Car was in for a door lock repair, 9th time for the whole car, 3rd time for this door. Warranty was 4 months over and was charged full price. Recently, to renew my registration, I took my 2020 F250 to a small, local independent auto repair shop that participated in the State vehicle inspection program. After some time connected to their emiss to a small, local independent auto repair shop that participated in the State vehicle inspection program. After some time connected to their emissions testing equipment, the attendant came out and said the data port on my F250 was "unresponsive". He said I needed to take it to a dealer to have it repaired. He also said he heard 2020 Ford vehicles occasionally had this issue. As it was just about time for a Works oil change, I made a service appointment with Tim at Boucher in Thiensville. He was somewhat skeptical as he had not heard about that issue on 2020 F250s. When I arrived, Tim immediately went out to my truck with a data port tester. He returned and said the truck's data was flowing fine--as expected. Apparently the local repair shop's equipment was either faulty, or suffering from operator error. When I returned later that day to pick up my truck, Tim had a "passed" state emissions test certificate waiting for me with my service invoice. Tim went way beyond what was expected. However, that seems to sum up the majority of my experiences with Tim and Angie. This also is a reminder of why you should only trust your family's vehicle's service needs with the professionals at Boucher, Thiensville. They have the experience as well as the up-to-date equipment to properly diagnose vehicle issues and fix them right the first time. I would not trust my family's vehicles to anyone else.
