Went in and knew exactly what was needed but was basically dismissed and told me what they had to do and didn’t really explain or help. Overpriced. One of the worst experience I have ever encountered in a service department. I gave them 3 chances and they failed. I finally called the corporate office and still waiting to hear from them. The last visit I had I spent $400 for a full service and within a week my battery died. And after 500 miles I had to replace my brakes. This was supposedly after they checked everything and said everything was good. I wouldn't recommend them to anyone and would never go back. DO NOT TRUST THEM!!! More

This is not the first bad experience with the Service Department. But it will be my last. I have been coming to KIA of GG since 2013. All of my service with the exception of tires has been with GG KIA. Department. But it will be my last. I have been coming to KIA of GG since 2013. On a Friday night I had transmission issue so I brought the car in on Saturday to be told I don’t have a reservation when I came in with a reservation the previous scheduled maintenance I was told by the Service Dept. that they do reservations any more. I go home and make a reservation for the following Wednesday. When I arrive I’m asked 3 times by 3 different people if I have a reservation. When I say “yes” the first 2 people tell me somebody will help you soon. 15 minutes later the 3rd person was Frank in Service Dept. I explain my transmission issue and an issue with my car FOB not locking the car or starting the car. He says no problem the will diagnose the issue. I have an extended warranty that I purchased from the KIA dealer where I bought the car. Frank took down the number from the contract I bought all my original paperwork with me. The warranty is wrap coverage, bumper to bumper, Zero deductible. He said he would call them. On the way back to work (having arranged a ride to pick me up on my lunch hour), Frank calls to ask me to bring the other FOB as the Technician needs it to diagnose the issue, which I bring later that night and leave in the key night drop. Thursday he calls me to inform me the issue with the FOB is the batteries are dead. The only issue I have is I came to the dealership the month before because my FOB batteries were dead in both of them. So I had the Parts Department replace them. $8 dollars later I thought I had 2 FOBs with new batteries. Apparently NOT. Friday afternoon he calls me to tell me my car is ready, that it was a transmission Position Sensor relay and that it would be $258.02. Confused, I asked what the warranty company said. Frank said it was an electronic part that they wouldn’t cover it. I explained to Frank again that is was a Wrap, Bumper to Bumper, No Deductible Warranty and that everything was covered. He said he would call but that if they didn’t cover it it would be $258.02 to pick up my car. I get a call back and Frank tells me that the will cover it, 100%, no deductible. He was shocked. He then informs me that their payment department is closed but he will handle it first thing in the morning. Of course if he had called on Wednesday when I brought the car in KIA would have been paid and I could pick my car up. I wait patiently on Saturday and that afternoon I call and he hasn’t heard back. I called the warranty company and they said there was an issue with the paperwork submitted but unfortunately the payment department was closed. So now because of Frank’s incompetence I won’t be able to pick up my car until Monday! I am not happy!! Monday morning comes and goes I call Frank but get his voice mail. No car on Monday. It is now Tuesday. So I call the Warranty company and am able to get through in 5 minutes. I don’t have a job that is convenient to making personal phone calls during the day. The warranty people are very nice and explain that they are missing page 1 of the Invoice submitted and they need a good fax #. I call Frank and leave a voice message for him and text the information to him. I hear nothing so my wife starts calling the dealership and the guy on the phone tells her he can see the department lead Ruiz Mendoza and that he is not on the phone but she is transferred to his voicemail all the same. So she calls the dealer general manager (who was helpful), and next thing I know Frank is calling me trying to explain. I ask him to please just take care of it. Frank calls my wife and tells her he has tried for hours to get in contact with the warranty company to resolve it and he can’t get through even though I call again and speak with the payment department in 8 minutes. When I call Frank again he tells me that he faxed everything on Saturday to which I say can you please just re-fax it. I want to pick up my car!! Frank called to tell me they would be receiving payment within the hour. Tuesday at 4:30 pm I picked up my car that I brought in on the Wednesday before. Four days after the car was repaired because KIA of GG doesn’t care about their customers with a service department that could care less about customer service or gross incompetence. Almost 8 years I have had every service and scheduled maintenance performed by the Service Department of GG KIA, plus parts and upgrades. Never again!! We love that car but it has put such a sour taste in our mouths we would NEVER buy a KIA again, nor ever recommend this dealership or KIA to anyone else. More
I really appreciated the personal touch by the service employee. He made sure to explain everything in detail, he looked up my warranty and explained it to me and he answered all of my questions.
