I was sold not one, but two bad cars at this dealership. Both Ford Escapes. The first one was a 2018 Ford Escape. Took it home and within a day realized the transmission was blown. The car was jumping all Both Ford Escapes. The first one was a 2018 Ford Escape. Took it home and within a day realized the transmission was blown. The car was jumping all over the place and it was terrifying to drive. Took it back and they assured me my replacement car, a 2015 Ford Escape Titanium would be a better option and a safe car. Within two days, the check engine light came on. They had only reset the check engine light. Turns out, they sold me another bad car with Catalytic converter issues. Of course they will try to say “We try our best to sell good quality cars” but the reality is, they know what issues the cars have. They do not care about your safety or well being, they just want your money. When I called them to complain, the “sales manager” Warren insulted me by asking “what kind of fuel did you use? What gas station did you go to?” As if I don’t know how to operate a car and haven’t been doing so for years! He was rude, cold and got an attitude with me for knowing what I was talking about. He also gave me a song and dance about not being able to give me back my original trade in car, that they had already sent it out to auction. 5 days after my trade in, before the bank even approved my payment schedule? Very doubtful. They just wanted me to be stuck with the car. At no point did they offer me a warranty to cover any of these issues without my car payment jumping dramatically. They said that I can have the car checked out and fixed at their location but out of pocket and with no loaner car. Why should I have to pay for their intentional bad salesmanship and lack of regard to safety? Absolutely disgusted by the way this dealership tried to run game on me. I’m keeping the second car simply because I never want to go back to them. Luckily, I have a good mechanic who is honest and helping me fix the issue. I’m beyond angry with this place. I’ve reported them to a few places. Please do not buy from this location….they intentionally sell unsafe cars to people. They plead with you to write good reviews, but how can you with subpar service and lack of concern for the safety of individuals? Ladies, please be warned they will try to take advantage of you simply because you are female and they think we don’t know anything about cars. Super sexist behavior and definitely needs to be reported. More

STOP! DON’T SHOP!! BUYER BEWARE! Hgregg.com is a nightmare! Add $1700.00 on to any price you see! Do not purchase online cars with Hgreg.com! Refer to TrustPilot.com for numerous Hgreg.com 1-star r nightmare! Add $1700.00 on to any price you see! Do not purchase online cars with Hgreg.com! Refer to TrustPilot.com for numerous Hgreg.com 1-star reviews! Outrageously high hidden dealer fees, cars sold with major hidden defects, untrained salespeople, long phone waits, no call backs or follow up and horrible service – and that’s just before they take your money. I have purchased over a dozen cars: 9 in-state and 3 out-of-state and this is by far the worst purchasing experience I have ever had in my life. Hgreg.com is a Canadian car retailer, HGregoire, that needs to stay in Canada. PROBLEM 1: Hgreg.com’s Horrible customer service: I found a Nissan Rogue on Hgreg.com at what I thought was a good price ($21,988). I was purchasing online from xx. Louis, MO. I wanted to make sure there was no smoke smell in the car first. The car was at the Hgreg West Palm Beach dealership so on Monday, 4/5/21, I called directly to the dealer. The first salesman answered and before I could speak, he said, “It looks like your area code phone number is from out of town” and before I could speak he transferred me to out-of-town Hgreg.com sales department – no answer- placed automatically on hold for 20 mins without answer so I hung up. Called West Palm dealer again and another sales rep answered and actually listened to what I had to say that I would pay list price, cash for the car, if he could just check for interior smoke smell. Said he would call back - never happened. PROBLEM 2: Hgreg.com overcharges on every car w/ huge hidden fees: Four hours later that day, I called Hgreg.com and pressed #2 for out-of-state sales and export” and again - auto on hold from both my cell and desk phone after which both calls were disconnected at the same time without answer. (I should have quit there). I called back a few mins later and actually get an answer this time from an out-of-state sales specialist, Franco. He apologized and said there is not enough people at work today to answer the phones. I said I would purchase the car at the advertised price and Franco informs me that there is also an additional $1400.00 in Hgreg.com dealer prep fees “Pre-delivery $999.00 & Electronic filing fee $399.00” – these bogus fees from any dealership are usually no more than $200. Franco said that, “Every Hgreg car we sell must have that $1399.00 additional fees no matter what”. So, whatever price you see advertised on Hgreg.com, automatically add an additional $1400 to get the true price of the car! Add on an additional $1700 on to every Hgreg.com car purchase if you like a second key fab (standard with all other dealers) because Hgreg.com keeps the second key fab for themselves and they put that in writing in your contract Key fabs go for over $300 from any dealership. The first purchase agreement I received from Hgreg.com was totaled over $26K because they included 10.629% ($2600) Florida sales tax and $75 temporary Fl license tag. I had to argue with the Hgreg.com rep Franco that I should not be charged for either fee since I am purchasing out-of-state and I will have to pay sales tax at the DMV in Missouri not in Florida. I also mention that on the FL DMV website temporary tags cost only $5 so what does Hgreg.com need the other $65 for? – we know the answer. Franco then said, “let me see if I can ok with this with my manager”. He returned my call a few hours later and said he would remove the sales tax & Florida tag charges. – This is the out-of-state sales department – right? Shouldn’t they know this with every car purchase? I am confident that if I had not questioned these overcharges Hgreg.com would gladly taken even more of my money over the “advertised price”. PROBLEM 3: Hgreg.com does nothing to help you during or after the sale: So, after I price agree on Hgreg.com’s over-charges, I get no other sales help. I ask Franco if he could or have someone at the dealership please check to see if the car had a smoke smell inside. Franco replied, “No we can’t do that. I am miles away from the car in an office. I you would like an independent car inspection call “My Used Car Buddy” inspector for $169.” Really? Apparently having no other choice, I did call and did pay for an inspection the next day. Then I asked if Hgreg.com can please ship the car to me and Franco said, “No. We can’t do that here. You have to contact an independent car transporter yourself. You can try contacting Les’ Shipping”. The bottom line is that this is NOT CarMax or Carvana. If you purchase a car from Hgreg.com, good luck - you are on your own. Each of these conversations takes multiple texts, emails, and phone calls by me not returned by the Hgreg.com or the Les’s Shipping rep to attempt to get answers and resolutions. The hassles continue… PROBLEM 4: Transaction and paperwork incompetence and more delays: Once price agree Franco said, “You’ll get the paperwork from my manager tonight or tomorrow”. Tomorrow (4/6/21) comes and no paperwork. Repeated calls and texts to reach Franco only to hear a different answer, “we will FedEx 2-day all the papers to you later this week”. I asked Franco why can’t we just email or fax all documents and signatures and finish this in one day since this is a legally binding document? He replied, “We don’t do it like that.” Is this the Hgreg.com way of streamlining the car buying process? I cannot pay by personal check like other dealers that simply hold the title until my check clears. I am told I must wire the money or best to go get a casher’s check. – No instructions included on who to make payable or any other detail about the check. Franco says, “Just text me a picture of the check before you send it”. My wife goes to the only open bank lobby in the area and purchases the Bank of America cashier’s check. I take a picture and fax it to Franco. As usual, no response so I take it to FedEx to mail. Four hours later, Franco texts back, “Don’t send check – name on it should only have your name not your wife’s name”. I rush back to FedEx to pickup the package and take off work the next day to go back to the bank to get my name on the check. I asked Franco, “why don’t you simply put the instructions of exactly how you want the cashier’s check filled out rather than me submitting pictures to you until you like it?” Franco says, “That’s a good idea. I will think about doing that in the future”. I FedEx the paperwork back with a signature required and receive a FedEx verification that the paperwork has been delivered at Hgreg.com (now 10 days after I signed the purchase agreement 4/5/21). After multiple texts and calls by me I finally get through to Franco and told him the paperwork is there can we schedule the pick of the car. Franco says, “Only one problem, my manager says the paperwork is not here yet”. I told him FedEx has a received signature and that the paperwork is there and to find it. An hour later he contacts me and says, “OK, we found it”. Dozens of texts, emails, and phone calls over 10 days to get a transaction completed that could have taken hours. Hassles, excuses, apologies, and more hassles! PROBLEM 5: The Car Transporter doesn’t pick up the car: Les’s shipping said they would pick up the car in 24 hours but after they took my money quoting me $875 and then charging me $900, Les’s Car Shipping never picks up the car for over a week! During that week Les’s shipping said due to their delay they are now in snowbird car shipping season and the new price is $1200 – I said, NO! During this next incredibly frustrating time period in attempting to purchase an Hgregg.com online car, no one at Hgreg.com would lift a finger to assist me. I asked Franco if he could recommend another shipper (turns out Les was a broker not the actual shipper) and he said, “No way. My first recommendation didn’t work so I sure do want to recommend a second car shipper to you”. Pinch me – am I in a third world country or just Hgreg.com’s idea of customer service? 19 days after the purchase of this car – it finally arrives in xx. Louis. It is filthy dirty – just like My Buddy inspection photos showed - so for $1400 of dealer prep fees they could not even run the car through their automatic car wash before shipping the car. It’s yet one more example of Hgreg.com’s complete disregard for their customer. And why do all Hgreg.com cars only come with one key fob? Another Hgreg.com scam – money grab. PROBLEM 6: No Title with the car: Nope, 19 days later we are still not finished with this reimagined Hgreg.com car purchase. The cashier’s check cleared instantly 10 days earlier, but no title mailed to me or sent with car. More multiple calls and texts. “Hey Franco, where is the title to my car?” He replies, “It will take 3 more weeks for your hard tag to arrive. Since pandemic, all Florida DMVs have been back up”. What? I told Franco that Hgreg.com has had in their possession on premise the title since they purchased the car four months earlier in January. – As usual, no reply back. I call Hgreg.com and select title department – as expected auto on hold for 25 mins, a rep answers the phone and says that sometimes there can be title delays between Florida and xx. Louis DMV’s. – What? I educated her that she must have the title. Two days later and 23 days later from the signed purchase agreement, I finally received my title and completed the most agonizing car purchase of my life. There may be a different purchasing experience locally in person vs. the online experience I suffered with Hgreg.com. However, I will never ever do business again with Hgreg.com on-line or in-person. In stark comparison, while waiting forever for this Hgreg.com car, I purchased another car from Napletonofflease.com (see my Google review) in Chicago, IL – price agreed in 30 mins over the phone with one call and a spotlessly clean car in my driveway 48 hours later – now that’s service! PROBLEM 7: Defective Car with Expensive Hidden Defects with Hgreg.com cars: The inspector “My Used Car Buddy” recommended by Hgreg.com must have accidently missed some key defects and even a hole cut into the bottom of the front bumper where spliced and taped up wires were stuffed into the front bumper. But you only have 48 hours to discover these defects upon receipt of your Hgreg.com car or the car is yours to keep. My Rogue was in a “minor accident” on CarFax – not true. The entire front end of the Rogue was rebuilt and not attached properly but was epoxied back to the frame. When I took the Rogue to my xx. Louis Nissan dealer and they plugged into the car computer, they found 25 error messages. The wiring harness had been spiced up and retaped together instead of replaced with all new wiring harness - which voided all manufacture warranties and any future extended warranties for any electrical problem that will occur under the hood – which is just about everything. The Nisson certified mechanic said the Hgreg.com car looked like it went through a chop shop for accident repair. Cost to repair to reactivate warrantee will be over $7000.00! As Franco said to me multiple times “at Hgreg we buy as is and we sell as is” and they are not kidding they buy junk without inspection or certification and they sell junk to you without guarantee. BUYER BEWARE! Hgreg.com’s complete disregard for their customer is not an issue of one or two staff people. This is a systemic institutional problem that starts with the parent company, Hgregoire, in Canada and shows its corporate arrogance and disrespect for the customer at every level of this organization. If there is even an owner’s response to this review (it won’t really be an owner but some kid working from home paid to write polite responses) that says something like, “we care about our customer and regret we did not meet your expectations, please contact us”. My response to the Hgreg.com Owner’s Response: “Blow that smoke up somebody else’s tail pipe”. More

All good until you sign and then they go back on their word. Won’t buy from there again but good selection of vehicles. Customer service wasn’t great at all, again after you sign it’s almost like you’re n word. Won’t buy from there again but good selection of vehicles. Customer service wasn’t great at all, again after you sign it’s almost like you’re nonexistent. Very disappointed and realized the smiles and helpfulness were all an act. If you need any service done, forget about scheduling it on your time because you have to wait for them to call you and THEN you schedule. Also, the manager on duty looked at me standing there waiting to talk to him and resumed working on his computer. I stood there for another 7-8 minutes before asking the receptionist if there was another manager I could speak with. Who leaves a customer standing there while you continue working on the computer??? My issue hasn’t been resolved and I’m waiting for a callback, it’ll be interesting to see how long the wait will be for them to take care of the concern More
