Buying my car at Elk mountain motors was a very enjoyable experience. I looked at used cars in Colorado Springs and Denver, and they by far had the best selection and prices. Robert had my brand new studded tires put on the car, it was beautifully cleaned and detailed, and there was a full tank of gas. Was so nice to pick up my car and have it all ready to go! They even helped me set up the blue tooth. Chris and Robert kept me up to date every step of the way with how the financing would work, and all of the logistics with the car. Chris worked magic making numbers work for me, and getting a competitive interest rate. When I called a week later concerned about the breaks, they checked the car out no questions asked. Customer service was very friendly- even gave me a ride to target and back while car was being serviced. Working with Chris and Robert was a pleasure! I would highly recommend Elk Mountain Motors!!! I came to this dealer from Grand Junction, Colorado to purchase a used Lexus. It was on a Saturday. After we purchased the car it was nearly closing time. The salesman and finance manager seemed to disa purchase a used Lexus. It was on a Saturday. After we purchased the car it was nearly closing time. The salesman and finance manager seemed to disappear. I had a hard time finding anyone to help me remove the window stickers so we could see to drive home. The gas tank was nearly empty and the best they would do is offer to fill it only to half a tank. A couple of days later Chris Hamlin called me to tell me be couldn't process the title until he collected another $143 to pay the County sales tax. I gave him my credit card number. Four weeks later I noticed the radiator was leaking. I called and asked about the three month warranty they offered and they never called me back! Finally, after several phone calls and left messages I managed to get ahold of Christ Hamlin. He told me that it wasn't covered under their warranty but he would like to have his service department look at it and see what he could do to help me. He gave me his direct phone number and email and told me to get in touch when I could bring it back to set up an appointment. After several calls and emails these last two weeks I have yet to hear from him! I ended up replacing the radiator myself because the leak grew worse. Customer service at this dealer is truly awful! Most of the time when you call you get an answering service. I would definitely NOT recommend this dealer. More

Got great price on trade in for new car and when I took it in for the first service, Bruce was very courteous, professional and outstanding to deal with. The dealership was close and convenient for me though, and I haven't presonally heard any negative experiences so I figured why not g these reviews. Jason was friendly and courtious, and really wanted to help us find exactly the car we needed. Josh, who was the used car manager I believe, really helped in making the numbers work for us. After my experience, I am shocked to see some of these reviews, but hope that others will see mine and not pass up on Elk Mountain Motors. More

Purchased used vehicle. Sales person need to have a cigarette before he could complete the paperwork. Found out the next day several things were wrong with the vehicle. Showed up at the dealer and salesman walked away. Have tried contacting the dealer by phone several times. Left messages and spoke with manager. Dealer says they will call back and never do. Dealer did not honestly disclose everything about the vehicle. Do not buy from this dealer. You will end up with a car that needs a lot of work and a dealer who doe not care because they've made money off of you. More

I CALLED AND TALKED TO RICHARD ABOUT A SPECIFIC NEW VW TO BUY,HE TOLD ME TO COME DOWN AT A SPECIFIC TIME AND WE COULD MAKE THE DEAL. I own a 2001 VW beetle which i took to Elk Mountain motors to have the ABS brakes repaired. While in thier possesion a light or something like that was left on resulting in the battery going dead.They motors to have the ABS brakes repaired. While in thier possesion a light or something like that was left on resulting in the battery going dead.They jump started my car and left it to run unattended. While it was left running the car overheated causing substantial damage to the engine. The first call i received from the service dept was to tell me that the water pump had gone out while the car was running and the repair cost was going to be around 1500.00 to fix. They were very sure there was no damage to the engine. So as i declined to take responsibility for them leaving it running and causing the damage they decided to repair the car. Two weeks later i recieve a phone call saying that the engine was no good and they were going to replace the engine with one they had found on the east coast. I was fine with this as it seemed they were going to stand up and take responsibility and fix my car. It took them three months to get my car repaired. They did offer a loaner two months after the car was damaged and after i had already spent 1100.00 on a rental car which they declined to reimberse me for. The car was repaired with a used engine and at least i got that out of the deal but my main complaint is that the original repair was on the brake system which they also fixed and charged me full price for. After all of the problems i had with this and they wouldnt adjust the the bill at all. I did not expect them to eat the total bill even after three months of inconvenience, but after everything that happened i felt they should have at the very least paid for the rental car and given me a break on the repair bill which was 1700.00 for repairing the ABS. Very dissapointed with the service i received as when i questioned the bill they acted like they had done me a favor and that i was out of line for asking. More

Rich was wonderfull he went out of his way to help me. he brought the truck up to rifle for me to test drive.
