Hello, I made an appointment and took my car to Serra Kia Gardendale. I received a coupon in the mail for service so I made an appointment for and I also told the clerk that my car has been running hot. She Gardendale. She said that she would make a note of the problem and made me an appointment for June 28,2022. Got my car back on Friday and it was still running hot. I spoke with Michael on the 29th. We talked about the problem, reasons why it would run hot and he kept insisting it was the compressor. I informed him that I had that replaced in 2020. Since he insisted. I approved the work. Thinking since he was the professional in this area, I would get a working car. He first talked about body on the car. I let him know that wasn’t my concern. I was concerned about it getting hot all the time. I paid for a service that was not needed and did not address the problem($1,200.10). Picked up the car on July 1, 2022. That same day it ran hot. On 7/07/2022: We dropped the car off because it is still running hot. After they called me to tell me that it was a cracked thermostat housing and wanted $635 to repair. I thought about that & decided that I’m not giving them another penny. They should have found it the first time when they got $1,210.07. They had no record of the information I gave them and Michael claimed that I turned down services😞I only turned down new tire and body work. He had no notes of my concerns and neither did the clerk that made the appointment. Thermostat housing was replaced and the car is still running hot. That was not the problem either. On July 27, 2022, I called Riverchase Kia and talked with Dylan. I was told to bring it the next day. Before I left he stated, “I know my cars, I can smell oil. It needs a valve cover gasket.” He informed me the the diagnosis would be $199 but would go toward service provided.That’s not the problem. Still running hot. Now they have had my car over a week. Kia techs should know their cars. I need my car fixed and a refund for the unnecessary funds I paid which total over $2K. More

I was previously a Kia advocate but Riverchase Kia has completely changed my thoughts. Will never own another Kia!!!! More
As a marketing professor who has studied customer service across thousands of companies throughout my career, I can honestly say that the Riverchase Kia service department is one of the worst I have ever com across thousands of companies throughout my career, I can honestly say that the Riverchase Kia service department is one of the worst I have ever come across. There is a 95% likelihood that whatever they say to you in the service department will NOT happen. We have had AC problems with our K900 and have taken it to them 9 different times over the last two years having spent close to $6,000 so far. The car has been in their service parking lot more days than in our driveway. They will lie to you, and then lie to you again, and then lie to you again. If you call to ask about your car, do not leave a message because it's 100% guaranteed they will not call you back. It's hard for me to fathom what type of leadership it takes to produce the sort of systemic dishonest culture that exists in this service department. More
This dealership screwed us bad with our credit and lied multiple times. Told my boyfriend he didn’t need a down payment if he got a co-signer. I have an 835 credit rating and make a lot of $. Then came back a few hours later and said he needed $10k down. They did 4 hard inquiries on both of our credit and declined him after the initial approval. Now they’re lying to us and all voicemail boxes are full. Horrible customer service and horrible ethics and integrity. Avoid at all costs! More

Very friendly people but definitely did me dirty, 2 things that I dislike is…. #1 I was told that a Kia k5 was ordered just the way I wanted it and I could come back and trade my used car that I had bo things that I dislike is…. #1 I was told that a Kia k5 was ordered just the way I wanted it and I could come back and trade my used car that I had bought for it. 3 months later(around the time I was told) I got a call that it was in. When I got there, the one I was supposed to get was not there and they tried to sell me a lxs when I wanted the wolf grey gt-line. #2 is I had traded my used SUV (which I had equity in) for a used car there to get me by until I got the k5. Once I had went back to the finance room, they had added a bunch of unnecessary fees that made my loan for $23k actually $30k. So here I am, basically didn’t get my trade in value out towards my balance and now I’m stuck with a payoff about way over the value of the car. I guess that’s what happens when you are a young female. More

She has taken the vehicle in multiple times, charged hundreds, been without a car for weeks on end and the air conditioner still is not working. She gets the runaround to what seems to be a warranty issue. The service manager never answers the phone and the voicemail is always full. I would not recommend the service department or Riverchase Kia. Once you purchase a vehicle from them, they refuse to back the vehicle they sell. More

I had to wait 2.5 hours for an oil change and tire rotation. This is unacceptable at any level. If they cannot handle the volume then the service manager should be metering their schedule better. From a customer service point of view, the manager was "unavailable;" typical, let everyone else feel the frustration of the customer due to your decisions. Great place to buy a car but because they cannot transfer that experience to the service department, where customer service really begins, I HIGHLY suggest that you find somewhere else. I was a raving fan of this dealership; however, they have proved me wrong. I WILL NOT go back unless I can leave my car there all day for a factory recall. That is it. Shameful. If I was this owner I would fire that service manger today and find someone that could do the job. More
