Ms. Dutton, We certainly never enjoy having to reach out to a client when lending institutions change the rate at which they are willing to lend money. Unfortunately, it does sometimes occur and is outside of our control. As you know, in order to make up for the ½ point increase in the interest rate from the bank, we reduced the selling price of the vehicle resulting in a lower payment than you originally contracted for. In addition, as a gesture of good will for the inconvenience you experienced, we covered the cost of an extended warranty and agreed to repair some minor items that were not included in our original agreement. We believe we responded to the bank’s small increase in the interest rate – again something outside of our control – in a very customer-focused way, which is always our goal at Greenway Ford.
