Due to a recent experience in the service department, I have found that Green Mazda in Springfield IL to be untrustworthy. I took my 2025 Mazda Cx 5 there to have a tire serviced. I purchased the Premier have found that Green Mazda in Springfield IL to be untrustworthy. I took my 2025 Mazda Cx 5 there to have a tire serviced. I purchased the Premier Ultimate Vehicle Protection plan when I purchased my car from Lou Fouz in April 2025.. The PUVP allows you to use any dealership, Green was able to see us same day and for that I was pleased. The tire had a nail in it. After about 10 minutes of waiting for the tire to be evaluated, they said it would have to be replaced, they had a tire in stock BUT the policy only covers so much in labor (they charge $75 and hour)and is prorated and that it would cost us $79+. We needed the tire and so we said we would pay the $79, all the while questioning the charge as according to the PUVP, it should have been replaced for free. Regardless, another 40 minutes goes by and the patron next to me said “isn’t that your tire”? (We could see it through the glass, sitting up at the service desk.) I replied yes, we are waiting for a new tire. She then tells me they took the tire and brought it back already and it had been sitting there for 20 minutes. I text my husband who was across from me telling him this and asked if we should go inquire. About that time, and conveniently one hour later, they said my car was done. (I’m certain they made us sit there for one hour so that they could charge a full hour of labor, especially since the patron next to me pointed out that it had been done long before they let us know.) I paid the $79(in cash), they gave me a receipt that did not reflect the payment I made, rather an itemized statement of what the tire/labor would have cost brand new. No where did it show that I paid the $79. Later I got in touch with the dealer who sold me the PUVP plan, explained all of this. They informed we that this was ABSOLUTELY wrong, there should have been NO charge through the plan and advised me to never use them again as they are notorious for this. Lou Fouz even went as far as reimbursing me for the charge from Green Mazda. Now that is customer service. When we looked at Mazdas at Green when we were first buying, we weren’t thrilled with the way they presented their sales and so we drove two hours to another dealer to make our purchase. I will hope to never have to return to Green Mazda in Springfield. More

Happy with my need car purchase. Not sure is I would got the dealer route in the future. Seems like a lot more hoops you gotta go through. It also tends to be a little more pricier. The dealership is clean, comfortable, and well-organized. We talked with a number of people in various roles and all were kind and helpful. We talked with a number of people in various roles and all were kind and helpful. More
We took our car into green mazda on dec 5th of 2024. we just got it back today. We took it in for a traction control sensor code. They returned the car to us 3 times saying it was fixed, and every si we just got it back today. We took it in for a traction control sensor code. They returned the car to us 3 times saying it was fixed, and every single time it still had the same code on it. All in all they were paid almost $10k from us and our car warranty, and only at the end did they tell us that the transmission (which was fine when we took it in) was the problem and it would be another $11,000 to fix. So our car has the same problem it had when we took it in, and our car warranty wont cover any more repairs now. When we complained we were asked to leave and told multiple times that it was normal to give the car back with the same code on it THREE TIMES. They returned the car to us with the steering wheel 90 degrees off, and told us that it was that way when we dropped it off, because they hadnt touched the steering. only later did they acknowledge that when they completely disassembled the front of our car to replace the timing chain (which was not what we took it in for and was not a problem, but was a nice pricy $3500 in labor for them that was paid by our warranty) that they DID detach the steering column and didnt check it when they reattached it. Do not go here. they gaslight women (my wife was told multiple times that things that the car was fine, even though it wasnt) and it wasnt until i, "the man" got involved that they listened and diagnosed the actual problem we had taken it in for. Mike, the service manager and Ron, the "paperwork guy" will lie and tell you whatever they think they can get away with, and theyve been doing it long enough to make it sound convincing. Will never do business with them again. More
