I certainly understand your continued frustration with the experience and want to assure you that the incident with Alvaro was unfortunate and actions have been taken to insure it doesn't happen again. In regard to the out of pocket expenses you incurred, I am able to assist you with the money spent on the F150 but, unfortunately, not on the Dodge. I will also offer four complimentary "Works" services (oil change and tire rotations) for your future use. Again, please accept our apologies and feel free to call me with any questions. Greenway offered to supply me with a rental - which broke down the next day and was towed in. Rental agent said I had to wait until next day to get another. Then I was told I could not operate my business with a rental. I asked Mr. Alvero if I could turn the truck in and buy another and he told me no. I asked for a replacement so I could operate my business and was again told no. I was told truck would be ready a a few days so I pulled my old Dodge out of the backyard to continue to work. I was told by Greenway at the time that they had contacted Ford Corporate to get approval for work and were awaiting reply. Two weeks later Ford Corporate told me they had NOT been contacted and I should get back to Greenway. In talking to Greenway employees during this time I was told truck had been in shop three times for same the problem and they reset engine code and returned it to the lot. In week three I was told the delay was caused by Corporate. I called Corporate almost daily and was assigned a representative to push the process through. I was told repeatedly that Greenway was responsible and was resisting having to pay for a new engine. I was also informed by Corporate that the contract and warranty specified checking for sludge and Corporate was holding Greenway responsible for not taking the appropriate action to catch the problem. Four weeks after leaving the F150, with weekly promises of " a few more days" Greenway agreed to shoulder the responsibility of the repair. It was at this time Mr. Alvero told me they would let me borrow a truck. I have asked for reimbursement because: 1 The codes on the engine were pulled and reset three times before I bought the truck, not an honest mistake. 2 I was repeatedly given false information by Greenway as they insisted Corporate was holding them up, and Corporate told me they had no contact concerning my truck until almost three weeks into the delay 3 I made every effort to secure a rental and was told the rental contract would not allow chemicals to be carried 4 I asked for, and was refused, a replacement vehicle - until three and a half weeks into the process, at which time I was already out of pocket almost $1300 for repairs. 5 Throughout this process I repeatedly asked to speak to anyone else at Greenway who had the authority to help and each time I was told only Mr. Alvaro was available. Greenway had the ability to fix the problem in a timely manner and chose not to. The only vehicle available was my old truck. The repairs were necessary to keep it running. Mr. Grady, I am well within my rights to seek reimbursement. Pat Hinman
