Again we had a very good experience here. Scott Dubinsky was the first person I contacted to buy one of the new Jetta's for my daughter. Having bought a GTI at this location a few years back f Scott Dubinsky was the first person I contacted to buy one of the new Jetta's for my daughter. Having bought a GTI at this location a few years back for my other daughter and a Volvo for my wife a couple years ago I already knew I was going to have a decent experience. Scott was very helpful, straightforward and honest. Later in the day I was urged by someone I know to call Gunther in Delray. To please the person who urged me to call I did so and I was given a better price for the lease. I asked for a written estimate but was refused by the woman calling herself a manager for fear I would shop that price back to Coconut Creek. My instincts told me to stay with Coconut Creek but the woman I spoke with insisted I come by and purchase the car. Because she was a friend of a friend I agreed to give it a shot but kept my appointment with Scott open for later in the morning. As it turned out my instincts were correct. The woman at the Delray dealership lied. After telling me the down payment would be the first month plus a nominal cost for tag transfer, (about 400 dollars), the Delray dealership tried to hit me with a $1600 dollar down payment bill. They lied blatantly and I left and went to Coconut Creek. What was even more disturbing is that after I bought the car at Coconut Creek I continued to get taunting emails from the salesman appointed to me at Delray Beach. He explained that i paid for more for the car at Coconut Creek and that "Mr. Gunther was very happy to have made more money on me". Apparently math is not taught at this facility as my savings exceeded with all things considered well over $1,000 dollars over four years. All that said I highly recommend Gunther Volkswagon in Coconut Creek and urge folks to steer clear of Delray Beach. I think over all Gunther is a good organization I just think a couple of his salespeople at Delray Beach decided to go rogue for whatever reason this weekend. Perhaps they can use some training in telling the truth and math! Kudos to Scott Dubinsky at Coconut Creek who maintained a professional attitude and patience through the weekend. He conduct should be recognized as without him you folks would have lost us as a Gunther family going forward. Scott, we will see you when my wife's Volvo lease is up. Thanks again. More
