I’ve never had problems. 60,000 mile service and front wheel lug nuts were loose driving off the lot. Pulled over in traffic and had to hand tighten lug nuts to return to dealership. Service employee was advised and showed concern and had mechanic fix his error. I asked for another person or supervisor to inspect wheel and wheel studs for damage that being I was preparing for a trip out of state. It was reported to me I caught the issue before damage occurred and service manager voiced to the service employee to tell me if I had any issues with the front wheel it would be taken care of. Not one time did the service manager or supervisor make any contact with me. I feel that I could have been seriously injured in an accident because the lack of a safety inspection of the mechanic. My safety and loyalty to the dealership meant nothing and was a formality. Truly disappointing today’s interaction or lack of interaction with supervisors. This is the nicest Ford shop in Amarillo , they do good work , I don't like pulling into their shop and being ignored , You have to pull into their shop and go inside to ask for help , it didn't use to be work , I don't like pulling into their shop and being ignored , You have to pull into their shop and go inside to ask for help , it didn't use to be that way , You were greeted as soon as You drove in , now it's a guess which 1 out of 4 will help You , 3 hours for an oil change today , at least the service writer apologized for the wait. I really appreciated my experience with Gene Messer Ford service department. They were responsive, honest and proactive throughout the process. Terrible repair service. Fraudulent service. I took my truck in and was first told not to turn it in for transmission complaint because it would be waiting on the lot for abo Fraudulent service. I took my truck in and was first told not to turn it in for transmission complaint because it would be waiting on the lot for about 3 months to even be looked at. I took it in for another complaint regarding a rattling in my driver side wheel base when they inspected it they told me it was gonna be a $1500 repair and warranty didn’t cover it so when I contacted warranty they told me that the part maximum was $175 through the dealership but I can get it cheaper through Amazon and also told me that the repair for that is 1.5 hours and the dealership charges about $160 for the repair per hour. When I asked the service manager how did they get $1500 repair he couldn’t answer the question but did say I needed a new actuator and all the hoses and cables were corroded and gave me back my keys and said if I don’t want to repair there then I don’t have to when I went home to fix the part myself which took me roughly 35 minutes, none of the hose or cables had been corroded. Also the tension on the lug nuts were so tight I needed a breaker bar to remove them. I was looking at the front shock that was “replaced new” a month prior. They told me that it needed to be repaired because it was damaged. Charge me $2000 for a brand new shock and upon inspection, The shock had the amount of wear that the other three shocks had and did not appear to be new whatsoever. I questioned the service manager, and I sent him a picture and he said I’m not at work I’ll look at it later, and after one week, I still have not heard from them. More
