenge.Most cars I looked out came w/ promises that it would be fixed or "may come out". I wasn't up to the challenge I guess. I arrived out Bay Shore after seeing a car Habberstad had listed online. Found out from Lorraine that I could see the car in either of the 2 locations. I chose Sunrise in Bayshore because it was closest to me. Of all the dealers I seen in the day the showroom was the nicest.I guess because it is the newest. It was like a perfectly scaled down version of Rallye.Inside was inviting and everybody was accommodating. I first met with John the manager. He spent he few minutes walking me around the dealer. I almost felt like I bought a car already and was on the "owners" tour. I then sat for a few minutes while they made us coffee and pulled the car into the service area. He invited me to look over the car under the proper lighting while he got an adviser to answer questions when I was ready. Greg was very polite. He actually drove the car the first few minutes allowing me time to actually play with some features I was scared to touch when driving. He only talked when he pointed out a feature or characteristic of the truck he wanted me to feel when I drove.Mid way we turned around and he had me drive back and was able to appreciate a lot of what I was told and read about the car.I was definitely sold. They pulled back up to the dealer and had me drive into the indoor service driveway. The area again was very clean and everyone was attentive and well mannered. Having a hospitality background I really enjoyed the customer focus their more then anything. When we sat to discuss price it was straight forward and easy. Greg was confident in the product and his services which adds value to any product.He never cared that I lived in Freeport and had a dealer in my neighborhood. I then "sprung" my trade in. They did not seemed concerned it would effect the pricing I had already got. The value was inline with better of the appraisals I got. I wasn't fully concerned either because my neighbor was going to most likely buy my car . After spending a small amount of time finalizing paperwork. I went home to fax a copy of my title. Two minutes into my ride home I realized the familiar tire light I have had on my car for the last month was now off. Funny a few dealers had noted it when they appraised it. When I picked up my new car I had asked Greg how they did it because it was not a BMW. I had had the pressure checked out the gas station and was told it was fire and to ignore the dummy light.Turns out it was the spare tire in the trunk that was low. They topped it off as a courtesy. Overall they earned my business 1. because their customer focus was by far the best. 2. the cars they presented or had for viewing all looked like they were ready to drive home.it was nice to see the final product before I paid.3. Habberstad BMW of Bayshore delivered 100% what they promised. Good to see. Better was i found out about this site from another dealer I did not buy from but was asked to give an A rating in return for the price. More
