Certified Vehicle, expect unexpected expenses...really? Purchased Certified Toyota end of January 2018, 2015 Rav 4 with 37K. Brought my vehicle to Gettel not quite seven months into my ownership, due to dis Purchased Certified Toyota end of January 2018, 2015 Rav 4 with 37K. Brought my vehicle to Gettel not quite seven months into my ownership, due to disturbing right front grinding sound and difficulties with car not starting in morning day prior. Informed my vehicle needed $300+ in repairs. Spoke with Service Director Evan Warner about repairs needed so soon after my purchase. Evan stated, “Your vehicle has too many miles.” I gathered from conversation, this is not unusual and expected on used certified vehicles. Course sales department touts low miles and the Certified used status. I’m attaching written quote below. TAKE: Spend the money and have an independent mechanic inspect your used certified vehicle before signing on the line.
