Situation: I was looking to buy a new Azera or Genesis sedan I had not purchased a new car in 12 years; therefore I was new to Dealerrater.com and I decided to use this website as a guide to choosing d sedan I had not purchased a new car in 12 years; therefore I was new to Dealerrater.com and I decided to use this website as a guide to choosing dealers to work with. That is why I was surprised when I received such terrible service from Gerald Hyundai. My sales person was Dany Khochaba he is one of the worst sales people I have ever dealt with in the process of any major purchase. I am an educated shopper and it was very clear after two meetings with Dany that I new far more about these cars than he did. I repeatedly asked him questions about these cars that I already knew the answers to and I would say he answered them correctly only 25% of the time. I also asked Dany and Mike Chino to fill out a financing worksheet that I got from consumer reports so I could understand the true cost of financing or leasing these cars. Mike filled out the forms for me which I appreciate but Dany said he didn't understand why I needed this kind of information and why I asked so many questions, REALLY??? I'm looking to spend between $35 - $45 thousand dollars and I shouldn't be asking a lot of questions or trying to understand the financial mechanics backwards and forwards, REALLY! One other major problem I had was that Mike Chino would not discuss final price unless I was ready to close the deal that day. This negotiating tactic seemed very old school to me and drove me to work with other Hyundai dealers. You may think some of your car models classify as luxury but you certainly do NOT offer a luxury experience. I want Gerald Hyundai to know that in the end I bought a new 2012 Azera with Tech Package in Black/Black and I bought a second new car for my wife, a 2012 Sonata Limited Turbo from Gartner Hyundai. So you didn't just lose one purchase but two!! Also, I have already told my large family & group of friends to never consider buying a car from Gerald Hyundai. More
Tony Scaglione was great to work with. He listened to our needs, did everything he could to accommodate them, was always available when we called, worked with us on the price and basically made it a pleasure needs, did everything he could to accommodate them, was always available when we called, worked with us on the price and basically made it a pleasure to buy our car. If a problem came up he was right there to fix it. For the first time ever buying a new car we feel like we got the best deal and were treated fairly. Sam was very helpful and polite throughout the car buying process. He spent a considerable amount of time working through all the small and important details of purchasing the car without putting any type o process. He was flexible enough to work with me on some main issues that I had with the purchase of the car and I felt that we went through a very fair and honest negotiating process that worked for both myself and the dealership. Sam even went above and beyond after the purchase of the car to make sure that I had everything I needed before I left the lot. Fabian Brooks and Mike Chino also worked with me and I also found them to both be very helpful. They both went above and beyond to work with me to make sure that I was satisfied all the different areas of purchasing the car (trade-in, financing, warranty, etc). I would come back again to Gerald Hyundai to purchase a car and would recommend Sam Katz to my friends and family. More

Dany, my primary Salesperson, was an excellent person to work with. He deeply cared about my 'wants' and 'needs' when trying to select my new car. He also was extremely personal and made sure to be in touch with me throughout the entire process. Dany is a great, great person to work with. I can't forget about the rest of the team at Gerald Hyundai that also assisted me in my car buying process. They were all a complete pleasure to work with, and some of them even "went to bat" for me in terms of options. They all made sure that I was taken care of in a timely manner, and had all the patience in the world with me on explaining everything that had to do with my new vehicle. - Thank you, thank you! I visited Gerald Hyundai looking for a preowned vehicle. Michael was very patient showing me several models on the lot. When I saw the vehicle that I ended up purchasing, we took it for a test drive and the Michael was very patient showing me several models on the lot. And then came back for further negotiations. We wee ready to walk out, but Michael and manager found a way for it to work. Needless to say we all stayed way longer to make a deal on Christmas Eve. Thanks Michael for your time, expertise and patience. I will definitely send friends. I had actually visited two other dealerships last week and found this service to be ecxceptional. Kathy More
After visiting another hyundai dealer I specifically went to gerald hyundai because they had a good dealership rating online! He's really a "FAMILY MAN" I guess you can say. He's won many sales awards and I can tell why. GERALD HYUNDAI GAVE US A MUCH BETTER PRICE THAT THE OTHER HYUNDAI DEALER!!! And my dad and I are definitely planning to GO BACK SOON for the next car we buy! Mike was really concerned with what I needed and he got us the deal we wanted! Out of a 10 I would give this dealership a FULL 10 maybe 11! They had great customer service! More
I can't say enough about Sam and Fabian. As my sales/finance team, they were helpful, friendly, courteous, patient, and above all, straightforward. They bent over backwards to help me get my new sales/finance team, they were helpful, friendly, courteous, patient, and above all, straightforward. They bent over backwards to help me get my new car. From a sale perspective, Sam friendly demeanor is only matched by his no-BS way of selling. His knowledge about the cars were spot on and was did not push for one model or another. Rather, he would allow me to base my judgment on what I wanted while he provided factual feedback when required. In all, he had that hard-to-find balance needed by every excellent salesperson. Fabian made it very easy for financing. His realistic, non-BS approach was complemented by his sheer tenacity to find the right financing. Financing is usually the worst time for a potential buyer, where reality finally hits and real money is exchanged. This is where most buyers can feel trapped and/or hesitant. Fabian, helped by showing the reality of the situation and at the same time, showing options that allows the buyer to make a positive decision without fear of the feeling of, ‘being had’. In short, he really does put the customer first. More
I absolutely love this dealership as well as the people who work here. I was greeted at the door by Brenden last Saturday even in the rain. He listened to what I was looking for in a vehicle and then showed me my options. Even though I probably asked him the same questions several times, Brenden was always happy to answer them again. During our test drive, Brenden pointed out important items in the Santa Fe that my Elantra may have had just in different locations and the 'new' items that I had not previously had in my old car. While we waited for the final paperwork steps to be finished we were even offered cookies to enjoy while we waited. Brenden and Ed were very helpful in explaining all details to me. I would definitely recommend this dealership to others! More

I should also mention Jim the manager worked very closely with Sam and us to make certain he didn't lose a potential customer. Mike the Finance Mgr was very efficient in processing the paperwork and concluding the transaction. Our experience with the dealership has been very professional and satisfying to date.
