From the start everyone was welcoming and very knowledgeable about all of the vehicles and options. Vecdet Yagtu was extremely helpful and worked with us to find the vehicle that had all of our specifications. He responded quickly to all of our questions and kept us updated during the entire proces. He gave us a thorough tour of our new vehicle and showed us all the aspects we needed to know. Overall we had a very personal and pleasant experience purchasing this car and plan to return to Gengras Volvo in the future! Thank you! More

Pleasant and Expedient Personnel I'll be honest with you, right up front...we'd had unpleasant experiences with Gengras Sales personnel several years ago when we were in the market fo I'll be honest with you, right up front...we'd had unpleasant experiences with Gengras Sales personnel several years ago when we were in the market for 2 previous Volvo purchases. Both purchases ended up being concluded at area dealers, as Gengras didn't seem interested in our business at the time - or that was the impression the Sales persons gave us during our visit. NOT THIS TIME!! Both Vecdet and Allan were very personable, attentive and anxious to correct any previous misgivings we had about our dealings with their company. They didn't make excuses for our previous experience and quickly moved forward to do what they could to answer questions and assist in us locating a car that fit our needs. After taking us on a test drive, we sat down and reviewed the requirements I had for a new vehicle. They didn't have a vehicle on their lot that met our specs, but immediately began the process to locate one in the area. Since they also did not have one on their lot in the color I requested, they (Allan Fiergola) did identify one at one of their other dealerships. They offered to transfer the vehicle to their East Hartford location, in order that we could see the actual color (versus the color on the computer...they are never the same!). Instead, as it was the weekend, we opted to drive the 20 miles or so to their other location. We saw the vehicles and called back to confirm that the color was acceptable. They located a vehicle at another dealer in New England and the negotiations began. Allan Fiergola very quickly reviewed the XC90 we were bringing for trade-in. Their first offer was a bit low, but they were able to improve the offer. Upon closing the contractual paperwork, we dealt with another employee in the dealership, Justin Cassista, who was also very personable. He explained every part of the process very clearly and answered all our questions without hesitation. I would say at this point in time, Gengras has won back a customer they had lost TWICE before. We live 45 minutes away and will be using their service department as well - not just for the car we just bought but for our other Volvo that we bough from a competitor. Not only did they stay after hours ( 9:00PM) for the test drive and another day for delivery they advocated for us to get out registration in a timely manner (CT DMV went digital ????what a mess), but this team worked behind the scenes and delivered. By the way we drove 1 hour each way for this service and would do it ALL over again???????????????? More

The worst customer service. Placed $$ down in cash on a vehicle and turned out the financing options did not work for me and my family. We explained this to our sales person Kevin and asked him to refund us our $$. He stated that he wasn't sure what the procedure was and would call us back. We called and left messages for Kevin and the general manager, as it was 3 days later and we had not heard back from anyone regarding our $$. 4 days later we receive a call from Kevin stating that a check would be mailed out to us that day. A week later we receive a call from Kevin stating that now we need to sign a paper before they can actually give us our $$ back. When we stated that we would go sign in person, he stated that they cannot refund us our $$ on the spot and that it would be easier to fax or email the paper. Its been 2 weeks since our decision to not move forward with the vehicle purchase and we are still going back and forth with this dealership regarding getting our $$ back. I will also be contacting the better business bureau. Beware when doing business with this dealership and or putting $$ on a vehicle. More
Emergency service I had never been to Gengras Volvo before. Driving through CT all my warning lights came on at once. After pulling over and checking under the hood, I had never been to Gengras Volvo before. Driving through CT all my warning lights came on at once. After pulling over and checking under the hood, I restarted the engine and the check engine light stayed on. I searched online for the nearest Volvo service and found Gengras. I got the car there, even though they were busy, they were able to get me into service. Within an hour, they identified the problem and got me on my way for the next four hours of my trip. Too boot, at no charge. Peter in service was knowledgable and very professional. In fact everyone I met was professional. The waiting room was pleasant. Overa More
