GSAC is the WORST dealership I have ever dealt with. Rina is so rude!!! She says that if I return her calls she can help me out. That is xx. All they want is the money. These people start to call you a day a is so rude!!! She says that if I return her calls she can help me out. That is xx. All they want is the money. These people start to call you a day after the payment is due and they start sending you letters in the mail. They start sending out people to your house looking for you. That is what they do to me. My account is not even a month past due and I have calls after calls and they start calling my references and send people to my house to look for me. I am the most a few weeks late on my car payments. I don't call them because they are so RUDE!!! Especially Rina. She is horrible. More
I purchased a new car several months ago and had quite a hassle trying to get a bank to finance it. If I had read these reviews beforehand, I would have told the dealership I was working with to KEEP LOOKI hassle trying to get a bank to finance it. If I had read these reviews beforehand, I would have told the dealership I was working with to KEEP LOOKING! I had no trouble with keeping up with the payments until I lost my job in May. I made the June payment and was hoping to be employed by the time July's was due. It didn't happen. I called GSAC and was connected to Joe, who was not at all friendly when I explained my situation and asked for a deferment. Instead, he was very condescending when I told him that neither I nor my family had the money to make the payment and asked me why I got a new car when I could have purchased a used and proceeded to tell me that he drives a used car himself and made it sound like I'm spoiled, which believe me, I'm not. I WANTED a used car, but they told me that the financing wouldn't work and that new was the way to go. I just finally hung up on him because I know that I am not going to receive any help from them, in fact, they are already threatening repossession! Trust me, if I ever purchase another car, they will NOT be the financer! Very bad customer service! More

my car was impounded in January 2011.I called and spoke to Marilyn about helping me to get the car back.Marilyn asked for the name of the insurance company.a week later she called and asked me to have the to Marilyn about helping me to get the car back.Marilyn asked for the name of the insurance company.a week later she called and asked me to have the insurance send her a picture of the car,i did,and they faxed it.i waited for her to call me and tell me what was going on.every time after this she would not accept my calls.Durning this. wait time i lost my job,my apartment,my husband.I stopped calling her until i heard from her again in early September. i had left a forwarding address at the post office.I assumed the company took the car and auctioned it off and put the balance on my credit report. She made no effort to try and help me get my car back, she was more concerned about the insurance money. When i called her the car note was not due.Four weeks after i called her she closed the account and put it on my credit.I noticed there was not,a sales difference on my credit.she told me they wrote the car off as a loss.she quoted we were not going to pay 4,500 to get a car out of impoundment.the tow company notified her numerous times.we were told after 30 days they would destroy the car.after i didnt hear from Marilyn,i assumed they got the car back and auctioned it off to help pay the bill.the tow company said she made no effort to get the car.rather than help my credit shes still fighting for the insurance check of 2,000.Then she hurt my feelings telling me she didnt want to let my husband bring his girlfriend in posing as me to sign the check with my name on it,she wanted me there in person or she would take me to court.the problem was she chased me down into Tennessee for a 2,000 check, why couldn't she let me know what happened to the car.the car only had bumper damage on the right hand side. She begged the insurance company for the check they said no they were sending it to me.she lied to the insurance company and told them they repossed the car.I am filing a claim with the Better Business Bureau, and the States Attorneys office. In my position I'm homeless,no car no job and had to leave the state.I need the money just as much as she does,I would love to return home and get a piece of car to get my life together. So yes i will fight Marilyn for the 2,000 check, and the lies she has told,on the tow company,my husband, and to the insurance company I am already mad that this supposed to have been 12,000 car cost me 22,000.I have no problem having to pay for this car but Marilyn in Greater Suburban should be disciplined for the lies she has told.A lie can destroy everything, the power of the tongue is awesome, but Marilyn has been very deceitful to herself,me,my husband, the tow company, her dealership, and the insurance company. To Angeleyes07- I don't seem to think anything, I stated my experience with the finance company and the dealership which happens to be a good one. I just find it hard to belive that you have an account with my experience with the finance company and the dealership which happens to be a good one. I just find it hard to belive that you have an account with them and made your payments on time and end up in repo, something just don't add up and that's just my opinion. Not understanding why you would allow a finance company to tack on charges that you don't agree to, and then on top of that PAY the charges. Why pay if you didnt default on your contract? My payment is $359 a month and I pay it monthly and I haven't seen any extra hidden charges or fees, maybe you should have looked over your contract before signing and just paid it monthly instead of paying it by the week, once again that's just my opinion. Dud you hold onto your receipt upon making a payment? I know I have all my receipts for me making my payments. More
In response to Mprewitt, You seem to be thinking that everyone has had a problem due to non-payment of their loan. I'm going to let you know that my loan payment was $388 a month, the initial payment pla everyone has had a problem due to non-payment of their loan. I'm going to let you know that my loan payment was $388 a month, the initial payment plan agreed upon was $100.00 a week. Thats $400.00 a month. They were getting an extra $20 a month from me. They still called me everyday multiple times a day and also called my mother multiple times a day. They ALWAYS claimed my loan was 75 to 85 days overdue, and even when they put it into repo and I paid them the $900.00 they claimed I owed them they called me two days later with the same story, my loan is 75 days past due. They even resorted to calling my sister who lives in Michigan. I never gave them her phone number or address. When I got the detailed report on the payments, the $900.00 I gave them wasn't anywhere on the papers. So basically I gave them $900.00 for someone's shopping spree. So here I am, I let them have the car back because its less stress to be without a car, then to deal with GSAC. More
am reading these reviews and is very shocked! I thought am reading these reviews and is very shocked! I thought my experience with the dealership and the finance company went well. Jennifer is also my acco am reading these reviews and is very shocked! I thought my experience with the dealership and the finance company went well. Jennifer is also my account representative but I have not experienced any of this except for the not so friendly personality over the phone and that could be how she needs to be since part of her job is collections, however I did speak to her in person one time while making a payment and she seemed to be an okay person. I personally think she is doing her job and if I cant make my payments on the due date I will give her a courteous call either a few days before my payment is due or on the due date and let her know the exact date I will make the payment within my grace period to avoid any late charges and I take my payment in on the day I tell her. I believe working in collections is a very stressful job and some people will lie and tell the reps that they will make a payment on a certain date just to get the creditors off their backs and then dont live up to their word and that leaves the finance company no choice but to do a repo or chase that person down for the money that is owed on the loan. I have also learned that avoiding the creditors you owe only makes things worse when all you have to do is make that phone call and let them know what is going on with you and be truthful about your situation and when you will pay them. I pray I never experience any of this and good luck to those who default on their loans because it is not a good feeling to go outside and get ready to get into a vehicle that has been reposed! More

They call me everyday, saying my loan is over three months past due, and then I will talk to them two or three days later and they will say my loan is six months past due. You cannot hold any kind of c months past due, and then I will talk to them two or three days later and they will say my loan is six months past due. You cannot hold any kind of conversation with anyone at that company because all they do is scream at you and call you a liar. They seem to think your trying to get out of paying for the loan. We set up a payment plan and we did it that way for a few months, then they go change it and we set up a different payment plan and again they want to go change it. I tried for days to get a copy of every payment ever made on the loan, and I had to call the dealership where I got the car from in order to get it faxed to me. When I looked over the paper work, everything was everywhere, and none of it made sense. There was a two month period where the car was in repo, and then the next year at the same time there was a six month period where no payment was even recorded, yet it says nothing about a repo. Now here it is, the same time of year, even with the new payment plan being kept, they are threatening repo again. I would have to say this company thrives on drama, and only is happy when they scare a customer into giving up a car even tho all payment plans are being kept. If you can at all avoid using this company for anything...I would highly suggest it. Other wise you will be in constant battle with any person who is handling your loan. More
