November of 2024, I had the displeasure of dealing with Gunn Honda. After placing a deposit for a 2003 Toyota tundra, I was sent to get a vehicle buyers check from Randolph since I was told that Gunn did n Gunn Honda. After placing a deposit for a 2003 Toyota tundra, I was sent to get a vehicle buyers check from Randolph since I was told that Gunn did not work directly with Randolph (obviously not true and the first showing of Gunn’s lack of financial knowledge) and returned the same day to complete all applicable paperwork. Days later, once the check had cleared, I was told I STILL could not take my vehicle despite having email and online banking confirmation. After showing them this documentation, they begrudgingly handed over the keys. However, the 48 hour warranty on my vehicle was dated for the day of my deposit and had since expired. When I brought this up to them, requesting for a renewal, I was then told for whatever reason that I can no longer have the keys to my vehicle??? Apparently NOW that I see I’m out of warranty, my check had not been cleared? (VERY fishy) From this moment, my mother (co-signer) and I are both belittled by the entire financial apartment at the front desk for 2 hours, LAUGHING at us, accusing us of being ignorant to the loan/application process OR that we’d somehow have the ability to bounce an already cleared check? On top of this, I was being threatened that my deposit wasn’t a guarantee of purchase and was told how lucky I am they even kept the vehicle for me??? However, my mother (a former employee of RBFCU) knew we were being mistreated and held her ground until we were able to get further documentation confirming that the check had not only cleared that day, but it had been deposited BY GUNN hours beforehand. Following this embarrassing discovery, the financial department demanded I send them a copy of this confirmation and kicked me out without so much as an apology. It’s a sad day when my mother who hadn’t worked at RBFCU in over 10 years has a better understanding of vehicle purchasing than the entire financial department at GUNN automotive… I would NEVER recommend anyone ever deal with these uneducated bullys. Gunn likes to reply with the usual “give us a call”. So please, give me a name, an extension, and a time frame and I WILL call you all to once again educate you on how to do your jobs. (side note: I didn't bother putting the name of these fools to memory so I picked a random name bellow for the purpose of this review. Peppered bearded older gentleman was the leader of these aimless employees (again, whatever his name may be; he's not important enough to be remembered)). More
