The communication is impossible and Daniel, the finance associate on our deal is incompetent. We’ve waited almost 2 months to get information so we can get our tag and received a call threatening legal action from our local tag office because we waitoed so long. Daniel continued to tell us they were waiting for the paperwork but the paperwork was waiting for us, it’s just that no one told us. Additionally, we needed an updated temp tag while we waited on our actual tag and it was impossible to get it. We were told it would be overnighted but we got it exactly one week after they sent it. We happened to be back in town and Daniel conveniently was OOO but told us he would print it and have it ready. It was in fact not ready. And the finance director could not be bothered to step away from his cell phone to assist us. And when we asked for help putting it on, he acted like we were an inconvenience. I’d think when we are spending $95k on a vehicle, customer service would matter but no one at this dealership could be bothered. I’d rather pay double than use this dealership again. This is not how you do business, especially to our sales guy who was very new and very inexperienced. The other guys just threw him out to fend for himself. But post sale, he refused to help too. I tried multiple ways of getting in contact with someone and no one would call me back. If you can avoid Gettel of Bradenton, I highly suggest it. More

Slimy, deceiving, deceptive, SKETCH xx so RUN far and fast away from here. Someone in Florida is driving a 2013 Chevy Cruze that was illegally sold by this dealer. You are driving a car that was not legally theirs to sell. I have the original title in New York as well as the original dealer key and the NYS DMV also confirmed the illegal transaction! The dealer knew I wasn’t happy with a trade deal. The deal was eventually restructured and the trade was to be returned and replaced with a cash deposit of $1,500. I advised them I was coming to pick up my car and drive the 1,450 miles home. I purchased a one way flight from NY on Saturday. The following Tuesday the paperwork was restructured, Wednesday I worked until noon and flew to Florida to pick up the car. Uber’d to dealer arriving around 5pm bringing home made cookies and chocolate chip cream cheese cupcakes as a peace offering for the multiple emails, texts and redos on the paperwork. Apologized profusely for all the back and forth on the contracts. Was made to sign a gifting form for the $1,500 deposit, then a manager came in, shut the door and proceeded to tell me they sold the Cruze! I thought they were lying? WHAT, you sold my car? The one I came 1,450 to drive home? They gave me that famous line “how can we turn this around for you”? I said give me my car so I can leave! I have a very long 22 hour drive home and need to get back to my family, dogs and work. I was just down here on vacation for 10 days and needed to get on the road. I could not believe this. I worked, just traveled 1,450 to uber to a dealer to be told they (knowingly) sold my car? Why did they just tell me they sold the car and save me the trip, several hundreds of dollars, my vacation days, to travel to retrieve a vehicle they clearly knew was gone, then the stress that almost sent me to ER. It was to have me sign the form for the Cruze! My two daughters almost made the trip on my behalf! I cannot begin to imagine if they were the ones who got this news delivered to them. Gettel Toyota illegally sold a vehicle they did not attain proper authority or documentation to sell, but THATS OK BY THE LAW and clearly by the company owner Mr. James Gettel. PROTECT YOURSELVES! PROTECT YOU HARD-EARNED MONEY! Respect yourself and do yourself a HUGE favor. RUN FAR AND FAST from ANY Gettel Automotive Dealership - They own 20 throughout Florida. It was too stressful and I paid full sticker price for two (2) brand new 2026 vehicles for a cost of over $100,000. Monthly payments of over $1,650 to be treated with so much disrespect I’m appalled! After crying for many hours, I got a little empathy from Yeral Gonzales. He was kind and showed me compassion. I was angry with myself that I fell for their scam and wasted my time going back down there to be humiliated and embarrassed. Ask yourself. After reading my experience, spending $100,000 purchasing NOT LEASING, 2 vehicles and being treated as such, would you really want to buy a vehicle here? BUY A VEHICLE ELSEWHERE! No negotiating! I paid full sticker for 2 brand new vehicles and was treated this way. Who won in this deal. Clearly not me. I am defeated. I lost my mom’s car. I lost 2 days of work. I lost my self esteem. We spoke with Anahi and were told the car would be ready when we arrived around noon today for the test drive. We drove two hours to the dealership with a significant cash down payment and financing already approved through Navy Federal because we were prepared to purchase the vehicle that day. When we arrived, we were handed off to another salesperson and waited quite a while before being told the car actually had a bad transmission and was unavailable. Apparently they had discovered this earlier that morning. A quick phone call while we were driving would have saved us a four-hour round trip. To make matters worse, when we decided to leave, the interaction with another salesperson became very unpleasant. As we were leaving with our young daughter, one of the staff members told us to “take our brat with us.” Completely unprofessional and unacceptable. I was also surprised that when we arrived, the staff greeted and shook my husband’s hand while ignoring me — even though I was the one purchasing the vehicle. We came ready to buy a car and instead left feeling disrespected after wasting half our day driving there and back. We came ready to purchase with financing through Navy Federal, so this experience was especially disappointing. We texted them when we left for the dealer and texted them when we were 20 minutes from the dealer. There was no consideration for our time or the drive we made. Sales manager was super condescending, stating at one point that they had sold 41 cars today. Honestly, I don’t care if you sold 1 or 50, my time is more important. I would never recommend or refer someone to this dealership. We went in on June 3, 2025 and put a $500 deposit down on a Toyota Corolla Cross. We were told by Avery the car would be on Friday or Saturday. We went back on Saturday because the salesman does not call customers back. It was not in. I emailed salesman Joe on Monday and was told by email back the car would be in on Tuesday. I emailed him Tuesday with no reply other "it will be in later and he would contact us when it got in". At 4:32 PM I called and left a message the deal was done and that we would be back the next day for our deposit back. At 4:54 PM Joe EMAILED to congratulate us on our next car. So he does not listen to voice mail or call customers back. We went back the next day and Joe was off. Mind you this was his second day off since we were dealing with him. We spoke to Avery the manager and as cocky as can be he made us go to our bank to get a copy the check was cashed. We went to the bank, got the copy of the check that showed "for deposit only" and he told us that was not enough proof. 17 day later and after multiple calls we got our money back. This is the most unprofessional, rude and inconsiderate car dealership I have ever death with. More

Finally 1st week of June we were told car was ready only to arrive & find it was missing parts. They had no idea what happened to them so they had to order replacement parts. Then a few days later the parts arrived then they said they ran out of bolts! Had to order them! Today June 11th, Eric said it was “triple checked”. Within a few minutes I find a significant flaw in the paint. We had just returned our rental we have had since April so we decided to drive it home to check it out. We have to take the car back again next week, get another rental & wait for God knows how long. NEVER TAKE YOUR CAR HERE!! More
