I do not normally do reviews however, the experience that I had at Garvey Hyundai warrants me to do so....in a good way. :) I shopped around to 3 other dealers when making the decision to purchase a new vehi I had at Garvey Hyundai warrants me to do so....in a good way. :) I shopped around to 3 other dealers when making the decision to purchase a new vehicle. I was continuously met with the typical corporate mentality where the customer is only a number. When I arrived at Garvey Hyundai in Plattsburgh, I was greeted by literally everyone in the building. I could tell the atmosphere at this location was so much better. I was then teamed up with Brian Baker who proceeded to treat me like an actual person and not just a number. At no time during the purchasing process did i ever feel pressured to make a decision. He truly had my interest and concerns at heart when giving me advice as to which vehicle to choose. In the end he hooked me up with a beautiful Black on Black Santa Cruz SEL! He even went as far as to have it driven down from Maine in order to get the exact one I wanted. I feel I need to recognize the other associates who assisted me during the process. Chuck Lipke, Chris Allen, Mark Allen and Adam Brunelle all went above and beyond to make my experience a great one. If Brian was ever busy working on my purchase they would still lean in and ask if I had questions or how everything was going. Their concern with making me a satisfied customer is something you don't see a lot of these days. Even the financer Chuck, worked up many different options for me in order to get me what I wanted and also keep it within my budget. In the end, I can not say enough about Brian, Chuck and all of the other workers at Garvey Hyundai in Plattsburgh! Over my lifetime, I have always shopped around to different dealers when it came time to trade in or purchase a new vehicle. I'm so happy that I no longer need to do that. Garvey Hyundai North is, by far, the best car dealer we have ever dealt with. This is the second vehicle we purchased from them since 2022. I bought a Santa Fe last year after visiting, and being severely have ever dealt with. This is the second vehicle we purchased from them since 2022. I bought a Santa Fe last year after visiting, and being severely disappointed with, numerous dealers in the NY and VT area. I stopped at Garvey North after my son, a master mechanic in NC for a brand of vehicle which shall remain unnamed, told me I should really look into buying a Hyundai as they are excellent vehicles. He was definitely right. The Santa Fe is incredible. When my wife was ready to trade for a new car last week, we went directly to Garvey. I contacted Scott, the salesman for my vehicle, and told him we would be in this week. He was totally prepared to help us find her the right vehicle. This experience was every bit as great as last years. They gave us a very fair trade-in price for her car. The vehicle Scott had selected for her to test drive was exactly what she wanted. We went in on Monday afternoon not really expecting to make a final deal that day. We left with the deal done and picked up her new Tuscon Limited on Tuesday. She really loved the Buick Regal AWD she traded in. She loves the Tuscon even more. Finally, I have been “singing the praises” of the Hyundai vehicles and the Garvey North dealership to anyone and everyone who would listen. I found that the people who work there are friendly and great to deal with. And I can attest that they are all a fun loving bunch. The service department has been wonderful. I could not believe how comfortable and quiet the Tucson is. Scott is very knowledgeable and very willing to help with any questions you might have. Great cars, great service and great prices; what more could anyone ask for!! More
