I was sold a SUV that I was told before purchasing that the breaks would be fixed, the car would be detailed (which I ended up doing myself) we left the truck overnight and I still had to wait on it to arr the breaks would be fixed, the car would be detailed (which I ended up doing myself) we left the truck overnight and I still had to wait on it to arrive when I went to pick it up.. and I'm POSITIVE the breaks still weren't done. David showed me a paper stating they were done before I purchased it but then I was told they needed done the night I drove it... I was told the tire sensor would be done but David and Chris told me since they fixed the brakes they weren't fixing the sensor and wrote me a check for part of the service it'll cost... not to fix it at his shop but another? Three weeks later 4/23 I went to plate the suv and it's still not in the system... to plate.. getting told it's Chesterton fault and they're waiting on the title??? I'm ready to look into a lawyer and call it a day with CHRIS and DAVID... they sold me what they knew wasn't fixed and then slacked on the paperwork etc..... More
We had been looking for a 2018 Toyota RAV4 limited for a few weeks. We ran across this one on car guru and reached out to the dealership to see if it was still available. The Michigan city location is abou few weeks. We ran across this one on car guru and reached out to the dealership to see if it was still available. The Michigan city location is about 2 1/2 hours from our house. This dealership is owned and affiliated with Graff Chevrolet in Lansing. I called Graff in Lansing to try to get the car brought to the Lansing location. We live in the Jackson area and that would’ve been a 45 minute drive for us instead of the 2 1/2 hours to Michigan city. The Lansing store reached out to the Michigan city store a few times throughout the day with no return call or response. So I contacted the Michigan city store myself around 2pm-3pm to set up a time to come look at the car that evening and to make sure they kept it there until we got there. I did ask about the possibility of having the car sent to the Lansing store and she told they didn’t do trading with that store. We also worked out the selling price through text and I had a cashiers check made before we drove down. Now we drive the 2 1/2 hours to Michigan city to look at the car. On the drive down, we stayed in contact with the sales person we were dealing with to let her know about how far away we were and our estimated time of arrival. When we got there, she wasn’t there. She had left to go to another location. She had given the keys to someone else in the office so that we could take it for a test drive. When she did get back she was working with another customer. My wife and I did not feel as we were greeted well or as a valued customer. We felt as the sale was already done and they really didn’t have to do anything more. We took the car for a test drive and liked it. During the test drive the low pressure tire light came on. I mentioned that when we were sitting down and getting ready to sign paperwork. The person she asked to go put air in the tire seemed less than thrilled to go, do it. I told him not to worry about it that I would take care of it. It was at the end of his day, and I totally understand being ready to go home. We were putting the car on a car hauler to take it home so my wife didn’t have to drive 2 1/2 hours in the dark in an unfamiliar vehicle. Turns out it was not low pressure. One or more of the TPMS sensors are bad. Had I known this I would’ve asked for a little money off or for them to repair those before I receive the car. I know not having the guy put air in the tire was totally my call. This just added to the not so great experience at this dealership. When we asked if the car had certain features, she didn’t have the literature of the car with her and she said she would go print off the window sticker and give it to us for the drive home. The car didn’t even have a full tank of gas. I wouldn’t think that is something I should have to ask to have done. My wife did try to call today to voice our concerns before sending this review and was sent to voicemail and did not receive a call back. To some things up, we just felt like a number. More
Pleasant people. In waiting everyone spoke to us as they went through. The two women at the desk went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable. In waiting everyone spoke to us as they went through. The two women at the desk went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable. More
