scion of the times dealer review part 1 (per visit) April 29 I was looking for a new car that had the following characteristics: 1. the best MPG (non-hybrid), 2. perfect IIHS crash test ratings or at least near I was looking for a new car that had the following characteristics: 1. the best MPG (non-hybrid), 2. perfect IIHS crash test ratings or at least near perfect. 3. perfect or at least above average reliability. After doing the research (Consumer Reports, edmonds,.com, etc), the newly introduced 2016 Scion IA was the clear choice. Our sales associate was Mr. Ricardo Aguilera (Product Specialist). throughout, Ricardo was friendly, informative, patient. At no time did my wife or I experience any sales pressure, evasiveness or any sort of negativity. At the end of the test drive, I asked him to list the dealership fees as part of the ability to come up with a fair "out the door" price for the car (as advised by Consumer Reports). He was fine to write them down. A couple of hours later, my wife returned to negotiate the "out the door" price and was introduced to Mr. Scott Anderson. After a bit of negotiating, an "out the door" price that we believe was fair for both sides was agreed upon. My wife told me that throughout the negotiations, Mr. Anderson was friendly and polite which helped make that part of the car buying experience more palatable. Along with the car we traded in, we are satisfied. While the paper work and car prep was going on, I returned and I spent an hour enjoying the exceptional open floor plan lounge area, compete with a big screen TV and a nice generous snack selection of free bottled water, coffee, various snack bags (potato chips, Frito corn chips, Doritos, pretzels,, etc). I enjoyed watching HGTV (Thank heavens it wasn't the usual daytime soaps and talks shows......boring!), and during commercials I could walk around and look at the show room cars, or go the big glass wall where one can watch the comings and goings of cars coming into the shop for their scheduled maintenance. It's the best lounge room waiting area I've yet to experience. I'll actually look forward to waiting for my car to be serviced. When it was time to take possession of our new Scion IA, our new car was waiting in a special designated pick up area. Ricardo Aguilare and Ryan (pardon but forgot his last name). They gave the car a spot check, for which one tiny paint ding was noticed. They said it would be fixed free of charge when we'd soon come in for the instillation of the window tinting and the navigation system. Overall, we are happy with the car buying experience that we had at Germain Toyota. Even with the realities of buying a car, the experience was pleasant, fair and non contentious and along with excitement that comes with getting a new car, my wife and I basically considered the whole experience to be a vacation. As a Result, when the time comes to replace car #2, (SUV), Germain Toyota has earned our consideration (Rav4). More
