Ryan was the best car salesman I've ever dealt with I worked with Ryan to try to get a new Atlas. He worked diligently to try to find one in our area so we did not have to order one (we wanted it sooner I worked with Ryan to try to get a new Atlas. Ryan was incredibly responsive to our questions and helpful in the search. He was professional and courteous at all times. Ultimately, Ryan found us a car that matched our spec but was unable to bring it to Garnet. He did something I found shocking in today's world with commissions as they are, he actually told us about the car and which allowed us to purchase the car we wanted (from another dealer) even though it cost him a sale. He truly cared more about ensuring that we got what we wanted rather than trying to get a commission check. I would highly recommend working with Ryan to anyone that is interested in purchasing a new car. More

Undewhelming Experience for used car So, here is my underwhelming review of Garnet Volkswagen. My Mom has been looking around for a car for herself, last week we came across a 2013 VW So, here is my underwhelming review of Garnet Volkswagen. My Mom has been looking around for a car for herself, last week we came across a 2013 VW Tiguan listed at $12,553, 99,983 miles. Here is the timeline/story..... Emailed for the "e-price" came back at $9962.00 We went in Thursday night to see and drive the vehicle, as we were looking at it we asked some questions about it, specifically what they had done to it and the reliability of the turbo. Salesman said they did an oil change and tires, he did not mention any other service. As with any turbo it could go at any time, nature of the beast, but he did say it would not look good on their business if it went out not long after purchase, turbo is around $1800 to replace. Went on the test drive all went well and it drove nice. We went in the dealership and talked to the used car manager, asked again about the turbo and just chatted. We went home and my Mom asked me about the fluid maintenance, transmission, coolant, and differential and when they had been done, By 99k miles they need to be done or have record of when they were completed. We also wanted to know when the last brake fluid flush and when the Haldex Clutch oil was changed. I emailed the salesman and he got back to me Friday morning and they had no record of the transmission, coolant, and differential being flushed, I asked if they would be doing those before a purchase, he said no, we would have to pay $685.00, I did not agree with that logic. The brake flush and Haldex Clutch oil change were not acknowledged, They are part of the 90k and 100k mile services. After a couple emails and after asking maintenance questions, the salesman all of a sudden comes out and says they made an error in the email price of $9962, they confused it with another car, but would honor it. So I called the used car manager we met Thursday night and tried to explain my point of view, he didn't really want to hear it and tried to say they put $2000 into the vehicle already, he mentioned tires, oil change, and something with a cover, maybe timing, but that was it, $2000 for that seems high, he also told us they are in it at $10,700 and are losing money. I did mention the conversation we had outside with the salesman regarding the turbo and the "good for business" comment, he did not really care about that. So I asked the used car manager why didn't the salesman come out right away and say "hey we made an error on the eprice, but will honor it", I was told they did not want to give us too much info. I told him we would be in Saturday to look at it again after my Mom was done work, unfortunately she got done late and we did not make it in, but I emailed the salesman Saturday night, to this moment I have yet to be emailed back. They did lower the car to $11,962 I believe Friday morning from the original $12,553. The car is not listed on the website any longer, so I am assuming they sold it Saturday morning for more and have just blown us off. So in the end, my take was they may have misquoted the eprice, would honor it, but would not do any service over and above what they needed to do to sell it, to me I would want a used car to go out with it being up to date with service, apparently they just want to sell it and have the customer pay for the services. Sorry I do not want to be blindsided with those costs after a purchase from a local dealer who is supposed to be reputable, this is not a "Buy here, pay here" place. More
