James helped us after a two hour drive to trade our Ford in for a new Volkswagen. The worst dealership in town. I bought a used 2021 Ford Explorers with 55991 miles on it. I didn’t drive the car as I needed to learning all features on the car before using it. I bought a used 2021 Ford Explorers with 55991 miles on it. I didn’t drive the car as I needed to learning all features on the car before using it. The car just sat in my garage until I need to plug in the snapshot from Progressive car insurance. I can’t turn on the car as the battery died. I called the dealer and reported the problem. They sent the technician over to replace the battery and charged me $446.23 for this service. I can have this battery replaced at Costco or Walmart for just $179.90 if I can bring the car there. However, I have no other choice by accepting the service. I asked the Sale Manager Justin to do the right thing instead of overcharge me for this. He said because I don’t drive the car so the battery died, and nothing he can do about this. I told him I have to write a review on this then he got mad and tell me he will not do anything. I ended up have to do whatever needed to be done in order to have my car run; otherwise, I have to pay more to car insurance for not having the snapshots plugged in. What kind of customer service is it? Labor for replacing the battery is $89.95 + tax while I can have a free installation if I buy a battery from Costco or Walmart. Stay away from Gene Messer Volkswagen, the worst dealer in town. More
