Was told it was fuel pump and two days later it was fi We are from out of town (San Antonio) our truck broke down, we had it towed to Gulf Coast Ford. Was told it was fuel pump and two days later it was fixed. Since I am from out of town I had to arrange for it to be picked up. That night I immediately noticed the check engine light was on. My air conditioning was not working and there were straps hanging from underneath my car. The engine cover was also left off. I called to follow up, The service manager explained that they don’t test drive them once they are repaired. Unbelievable. He proceeded to ask me how do I know The AC wasn’t broken when I brought it in. Well to start it is 2 years old, 50K miles and as I mentioned had just traveled over 400 miles in Texas Heat- trust me I would have noticed. I would not travel this Texas heat with my 3 kids and no AC. They were very unprofessional in answering my concerns. They Took no accountability, and haven’t heard of mechanics who don’t test drive their work. For the amount of money spent I am severely disappointed in both the shape of vehicle returned and lack of customer service. I have owned fords for over 20 years, and it seems that they are starting to have more problems and then those who should be available to help resolve this issues take no pride in their work. On vacation with a truck problem The morning I left Little rock for vacation, my F 150 sputtered and clicked as I tried to start it. It did start. I drove to the beach below Freeport. The morning I left Little rock for vacation, my F 150 sputtered and clicked as I tried to start it. It did start. I drove to the beach below Freeport. Monday it did the same, finally starting again. I had passed Gulf Coast Ford the day before and made my way back with a crippled 2015 F 150. Johnathan Powell listened to my story, called for some help from his crew and told them to check the battery. It turned out that that was what the problem was. It was replaced and I was on my way. This could have been made painful and a source of disruption of my vacation but the opposite of that result happened. A responsible man in a position of authority recognized the problem, attacked the problem and achieved an immediate result. He saved my vacation. I spent time on the beach and fishing instead on sitting in a Ford waiting room. He has my thanks and respect. More
