Wish I've read more before we purchased from this dealer. Let's start from the beginning. First Flaw: We purchased our '19 Countryman on 8/17/19, everything was normal for a car purchase experience, seeking the best option, test drive, negotiate the deal, financing, paperwork, shake hands, etc. Right before we left the building, which we've been waiting for them to take our down payment, they never did. We informed the general manager, his reaction? "......really? He (the financial guy) didn't charge you?" Second flaw: We didn't get our second key fob on the day of purchase because they told us the other manager "accidentally" took the key with him and went home for the day. We went back the very next day to get our vehicle for detailed cleaning. Nope, they could not locate the key fob and the cargo cover that was missing from the vehicle as well. Our sales, John Beck, and the GM, Asif, both promised that they will locate the missing items and deliver to us personally because they don't want it to get missing during the shipping process. Yet, as of today, 10/22/19, we still don't have those two items. Third flaw: As a famous MINI service (should have been normal with all other brand and dealers), we were promised to have a "detailed" walkthrough about the vehicle we purchased because we are the Mini Newby. Nope, never received that on the day of purchase, nor the next day when we went back for detailed cleaning. Fourth flaw: The new vehicle temporary license plate expires on 10/1/19. Remember that we purchased the car on 8/17/19. We called the DMV on 10/1/19 asking why we haven't received our license plate. We were told that they couldn't find us in their system, only in the queue, because we owed the dealer lots of paperwork. We called Global Imports right away, talked to our financial guy, Nic, only to find out they didn't even send the paperwork (signed and done) in to get the license plate process going. We asked him to advise the reason, he couldn't answer the question and only told us repeatedly that "It's all good, I'm taking care of this right now". This should be taken care of on the day of purchase, not the day that the temporary license plate expires. And yet, we have not received our license plate as of today, 10/22/2019. Fifth flaw: The people we tried to contact, our sales, John Beck, and the manager, Asif, never return our calls, messages, and emails. For all the issues we've had from all above, we've tried to contact them many many times, and we've NEVER NEVER NEVER received any response. More
Incompetent service department Buyer Beware. After buying a Mini Cooper from this dealer and spending thousands on repairs there, I wasn't aware that Global Imports Mini has an "F" Buyer Beware. After buying a Mini Cooper from this dealer and spending thousands on repairs there, I wasn't aware that Global Imports Mini has an "F" rating with the Better Business Bureau. I wish I had known that. I bought my Mini Cooper brand new from Global Imports Mini several years ago. Starting at about 60,000 miles, I started experiencing major engine issues, despite having the car regularly serviced. I paid $3,000 for repair services last summer on my Mini Cooper, most of it to engine work. Then in November, I took my car to Global Imports for an oil change before a trip, but was told that I was not due for an oil change yet. The service mgr. told me they would do a complementary 24 point inspection (which should include checking the oil level) and told me to only come in when the change oil light came on. On December 10, my check engine light came on, so on (four months after engine repairs.) I took my car to Global Imports the next day to check out the problem. The service manager said the engine problem was caused by the oil being low, and that low oil jammed the solenoid valve which he recommended be replaced, along with an oil change. He said I would soon need a new oil pan seal, another $1,100 service. He estimated the day's charges would be about $500 and that would fix the engine problem for now. I told him to go ahead with the repair. Thirty minutes later, the service mgr. called & said the car was ready. I paid $449.66 and started the car but before I left the parking lot, the Check Engine light came back on. I turned the car around and returned to service. About 2 hrs later, the service mgr. said the "low oil" warped the timing belt, which would be an additional $3k to repair. I reminded him that the $449.66 I just paid was supposed to fix the problem, so he said he would ask his manager about refunding at least part of the $449.66 I paid to fix problem. The next day, he called & said his manager will not return any portion of the $449.66. I wrote a letter to the dealership's general manager about what happened, but received no response. I contacted the national office & they responded, but, they were not able to resolve the issue with this dealer. After months of dealing with the complaint, the case worker called and said the Global Imports manager told them he tried to contact me several times and left voice mails. I told her this is not true--no one contacted me and my correct phone number was on all correspondence. She said the service mgr. was waiting for my call and gave me his direct number. I immediately called him, left a voice mail and he never returned my call. That was several weeks ago. I decided to check the Better Business Bureau on Global Imports Mini and discovered their rating is "F" the lowest rating. The reason for the rating? They do not respond to complaints. My exact problem. If you buy a car or have it serviced at Global Imports Mini, and you have any sort of problem, they will not respond to your complaint. More
Sales Review - Sold vehicle Fri, that I was to pick up Sat. This review is NOT about service. It is about the 'used card department' Been looking for a used 6 speed manual Honda Accord for months. Seen man This review is NOT about service. It is about the 'used card department' Been looking for a used 6 speed manual Honda Accord for months. Seen many, but most were trashed. Left work and came to this dealership just before closing on Thursday night, saw an immaculate vehicle I like. Grey/Black '07 Honda Accord Coupe, 6-speed manual. With my initial contact salesman gone for the day. Told them I'd come back Friday after work to close the deal. Received email Friday morning showing that the 'manager' was offering to hold the car until Saturday morning. Sent a signed buyers back to them late Friday night, with the intent of picking it up Saturday. I had (insurance set up, certified check in hand, final inspection set) Saturday morning. Got there Saturday morning to be told by the same manager that he had approved the deal to sell the car to someone else Friday evening before. closing. Now remember, I was offered the extension to complete the deal on Saturday morning, I initially told them in the email that I was coming in Friday night. A logical person, would perceive the extension offered was never legit, because had I gotten there Friday as intended. Another salesperson was still being authorized to sell the vehicle to someone else. Logical, right? The manager tried to imply that he 'thought' I was not a serious buyer. Yet, within a minute later, said to me, 'both salespersons told him I was a serious buyer'. The new term for such things is 'Trumpism'. Tell them anything that comes to your mind (the naive will believe), but when that doesn't work admit the truth, but take no responsibility for it. I've complained to Sonic Automotive, the corporate office, of this dealership. Why, because this should not happen to anyone. If you not going to hold it, then 'don't offer it". Yes, I would have been fine if the offer was not made. Now, I'm not going 'angry bird' and say this will happen to you. But this is what happened to me and I've got the emails to support it. More
Couldn't Ask For A Better Experience We purchased a 2012 Volkswagen Beetle Turbo from Global Mini on 10/26. We found the car online and reached to out the dealership. The Internet sales We purchased a 2012 Volkswagen Beetle Turbo from Global Mini on 10/26. We found the car online and reached to out the dealership. The Internet sales person, Jonathan Burnett contacted us about the vehicle and gave a very good description of the car. Since the vehicle was a new listing, there were no photos posted online. Jonathan test drove the car for us and provided photos of the vehicle for our review, since we live in NC. He assured us the vehicle was in great shape and is worth the purchase. I flew in to Atlanta and Jonathan picked me up in the Beetle. This car looks new and is in great condition. Global Imports had me in and out of there in less than 30 minutes, so I could drive our car back to NC. Jonathan was great to work with and provided us a great car! More

Global Import mini - Disappointing Service Dept. Global Import Mini does not fail to DISAPPOINT, I called the part dept for a new battery for 08 Clubman, the guy put me on hold as soon as he answere Global Import Mini does not fail to DISAPPOINT, I called the part dept for a new battery for 08 Clubman, the guy put me on hold as soon as he answered the phone, he finally came back and I told him I needed a battery, he asked me for the Amp hour and cold crank Amps, he gave me a price of $235. I asked him what the group size and if it was AGM battery. He said he did not know what AGM battery was and since the spec on the screen did not indicate it No CLUE. No effort to ask or look for the information. I called different Mini Dealer and this is what they told me. If the battery is 70ah/570 CCA the battery group size is H6/48 which is used in the BMW 1 series but if go to other part store and look up the battery it will show H5/47 @ 60ahr group which is smaller than the my original that was in my 08 Clubman. Disappointing - Called Jamey Holt based on response posted, basically he apologized and he would let the service team know. My service adviser was Chris Margret. No resolution to the issue, if they really wanted to resolve this issue they could have contacted me directly not just post a response - they were not expecting any one to call based on the response. Before you buy a Mini check out the service, they will promising the world and their service reps go above and beyond to promise that they will take care of any issue but when they really need to back up their promise just hollow promises. Talking to other Mini Owner - Top answers they will give you for rough idle - You’re not using tier 1 gas, Carbon buildup on intake Manifold, Fuel Injectors needs cleaning. My Problem was a Faulty Fuel Pump that is on a Recall not Carbon build up on intake manifold. $700 for repair that was not needed. He Agreed that they should have tried the fuel pump first instead of doing the carbon cleaning on the manifold ( Big Profit Margin). Get a Second Opinion I have been taking my mini to be serviced to Global Import Mini since I bought the car in 2008. They lost my trust today, last month I brought my mini in for a check engine light (I checked the code and it was for an engine misfire) and a coolant leak. I was told that the water pump was bad and the check engine light was due to Carbon build up on the intake manifold. I told them I just had the carbon build up cleaned 30k miles ago. I was questioning the carbon buildup diagnosis of issues with the mini cooper since it was cleaned by them. I had them fix the issue at a cost of $700 per item for repair. This is a known issue due to the Design of the engine where the oil vapors are recirculated through the intake manifold and direct fuel injection system does not wash over the intake valves to keep them clean of deposits and the turbo models are worst about this. I checked with other mini owners and Carbon build up does happen but not every 30k miles. They told me they found a code in the on-board diagnostic for fuel pump and they were going to be replaced it to be on the safe side and it was covered under the warranty. Wow that was nice of them so I thought. This is where they lost my trust and I have to question everything now. I found out today that there was a recall on the fuel pump and all the symptoms I was having was due to the fuel pump and not carbon build up. It’s a shame that they would tack on service just to make a sales quota. I just had the mini in for a scheduled maintenance and they did not address the recall on the fuel pump, the recall on for the fuel pump was already published at that time. I got the same line about it was the gasoline issue that it was not 3 tier fuel. I use nothing but premium from QT or Exxon. It’s ironic that when the car was under warranty they just did the minimum work but once out of warranty all there are all kinds of services required. Warranty work is not as profitable as regular service but push service that may not be required to make sales quota. They lost my trust. I will have to find another place for service. More

I had a great experience with the service department at Global Imports Mini and it is in great part to Kathy Angus. I bought my Mini used from another dealership and recently moved to Atlanta, so this was Global Imports Mini and it is in great part to Kathy Angus. I bought my Mini used from another dealership and recently moved to Atlanta, so this was my first visit to a mini dealership for service in this area. I came to Global Imports for routine maintenance as well as a problem with my car shaking while braking at high speeds. I was incredibly stressed to find out I would need my brake pads and warped rotors replaced, but Kathy gave a thorough explanation of what was going on and what needed to be done so I understood the issue completely. Being a person of little means since losing my job and taking a job with much less pay, I was very concerned about the price. While I know that a Mini is not as cheap to fix as an American made car, I was pleasantly surprised that Kathy made sure I got the best deal possible for my needs. She was extremely friendly, helpful, and caring during my visit and I will not hesitate to take my car back to Global Imports and Kathy again. Driving my car off the lot, I could immediately tell the difference in how my car was running and was immediately thrilled and justified in trusting the service department at Global Imports. It is difficult to find a service department that you do not feel like you've been stripped of all of your money for little work, but this service department did a lot for a pretty reasonable price, considering I am one of many that chose to buy a Mini Cooper instead of a cheaper car.
