Was looking for a used car for my son, Gordon, who just moved back home. My father and I had three cars to look at, and one was a 2005 Hyundai Tucson GLS 4WD with over 100,000 miles. We saw the Tucson online at usedcars.com Thurs. night and it looked really great. Friday at 11AM, we went to Garvey. Since our family has had multiple vehicles from Garvey, we decided to go there first. BRAD BERNARD came up and met us as we walked in. Brad treated us like VIP customers before he even knew us. We told him which car we were there to look at. They'd just gotten it in on trade, but he knew everything about the vehicle as he had sold it - one owner, and highway miles like we'd hoped for, so Brad had me and my Dad take it for a drive. He went through all the features of the car and asked questions about my son and what he needed the car for. When we went inside to talk more, BRAD'S knowledge, professionalism, and sense of humor were a 5+. We talked about people we both knew, and my father knew his family. (Small world.) I told Brad that this was our 1st stop of 3, and he smiled and said 'I will work with you to put your son in the right car right here. You won't need to go anywhere else.' Skeptical me, I just smiled back and thought 'we'll see...' Well, he talked about the many benefits of their Tucson and he said 'we can sit you in this car with a price that works for you.' He was quick to answer everything we asked and he DID work out a price we were happy with. The only hold up was that my son was working and couldn't look at it until Saturday AM. I put money down as a hold around 1PM and we left. A little while later, Brad called and said 'if Gordon can get his insurance cards tonight and email them to me, we can have plates on the car so he can drive it to work tomorrow. My son came home from work and found insurance. He sent a copy of the email to Brad. Brad said come up at 9AM when we open tomorrow (a Saturday), I'll have the plates on and I'll have Gordon at work by his 10AM start time. Gordon loved the Tucson, it was spotless inside and out and looked brand new even though it was a 2005. We had all the paperwork done by 10:05 and Gordon was just about on time for work PLUS he drove there with his new car! Brad came through on everything he said he would, and Garvey was great at moving things along. We were kept informed every step of the way. We were so impressed with Brad, that when the weather breaks and my son has a big cook-out, we invited Brad and his family to join us. Our whole car shopping excursion took less that 24 hours at Garvey with Brad, and we never did look anywhere else. Next trade-in for Gordon will be with Brad/Garvey. I have a 2012 Kia to which Brad said 'come see me when you want to trade and I'll sit you in a car that you'll be happy with. This time I wholeheartedly believe him and I'll be passing out his business cards from now on. More
Brad Bernard is accomodating, attentive, patient, and thorough. He has assisted us with past Hyundai automobile purchases and his sales demeanor and practices have been consistently professional. By far the worst dealership i have ever dealt with. They lie to get you where you they want to you and promise one thing and do another. I got a 2011 Tucson it was supposed to be an all wheel drive and it lie to get you where you they want to you and promise one thing and do another. I got a 2011 Tucson it was supposed to be an all wheel drive and it ended up not being that, I didnt realize that till a few weeks later, when I called they wouldn't do anything about it but give me new tires. Then they send me a pamphlet on a good deal for a car so I go in and talk with someone about it, they lead me to believe I will be getting that car in a couple days and then a couple hours before I am supposed to go pick it up they say the need money. That place is a joke and I would never recemond them to anyone! More
Went in thinking I was going to give a salesman a run for his money, but he got me exactly what I was looking for. These guys are great in all aspect of the job, friendly, professional, they are ready to wor his money, but he got me exactly what I was looking for. This is the second time we have purchased a car from Garvey Hyundai Plattsburgh and we are still very happy. The sales staff is friendly and accommodating. Some places make you feel like a crazy driver the way they want all sorts of information before you can test drive a car but here it was more important to let us drive the cars we were interested in and they were very accommodating. Once we had it narrowed down then we quickly and efficiently were given the information necessary about each car. We asked them to price out many different options, cars and years which they did efficiently and accurately. Terrance was very friendly, approachable and honest in his interactions with us. Jeff P was with a customer but offered help where he could. We came home discussed the options, determined what we could afford and called back, negotiated a very acceptable deal and picked the car up 3 days later (one was a Sunday). On pick up Jeff started of with paper work and even washed my old dirty license plates! Terrance finished up carefully explaining the paperwork and the options with the car and how to use them. What a great full service car deal and you can't beat the perks that come with Hyundai. Bluelink, roadside service, warranty, and the options that come with the cars. Terrance and Jeff were great. Go get a Hyundai! More
Adam Brunelle was very courteous, polite, knowledgeable, and patient. The company took care of registration, etc with the car. He took time to explain features in our new Hyundai Tucson 2014.
