Great customer service My whole experience at Gunther Volvo was wonderful. My service manager David Butterly set an appointment for me and was there when I arrived My car My whole experience at Gunther Volvo was wonderful. My service manager David Butterly set an appointment for me and was there when I arrived My car was wisked away for a "spa" day and 30,000 mile check up. I went over to the new Volvo waiting area and had some great coffee and looked at the new Volvo vehicles while my car was "pampered" by the Volvo mechanics David personally came over to let me know that my vehicle was ready and exactly what was done. Everyone that I encountered that day including Sergio and Julian, was friendly, professional and made the experience of waiting a pleasure. When my car was finished and came around for me to pick up, It was washed and cleaned for me. The whole experience did feel like being at a "spa" because you left feeling pampered with the care and all of the attention that Volvo provides it's owners My previous Volvo which I owned for 10 years was rear ended and totaled by an unlicensed driver. Both me and my 12 year old "puppy" walked away from the accident unharmed. When I went to the impound lot to gather my belongings from my car, I was told by the owner of the lot that if I were driving any other car besides a Volvo that I wouldn't be here. Weekend service pays offf I was dreading bringing in my car for maintenance as it had been a while and I was concerned it would be a large service. However, the week befo I was dreading bringing in my car for maintenance as it had been a while and I was concerned it would be a large service. However, the week before I had planned to bring it in I start to smell a powerful smell of gasoline when I started the car. By Saturday morning, the fumes were so severe it was almost undrivable. I had brought my car in to this dealership shortly after they changed hands for an AC issue. Immediately, with a different advisor, I was told I needed a new compressor. Very expensive, Didn’t leave me with a good feeling, like when you go to change your brake pads & they tell you you need 4 new rotors. Honestly, wasn’t sure I’d go back. But trying some of the local repair people who were not at the dealership left a lot to be desired So as it appeared the car was gonna be shortly on drivable, I figured I would just roll the dice and if it didn’t work out switch car brands to something new. I got David as my advisor - he was extremely busy and I was a walk-in, but he accommodated me after a reasonable wait. Got me into a loaner and I was on my way. Yes, a fair amount of work needed to be done on the car & it was not cheap. Very similar to cost of the compressor. But oh! When I got my car back, it drove beautifully and a lot of the roughness I was experiencing dissapeared after the tire rotation. I love my Volvo & want to keep it a few more years as my kids learn to drive. So, the dealership has regained my trust & business & I am happy again with my car. If I had any complaints, it was that the cost was about 25% too high, but you can’t have everything, right? More
