As an out of town customer, I had set up a Rental from Gosch Ford Temecula. Initially when I called, I spoke with Terry McDowell, and he got me on the right path to getting the reservation set up. Upon Gosch Ford Temecula. Initially when I called, I spoke with Terry McDowell, and he got me on the right path to getting the reservation set up. Upon arriving with my 2 daughters in tow, (in town from OH), nothing about our reservation was going smooth. Our reserved Vehicle was not available, there was an issue with the CSR, as his Customer Support skills were lacking. Being that I was on vacation, and stuck, I reluctantly had to settle on a much lessor vehicle, and I was going to have to wait for it to arrive. Frustrated, and some what on edge, I went into the main show room to take a load off, and low and behold, my daughters and I were approached by a smiling face looking to see if he could be of any service. After introducing himself, I told him that he had actually helped me a few weeks back, and he remembered me immediately. I explained everything that I was going though and he was not happy at all. Terry was getting more upset than I was as I continued to explain, and almost out of a movie, a young lady walked in waving keys to a Suburban, (exactly what I was supposed to have reserved), looking to find out where she needed to go to turn it in. Terry expertly handled the situation, and was able to assure the young lady that he would get it all taken care of, and then we headed out the the rental area. Terry made sue to let the gentleman know, that my original reservation needed to be honored, and at the original rate that was quoted, and requested that cleaning the Suburban become his highest priority. I never felt more seen, and vindicated. I was able to show my daughter that both, keeping calm in the face of poor customer service was necessary, as we can't help how someone reacts to us, but if we engage negatively then we are just as wrong. Further, when the opportunity to correct the situation arises, then we know we did the right thing. I ended up feeling somewhat defeated initially, but left there with my head held high thanks to Terry McDowell's professionalism, quick jump into action, and knowledge of how his company works. I will never forget that day, and beginning of out 12 day vacation in CA. Thank you for all you do Terry! If you find yourself at Gosch Ford Temecula, and you have the privilege to work with Terry McDowell, you will not be disappointed. Thank you from my family to yours! More

Joseph was friendly, respectful, courteous, and responsive. Typical upselling but that too is his job. Unfortunately, the original issue did not get fully resolved the 1st time only to be quoted an responsive. Typical upselling but that too is his job. Stated there was no “overlap”. Not true which now raises trust and confidence concerns. Escalated myself and paid for parts only. Thank you Rachel. Repair should have been resolved during the first pass while transmission was drained, pan off, etc. I do appreciate that things like that can happen however, when it does the cost burden should not fall to customer. Certainly don’t try to xx the customer into paying for the oversight. I’m sure this “no overlap” story often goes undetected but remember that your reputation is at risk with every attempt. We customers just want fair and honest treatment and are happy to pay for it. More
